I don't recommend this business because the employees just don't care. Say "Good morning" they don't respond in kind. I haven't heard a "please", "thank you", or an "I'm sorry" when they don't have what you need in a long time. No, I haven't heard the basic language of care, respect, or kindness from here in years. Maybe the employees are miserable but they can't muster the politeness you'd expect from a school child.

I purchased a very large glass The person that helped me was Jackie . She helped me find what Liked in a catalog. She even came out to my car and checked if an empty box that same size would fit in back of car. I had a neighbor bring me back and she brought my purchase out to there car. Jacqueline went above and beyond to satisfy me as a customer. She has great people skills and shows great pride in everything she does. Way to go .

I went in to get some nuts and bolts and things and the service was excellent the best I've ever seen in a hardware place.. I was in and out of there in no time.

By far the best hardware store I have ever been in. It's really not fair calling it just a hardware store.

If I could've given this place a negative 5 I definitely would have. Got off work ( construction) and had time to kill waiting for a friend to get out of the hospitalf. While I was comparing two screw guns for specs I was approached by a gal in her 50s who wasn't wearing the typical Red True Value costume. She asked if I needed help finding something and then told me she could escort me to the register. She was acting strangly and it occurred to me that she thought I was a shoplifter due to my dirty clothes. Whenever I turned the corner on another isle there was the True Value employee fallowing me staring suspiciously. It would be funny if it wasn't so insulting. A couple weeks later I came back to buy a little hardware for my job, and here comes the same gal, out of her spy room or whatever to ask me if I needed help finding something. Then basically did everything short of kicking me out after I found what I needed. I'll never return here, beyond all that, they are WAY overpriced, have too many employees who don't really know what you're talking about half the time. So I guess it's more akin to a cult than a hardware store. You better be " one of them" dressed correctly, have enough money to pay twice as much for the same item, and enjoy bumping into another red dressed clown around every corner. Forget that I'd rather spend my hard earned cash where they truly value customers, and don't act like a## holes.

The people who work here are incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. I took my longboard in to get a bolt that was missing on my trucks and ended up basically getting a full service on it. They lubed my bearings, tightened everything that was loose and directed me to a couple of other unrelated items I needed. These people were so kind to me!

The Go-To Hardware Store With Heart and Expertise. There's a certain charm and warmth that permeates True Value Hardware Store in Prescott, and it's consistently been my top choice whenever I'm in town. In an era where big-box chains are prevalent, True Value stands out as a beacon of local business, providing not just quality products but also exceptional customer service that is both personal and professional.Every staff member at True Value is not just an employee but a well of knowledge and experience. They aren't just people who work in a hardware store, they are individuals with backgrounds in their respective fields. This means that their insights aren't generic - they are specific, relevant, and incredibly useful, especially when you're embarking on a DIY home project and need that expert advice. It's not just about hammers and nails here. One of my favorite aspects of True Value is the delightful selection of knickknacks and tchotchkes you inevitably discover along your shopping journey. It's these unexpected treasures that add a delightful twist to your shopping experience, ensuring each visit is unique.Location-wise, True Value is a dream. Nestled in the heart of Prescott, it's far more accessible than trekking across town to the big-box hardware stores. But even if it weren't, I'd still make the journey. The commitment True Value shows in supporting locals and the community is a philosophy I deeply respect and am more than happy to support. If you're looking to not just buy a product but also invest in your community, I'd recommend True Value Hardware Store without hesitation. It's more than a store; it's a testament to the strength, expertise, and charm of local businesses

Horrible selection of hardware. This place is 90% department store and 10% hardware. You are way better making the little jaunt to a real one! Save yourself a headache and just skip this place.

Favorite hardware store in Prescott. They don't have everything, but almost. BEST part, the floor staff are outstanding. Their product knowledge & customer is what brings me back every time. They got what you need and it saves a drive to Lowes.
