One of my favorite places to go and a true treasure for Phoenix Arizona. Immensely talented performers! The new venue at the Cutler Plotkin Jewish Center is beautiful with great acoustics. Plenty of free parking available. Can't wait until the Roosevelt location is renovated. If you haven't been you're missing amazing Jazz instrumental and Vocal performers.

The little Jazz Club that jams! We were lucky to make it to a spectacular showcase of Dennis Rowland & his mentees from Scottsdale Community College. Every semester, the class culminates in a concert held here. We were truly wowed by the variety of singers - all different ages & styles. The concert started st 7:30 & when we took off at 10 pm, it was still going strong. We experienced such a positive vibe there, per the usual! I sat next to a chick I'd never met before & we just chimed in as backup when one student sang Sinatra's "That's Life." Because we were FEELIN' IT!
The band itself was outstanding - they consistently jammed for more than four hours. The pianist?! Epic. Dennis hung out on the sidelines, supporting his students, as he's done for a decade+
The bar served a very small glass of house Zin for $9. Normally, I would not be cool w/ that. BUT...The Nash is in the middle of a capital campaign to renovate the club, so if upcharging for drinks can help fund the reno, I am more than happy to pay for extra. They have photos up of how the club will be upgraded & it looks pretty grand! We're excited for the makeover.
As far as parking: it was disappointing that street parking meters on the west side were covered - meaning not usable. No idea why City of Phx did that, but they're where we usually park for $3-$5.
Instead we parked in Carly's parking lot w/ the app & it was THIRTEEN DAMN DOLLARS. AYKM?! That's bananas. I'd say get there earlier to find street parking that may require hoofing it a little.
Overall, we had a terrific Tuesday night!

Great venue for a great show! Highly recommend if you love jazz. Only downside is the lack of cocktails or liquor at the bar. The snacks are also blah.

The food is not the draw, but it's perfect for what this venue is working towards. The service, provided by kind and thoughtful people, was perfect. The atmosphere is perfect. We had a wonderful time.

Historically, I am a classic rock, blues, some folk and select alternative kind of guy when it comes to music. I found the Nash a few years back and attended a show. I keep going back. I'm drawn to the venue. The degree of talent and skill of the musicians presented there are world class. The atmosphere is intimate and classy. The audience is as diverse as it gets. What's more, is what they do at the school there, for students and the future of jazz is commendable. If you have not attended a show there, do yourself a favor and check it out. Maybe, I'll see you there.

This was my first time at this intimate Jazz venue located on the corner of Roosevelt and 1st Street in the heart of downtown Phoenix with mostly volunteer staff. They had great reviews and I really wanted to love the show but I just couldn't and didn't. We were pretty underwhelmed and found ourselves yawning and ended up leaving early. I think it is a nice venue if you're a huge jazz fan as evidenced by all the positive reviews. It just wasn't for me unfortunately.

Small, intimate jazz club. Talented ensembles. Never disappointed. They don't serve food and have a limited bar.

It's less club and more jazz. Ranging from the elite player to high school players, often at the same time. It's about the music and musicianship. It's a little less oriented on cocktails and beer.

It’s hot in Phoenix, especially the Jazz. Tuesday night’s HOLT/GIBSON/NASH ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️top notch rhythm section and their saxophonist soar to ever higher heights. Then follow with Clark Gibson as he leads a jam seesion guaranteed restore faith in the next generation. We are good!
