I really like shopping in T. J. Maxx stores in every country I visit, the prices are known to be good. This time the store was full of clothes thrown on the floor, the sales people impatiently, and when I arrived with a loaded cart at the checkout, I was horrified to see the line at the checkout, and how slowly the line moved. I simply gave up and left.

Cashiers have no awareness of long lines, and will continue to do unnecessary chitchat with customers. I have worked retail and sales my whole life, and there is a way to have QUALITY interaction, but working swiftly simultaneously. Talking about your cat and not multitasking and ringing up merchandise and bagging it at the same time is an issue. On more than one occasion, I’ve been in line longer than 15 or 20 minutes with three cashiers on duty.
It is a retail golden rule that you at least make eye contact with the people in line, so they are aware that you are aware of their presence, and will attempt to work a little more quickly.

My wife loves to shop at t.j Maxx, and whenever we eat out at a restaurant, she always makes a stop there on the way back home.

Mom loves this place, I dropped her off with her care aide. As always, great prices for someone on a limited income!

Little disappointed...clothes sizes seem to run smaller than expected. Small bath accessories area and ladies purse selection was low on stock. May have just timed shopping wrong.

Well I ran in to the store in workout clothes, stood at the jewelry counter 2 minutes with the sales lady( long gray hair) 8 feet away from me. I was never acknowledged. Then she perked up and asked if she could show the gal that just walked up( draped in gold bracelets) anything. I left the 2 pair of sterling earrings behind because of this treatment. It is NOT the first time at this location either. TJMaxx...you can do better.

I came into this store looking at the rolling carts and I saw a white one which is what I was looking for and it had a red tag with $0.00. So I went to the cash register and they called the manager. I told him I wanted it and it was not my fault someone put it out there by accident. Manager Pedro said it was not for sale and he won’t sell it. I call that “bad customer service”. If you put something on the floor and it has a red tag, then any customer could come and buy it. So I gave this store one star because of the manager Pedro, who was not very nice and not willing to put customer first.
