Wonderful care of my 9-year-old Australian Shepherd Ryder in his last 2 weeks of life. The staff is caring and very kind.

I’m from California and moved here in 2020 with my 10 year old bichon friese who had been a member of the VCA in Glendale, CA.The transition from one to the other was wonderful and so easy. When she passed away in 2022 the staff at VCA were so supportive! Now I have a German Shepard and the VCA team have taken care of both of us since she was 8 weeks old! I’m 72 years old and my Luna is a full time job that I didn’t think I could handle but with VCA we are now 1 1/2 years old and going strong!

Hey VCA in Sahuarita,Tonya or Tania, the person answering the phones on Saturday October 21, 2923 is going to cost you patience and clients. She is awful at Customer Service. Rude on the phone after she put me on on hold first for 15 minutes and then again for another 5 minutes. I could tell Saturdays are just not her day! She said, “yeah, yeah I was able to cancel your appointment.” Probably needs a bit of a refresher on how to represent your business in a professional manner over the phone. Just awful person!

We had an emergency situation with our dog and were heading to Tucson from Rio Rico as our regular veterinary office was closed. While enroute, our dog was declining quickly. We were able to locate VCA Sahuarita and stopped there. Although we lost our Nikita that night, it wasn’t due to lack of care or life saving efforts on VCA’s part. The entire staff was so compassionate and patient with us as we said goodbye. After receiving Nikita’s remains about a week later, we received by mail a sympathy card personally signed by each staff member. My wife and I were so touched by such a loving gesture. Thank you VCA Sahuarita for the excellent care and for going above and beyond during a very difficult time.

We've been going here for years now and we use to love it. The staff was so caring for the animals and polite to us. I got a new pup and got the new puppy plan with the extra fee for spaying being all included and when it came down to the day they tried to charge me extra. My dog had a previous injury which we had to seek urgent care for and she needed stitches. We got our dog spayed and went in for the recheck of the spay and nothing else was to be done and they removed her stitches on her shoulder wound without talking to me and by the time I got home got her all settled in I noticed her wound was open and was now needing stitches. So now I get to go back to urgent care and pay out of my own pocket because the doctor never asked me if she could take them out. She just assumed they weren't new stitches. Tried calling and letting them know and got nothing but excuses. I think my dog and I are both owed an apology and they need to answer for their mistake. I care for my animals they are my babies and so I will be taking my babies somewhere else that pays a little more attention to the animal and has open communication with the owner.

I called VCA and was greeted by Catherine who was kind, compassionate and clearly loves her job (first plus in my book). Our little rescue had been thru lots of trauma in his short life and we refuse to give up on him. He has always hated going to the vet -- he would get to the door and turn around. So trying to find a vet that is willing to work with a troubled little sole has been hard to find until I found Dr. Schroth. Our first appointment we told her all about his troubles. She decided not to give any vacs, but instead wanted to get to know him. So on the floor she goes to make friends with Louie. She was with him for an hour. Upon leaving the facility, Louie wanted to go back in so we did. He pulled us to the room he was just in and ran to the back door because he heard Dr. Schroth's voice. He's been kicked out of groomers and vet offices because of his aggressions. No one would give him a chance or was willing to put in the time to get to know him. And here is a true professional who loves her job, loves dogs and truly believes there is no bad dog. She was the only vet who provided us with information so we could work on his issues. He's come so far in just a two weeks and it's all because of Dr. Lucy (as Louie knows her by). She's in a class all by herself. No vet I have ever encountered has even come close to her kind and caring ways.

I’m satisfied with this bet, but not really, my animal is overdue on some medications and they have failed to let me know of the due date and have failed to send me an email of the need to get an appointment to get her her meds. I’m thinking I’ll make a change, but I’ll let ‘em know first, if I k ew she was behind I would have took her in for her meds. When it comes to then making money on an appointment there on point but if it’s just meds they seem to be lagging

On Friday, May 26, my beloved dobie Ozzy passed away from lymphoma here at home. I brought him back to VCA Sahuarita. Dr. Schroth and the entire staff have been so kind to Ozzy through his last months. They went above and beyond in the care they providedI just want to express my gratitude to everyone there.

We had to make the difficult decision of putting our 18 year old dog to rest. It was very very hard for us, but they made us confident in our decision. We got an appointment the same day, they took us back into a room immediately when we got there and the staff was so compassionate during the process. The doctor was so sweet and talked us through it, even helped comfort me. I would absolutely recommend going here for all of your pet’s needs. Thank you VCA for making such a difficult time a tad bit easier.

My sister's dog, Lilly, recently required a lengthy dental surgery. We were all very pleased with the exceptional care and attention Lilly received. Dr. Wesley was AMAZING! The techs that assisted her in surgery were knowledgeable, compassionate, and helpful. The friendly office staff made this experience run flawlessly and provided kind support through the process. Thank you to the VCA Valley Animal Hospital of Sahuarita for your excellent service!

They refused to help or even see my dying dog. They told me to drive to Tucson 45 min away.

Excuses! Excuses! Doc offered to call in prescriptions to Costco but won't call. excuses of emergencies and being shorthanded but spends 10 min on phone with me to explain why they can't call it in. Also telling me they have an animal sedated in front of them while they are talking to me on phone making excuses why they don't have time. To the family who's pet who was under sedation while they were on the phone with me you should find a new vet if that's how they are easily distracted. Hope your pet is ok today! I will be looking for a new vet.
