I am currently in the shelter as we speak and I make it kicked out for saying this there is one particular lady that I believe that does not like my family she took away our food trays for 7 days for my kids the reason why is because we were late well we got a letter in the mouse stating that we would not have to worry about being late that our trees would be left on our counter also another staff did tell me that too now my kids have to go without food for 7 days they also do head count which is good because it shows that everybody is in the room it almost feels like you're either in a rehab or on probation it's kind of crazy how they make you feel I asked for donations for my child the ladies respond was the place is too messy to go up there and look around for your kids also I told her I family members her response was that cannot be an excuse to miss your lunch I don't understand what that means I just know that my children are without males and that is not fair I wouldn't recommend this place at all I am a clean and silver person a family of seven my family from age 6 down of children they are loud course I wasn't even allowed to do laundry for about 2 weeks I recommend that the highest board would read my message and realize that there are evil people around here that don't care about children or about anything and it is not fair for the innocent children especially when you thought you were in the clear after all those days is stressing and calling to let them know that I will be a little late and that my family will eat the food please we need the food why are you guys taking away my babies food that is not okay not only that but when a family member passes away people do gathering they review the body not only to do but our van got told from their company the next day of us even being there we did not owe nothing on it my family was living in it for 3 months..... that next day a family member had died we had to walk to 19th Ave and Van Buren that is crazy my husband got put in a wheelchair for about 4 days because my husband is about to have surgery on his foot we went homeless due to our work slowing down with no hours it is a struggle but then again I would rather live in my van than live in this place and make you feel like you're in trouble

I can't thank this organization enough for what they did for me & my husband! Yesterday, my past due electric bill was paid, in full! My husband had an on job work injury last month & broke his calcaneus bone (weight support bone) in his foot, along with breaking his wrist. He just went through corrective surgery & will not be working for the next few months. I've also taken time off work for my own illness & to help him through his injury & surgery. We were struggling financially, to say the least & fell behind on some of our bills, including the electric. Kendra, the lady that worked with us, was so pleasant & made the entire process simple, along with making us feel valued as individuals that were worth helping. This organization helps so many people & families; today, they helped mine! Thank you so much; we have power because of you!! I don't know what we would have done, without this help! May God keep & bless you all! Kendra- thank you for your assistance, as well as your courtesy & compassion! I absolutely recommend to anyone that needs temporary assistance on utilities. If your bills exceed your current income, Salvation Army can help! ?

I love what they have been doing in Phoenix with the free holiday dinners. 1) They should consider copying the model of the H-E-B Feast of Sharing in Texas in regards to the nuts/bolts of running the meal. H-E-B is a national model on how to do it. 2) Salvation Army needs to open a homeless shelter in Phoenix, and preferably the East Valley (Tempe/Mesa). They have one in Tucson. A Phoenix facility need not be massive but there is a huge need to house the homeless especially in Tempe/Mesa/Chandler.

When i went to get a food box it was thrown at me and there was only cookies and bread in it i will not go back there ever.... FYI the money donated to them does not go to helping it goes in their pockets
