I went in to file my taxes with assistance because my husband thought i did them incorrectly at home (1st time doing them myself). Everyone was friendly and kind. We worked hard to get my taxes prepared, but when we were finished, I was shocked that the $85 to work with a pro in office or online was not the case. It was $345! I was given an invoice and a print out to review before submitting. BUT, after reviewing the tax prep before submitting with my brother, we discovered 2 errors. I went back the next day to discuss the errors and get it fixed. I looked up the H&R Block guarantee which clearly states 1. Up front pricing and 2. if you find errors you will not be charged for filing your taxes/refunded for your tax prep fees. 1. The $85 online was not the case and was not given the price until after the process was complete. I wouldn't have waisted anyone's time if I knew that was the price. 2. I asked if I could just not pay the fee since I found mistakes and was told no, that they wouldn't waive the fee. Clearly they don't believe in following through with the guarantee that is clearly posted on their website. I will not be trusting them with any more preparations and advise you to look elsewhere.

I would not ever recommend using this office or their services. I had my appointment moved or cancelled multiple times, and each time it was never checked with me on whether the new appointment would accommodate my busy work schedule. When I finally went in and dropped my tax documents off I was told I would receive an email where I could approve my taxes online. I never received that email. I called back to the office multiple times, and when I finally got ahold of someone it turned out they had typed in the email wrong! Despite me having written down the correct email and being very clear that was the email address I needed anything sent to! They let me know they would fix the email and send it. That was 24 hours ago and I STILL don’t have said email. I finally drove down to the physical office today after work so I could speak with someone in person, and they are closed up, although their posted hours say they should be open another 2 hours. I have called and left messages, and have to hope someone will call me back. Now I cannot even file my own taxes if I wanted to because they have all of my own paperwork. I am MIND BOGGLED as to why I would PAY people for this to be such a hassle! At this point it would have been better and easier for me to do it myself!

I was charged by Angela Bencomo $265. for work less than one hour preparing a very simple tax return. Sadly I call this highway robbery. I will never come back here again, ever!

They are the WORST!!!!!!!I made an appointment to drop off my tax documents and made another appointment to sign off on my finished taxes. When I did show up at my next appointment with RUTH she was all flustered and told me that she just got them in her hand so we need to make another appointment. We refused and told her we have been waiting TWO WEEKS!!! She did them the same day for us but now it’s been a month and still no word on our refund. I tried calling per instructions of the IRS due to them not having any information. When I was connected to the front desk Ruth answered and was extremely rude. She told me she was not able to help me so she decided to just HANG UP ON ME and never answered the phone again. STAY FAR AWAY from this place. Now I’m praying to even get my refund from this place.

I scheduled an appointment by calling their number and when I arrived for my appointment they had no record of my appointment. They insisted I called a different HR block (so it was my fault) even though I have their number in my phone. I called it as I was leaving to make sure the "location I scheduled with" knew I would either be late or not be there and they answered and said I was just there but still argued that I called another HR block still arguing that I was wrong and that they made no error. I told them this is the number I called so this is definitely the location I scheduled with and they said, "No that didn't happen." I laughed at the absurdity. So I scheduled my day, went to bed at a certain time and woke up at a certain time for no reason. I totally get that people make mistakes but for them to insist I didn't call their number when I have it right here in my phone is ridiculous. Plus both people were in there without masks on, yet insisted that I wear one even though I am exempt and told them so. If you're so concerned about the mask why didn't you have it on? One of them was standing there talking to me without it on and the other only pulled it up once I walked into the building.
