Expired yogurt and cherry tomatoes. Did an online order (health issues not to be around others) the 2 yogurts code dated on May 26, 2024 and the tomatoes 5-20-2024! Of course I didn't check my my tomatoes until that afternoon so you cannot get a refund once you did one on a different product in the same order.
Really was disappointed I've shopped that store for years (like when it was an Albertsons and Safeway was across the street)
Family got me what I needed.
I'll be shopping Albertsons on Cave creek which it the store I usually use but they were out of some items.

My husband and I just recently went into the Safeway store on Greenway and Tatum. It was extremely clean, very well stocked, and had plenty of employees. We were very impressed with the store and how it was managed. Good job!

I've been shopping at this safeway for about 3 to 4 months and I've gotten food poisoning at least half a dozen times, maybe more. I am fairly certain its an issue with food handling safety. I get sick to the point of vomitting and other things after eating things from their deli area within the past couple months and now most recently a rotisserie chicken or chicken salad from their deli. My issues are not from other sources because I don't eat out I buy groceries, only from here. Also have had issues with frozen food that looked previously thawed being put on their shelves and sold. Only going to buy like bottled water from this store after this most recent bout of food poisoning which I pray to God isn't salmonella from people not knowing how to replace gloves after handling raw chicken or cleaning up after raw chicken. This has been the worst case of it so far.

The Store Director Johnny is a miserable man. Store Directors like him are why the turnover rate is high. I witnessed him being disrespectful to the staff(Cashier) and rude to the customer who the cashier needed help with.

Not one lane open. Not one courtesy clerk to be found. I had to check out a basket full of groceries on a small self checkout register. Not enough room to bag my groceries. I had to put them on the floor. With customer service like this I’ll just shop at Walmart in the future.

If they aren't going to operate but 2 cash registers they need to put in more self checkout stations. Staff is not motivated.

Always seem to be out of advertised items. I still find it difficult to match coupons and sale items. The help is nice but I usually leave with just half my list fulfilled.

Tried to do online pickup multiple times and they always claim things are out of stock and either won’t substitute it at all, or they pick an item that is not a good substitute (they ignore my substitute options) so that you end up not approving it. But when you go inside, it’s right there. Might as well do it myself, since I’ll just have to go inside to get the missing items anyway. Don’t have this issue of bad shoppers at Target, guess I’ll be switching from now on.
