There's a reason this place has so many good reviews. Maria and Sam were super friendly and helpful. I always dread tax season but they took the stress and worry out of it and things were SOOOO much easier than I had expected. I'm out in the West Valley and I gotta say the drive was more than worth it!

10 stars X 5 still isn't enough stars for XL Tax Service. Ralph far exceeded my expectations. He enlightened me to deductions I had no idea were there. Ralph is very thoughtful, thorough, explained everything very clearly and step by step. Maria, receptionist, was very friendly, professional, kind, and communicated clearly, thoroughly and well with me. You have a very pleased customer for life.

Kind of sucks that they won't do any appointments for the current month so if you want to make appointments, it'll have to be a month out at least. At least they are open on Sundays. Unfortunately, you have to fill out some tax questionnaire when doing your taxes here; something I've never had to do at other places. The first part of doing your taxes here is working with the trainees. I get that people need to start somewhere but I got real nervous doing my taxes here when the person serving me didn't know how to properly type and she had no idea how to spell "recruiter." I think they need to find more competent people who can at least spell simple words and know how to type on a keyboard. My worries all changed once I dealt with the actual tax preparer named Ralph. The first thing he did was to double check the trainee's work and sure enough, that trainee made errors. Ralph was a gregarious individual who explained the tax process in a simple way. He is one of the rare people that went out of his way to see if he can lower my taxes for me. Although he tried, my taxes were not lowered but I appreciated the thought and effort he put into it. Overall, I think my experience would've been perfect if all I had to deal with was Ralph himself. The cost to do taxes here is $135 for a single w-2 and the whole session took 1 hour and 18 minutes. (It costs $200+ at two other places I've been to)
