It's a bummer that this is the only pet store close to me. The store constantly looks like it's under construction with pallets of product in the isles. But the worst part is how crazy slow they are. There's literally 3 employees helping an employee check out (who was apparently on the clock) while one slow as molasses guy is checking people out. I asked if he can have someone else come help at the register and he said everyone is busy right now lol.

I had an appt scheduled on 4/30/23 for a second dose of shots at 12:30pm that was scheduled by their staff with the first set. When we arrived they refused to see us because the appt didn’t appear on their system. They wouldn’t even do it as a walk in even after it was their mistake. The staff said there was a computer glitch and they were double booked and understaffed. That’s every business in Arizona and most will still honor their services when it was caused by their staff. Horrible customer service.

Brought my dog to get a new toy before we went to the dog park. The store was a bit messy so we quickly picked one out and waited in line to pay for our items. As I'm about to pay one of the coworker's tells me I need to go pick up my dog's pee. I assured him the pee was there before we arrived and I had to pull my dog away from smelling it. The coworker insisted it was my dog since he passed by and didn't see it before. I told him once more it wasn't my dog. I don't have an issue cleaning up after my dog but it's very insulting to accuse customers to clean a mess they didn't make. The guy at the register advised me that this shouldn't happen and it's actually their job to clean it up. Regardless, this experience has made me feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and discriminated (as there were other customer's with their dogs).

Took my dogs in for nails trims and took the receipt to the register and was charged for only 1 nail trim but 3 material fees. I didn't notice as the cashier didn't tell me my total and I used apple pay. The groomer checked my receipt because she said the new people are ringing things up wrong, she found the error. We went to the register to fix it and the cashier didn't understand what she did wrong ( I worked at Petco before...its not rocket science scanning barcodes) anyways the groomer called the manager over to help because she had other dogs to get to ( but stayed at the register the entire time even after the manager came over) . They tried to explain to the cashier what she did wrong and how to process a refund and the whole interaction between everyone was chaotic!! I asked them to just charge me for the service I didn't pay for the first time. That was obviously too complicated as the manager tried to argue with me and say he cant change grooming prices. Who asked you to is the question? I said just charge me the $20 she initially was supposed to. He then tried to explain it to me again that I was overcharged $1. Idc about the $1 refund. Why are you arguing with me over a $1 bro????? He had an attitude but maybe he should spend more of his energy on training employees properly instead of arguing with someone over a $1 I been said you can keep! Im sure there will be other transactions today that will make your registers short so youre welcome for the dollar.

Ive seen really good reviews from this petco compared to others and i was excited for me and my dog to have a well experience although i was beyond disappointed. I had an appointment for my dog at the groomers and the lady who was going to attend us automatically said, "absolutely not". All because my dog barked at her once. Of course he was going to bark, it's a defense mechanism. Just because my dog barked and was shaking she stated my dog has "an aggressive attitude" and knows he will bite her. Lady didn't even try to calm him or make him feel safe. I understand about your safety but it's also when doctors have a fussy child they are working with, they don't just decline them. No, they work with the child and the parent. Of course, I'll take my service else where, where they make my dog and i feel welcomed and safe.

Crazy story time! My family and I were on the way to the water park when we almost hit a kitten in the middle of the road. I told my boyfriend to pull over and I went into a bush to grab this little guy. We went to our nearest petco to grab the essentials. We ended up spending two hours at this petco because the wonderful manager named Chris was helping us get our new little buddy into the vet. He spent two hours walking us around the store finding the perfect product for our little guy. Then went out of his way to call a bunch of locations to get us into a vet today. We cannot thank him enough for his candor!!

The staff is always helpful and have given me great recommendations on products for my new pet. My Luna loves to browse and she is allowed to pick a special toy each time we shop.

STEPHANIE....... I loved this place at the end not because the store but because the type of person that she is. I was paying all my stuff at 7:55 pm while other workers are rushing to go home she decided to take her time, explained me how my vital plan works and benefits I get even when it was pass 8:00 pm she waited until my app opened... not even rushing... thanks to her I ended understanding more about my apps and where my money goes.. without counting that she has a freaking awesome personality.. you MIGHT NOT LIKE THE STORE CUZ I NOTICES doesn't have a good reviews but if you have any questions anything!!! Ask for Stephanie .... man if one of the managers of this store can read this give this girl the chance to become a manager or higher position, if you want your bussines or this store to success she is the person that will make it.... thanks STEPHANIE ILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO COME BAXK AGAIN TO THIS STORE

Would give more than 5 stars if I could thanks to TAYLOR'S exceptional service. We had just adopted our first puppy and had ALOT of questions, she did not rush us, and was extremely patient with us as first time puppy parents. Taylor made sure to walk us through all our options, and answered every question we had thoroughly and really gave us a lot of good information that we would have not thought about!! She knows pets!! Will be a loyal customer to this store thanks to our amazing experience with Taylor!!
