Quality from the first phone call to the last day of the project. Working with the team at Ability was fantastic. Phil brought a measure rd approach to getting the job done and Mike made sure every step of the process was taken care of. All around this team is top notch.

I am writing this negative review because I spent $34,000 + on a remodel of my guest bath. I always like to shop local and so I choose Ability Remodeling of Prescott, Arizona. The project started in August of 2021 and was completed June of 2022. I understand the delays, the problem is in not only the lack of honest communication, but the out right lying by Phil Stephens. I do not want any other individual to have to go through this process. For the amount of money I spent, I expected more honesty and consideration. Here are a few of the problems I ran into.• Lied about ordering of cabinet. Told by email from Ability that the cabinet was approved, ordered and verified in early October 2021. Upon calling cabinet company I was told that the cabinet was not ordered until early January 2022. I received the cabinet in early June 2022.• Had a dry waller from the company come and he made a terrible mess. I complained and Phil Stephens, a co-owner, did not appoligize and did nothing but defend the dry waller. Another employee of Ability came over to clean up the mess on his own time.• I wanted gold trim on my shower door, Phil told me the company had that and it would not be a problem. Upon talking to the company, I learned that they don’t carry gold for my shower door.These may seem trivial, but lying to a customer seems like a bad business practice.Service: Bathroom remodeling

We used Ability to do some remodeling in a second home that we had just bought in Prescott, Az.We wanted a major remodel of our Master Bath, and the addition of an additional full bathroom, along with a significant amount of painting. The folks at Ability sat down with us to discuss the plan, process and pricing in detail. They arranged for us to monitor daily progress through pictures on a very useful app., which was awesome since we live in Virginia.They were extremely helpful, courteous, and reliable. The quality of work was first class. They had our home professionally cleaned after completion of the job.We were more than satisfied with the results, and our dealings with everyone at Ability.I can’t recommend them highly enough.If I need additional work at my home in Prescott, I will only consider using Ability.Service: Remodelling

If only Ability Remodeling were located in the Valley!!!! Prescott & surrounding areas don't know this gem of a company is located in their vicinity! I would call them to renovate our home again should the need arise. The leadership & management of this company definitely starts from the top & infuses down to the Ability Crew! They are EXCELLENT with attention to details & will go over & above to ensure the work is done right! They communicate very well: phone, text, email, buildertrend.com, and my favorite, IN PERSON! They knew we were on a budget, so they would explain issues to us, inform us of pros&cons, give us possible alternates, & assist us in our decision so that our Family Cabin reaches the goal of "Sealing the Envelope". Mike Daniel, Phil Stevens, Jerry Thompson, Mike D Jr, Rob, Justin & the rest of the Crew (and the Deck Crew which Ability contracted to) are outstanding, trustworthy, & accountable - indeed a rare find in the industry.THANK YOU SO MUCH for "Sealing the Envelope" of our Family Cabin & producing QUALITY outcomes that will last a VERY LONG TIME!Services: Floor fitting

Contacted them about a home project and was told someone would call me by days end of the next day. That was a week ago! Still haven't heard back from them. I could call them again but I'm not going to go after them and beg them to do my project. It's obvious that they are not interested in my project but they could at least tell me that. This lack of communication is reason enough not to have them work for me, ever. How about you?

I have had the pleasure of building a relationship with Ability over the last several years both personally, having utilized their services on my own home, and professionally, as having been able to work with them as a real estate photographer (and seen many of their projects first-hand). I can't give enough praise to Mike, Phil, Michael, and the entire crew, who work tirelessly to ensure that the job is done to the highest standards. I honestly believe that to fall back onto their exemplary professionalism, communication skills, and the personal relationships that they strive to maintain with each individual client. There is a reason they are highly-regarded in the community as a business and as individuals! I wouldn't recommend any other contractor... even in the rare chance they haven't been able to help me with a project, I give them a call and they always point me in the right direction to trustworthy help. If you're looking for a home contractor, you won't find a better one in Prescott!
