They advertise a lot, but reality the worse company so far I saw for these type of srvices. They asked customers to do a lot of process because they do not have enough employee or write system. I have GSS card over 12 years with other, never have a problem, last 6 months I have a card with them, just waste my time for each transaction and sometimes the card declined front other people and tellers. Now, I pay from my pocket as I shame to tell them I have Paychex FSA

They locked me out of my account. Then they gave me a number to call, and that ends up with you being hung up on. Then they want you to talk to someone named "kiranmai" yes he or she didn't even capitalize it, and this person used the auto response system, that said they were not asking any confidential questions, then asked for my ssn dob email and full name.. ?I'd say this person was rude, and the company clearly sucks not being able to talk to a person on the phone.

Paychex's customer service representatives are polite but are not responsive or knowledgeable!!! I have been using them for years and they honestly suck and the hassle of dealing with the communication is terrible. Nobody reads emails and the specialists are out of office almost daily. They have over-drafted my account more than once. They ran payroll 2x in one day this week again and now my account as received fees and the specialist still can't get it right to return the correct full amount. I am so over this company. Do not use.

Horrible in every way. We used this payroll company for one year and have spent more than 2 years trying to clean up messes with the state and workers comp.

They keep renewing our medical policies with some old excel spreadsheet not formatted correctly. They're giving employees the wrong birthdays. This messes with everything like our prescriptions, medical visits, and procedures. They made everyone's birthday 1/1/?? I'm upset because I spent hours and weeks waiting for corrections. I spent hours on the phone with blue shield and hours with my medical group. I've been waiting 10 days for my cancer screening appointments! You keep doing this to all or some of us year after year. Whatever your problem is you need to fix it.

Had a major problem but sales rep is fixing it immediately. They go from one star to four based on his response time, but beware the fine print of what plan you are signing up for.

Hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! Every employee you speak to has a lack of understanding of how their system works and an inability to be helpful or resourceful. I highly suggest if your company is considering to use this company that you take a second look at other available payroll systems as Paychecks is decades behind everyone else!

I strongly recommend staying away from their 401k program. It was $1500 just to transfer the account for my employees and we only had $10k in the whole account!

This company will call you in a split second if they think you owe them money, but recently, they took money from my account without permission or reason and now i have not run payroll for two weeks because i am waiting for them to pay it back. no one will call me. I have left messages for supervisors, etc. Not a single person will respond. Do not go with this company

Do not use this company for your retirement needs. We have had the worst experience with our 401K plan set-up. Our account was set up wrong from the beginning and trying to correct it has been a nightmare. WE WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO YOU! not for 401K retirement services. That team is sincerely unexperienced and unprofessional. Moving to a better company with our plan.

ONE STAR IS A STRETCH, THEY DESERVE NEGATIVE STARS. Paychex is a complete SCAM!!!!!! It seems like a great set up when you're considering using them, but in reality they do not disclose any charges you will inquire, or even tell you the ins and outs of the process... I clearly should have looked at their reviews before hiring. Now here we are, a month left of the year, and need to find a new payroll company :(

Horrendous experience dealing with paychex as they managed my cobra payments. I was overcharged by them while having inactive insurance for months! Now I am still waiting on a check for what I overpaid. I would never recommend using this service for payroll. Other companies I've worked for have used ADP and it is a much better system for the employee.***Update: Paychex reached out to me shortly after leaving this review. I sent an email to the one they provided and received a prompt response and solution to the issue. I received a check in the mail for the overpayment. They have continued to call and check in that everything was resolved since then which I appreciate. They took my complaint seriously and were quick to get it resolved. Thank you.

Such a horrible experience with Paychex.For starters we were made to believe Paychex was very 1099 friendly. FALSE! You can run a basic payroll for 1099 but everything else is an extra cost. We started the integration process in April 2022 and never fully finished. It's August 2022. Come to find out our account was not set up correctly from day 1. We would have never known this if we did not call and email relentlessly about not having certain access. The response we always received was "Weird.. I don't know whats wrong or how to fix it. Sorry!" Our account manager was nonexistent. It took a week to get a response if he ever bothered to respond at all. With the rest of the Paychex team there was little to no communication and 0 urgency to help. Not to mention the horrible platform... Looks like it was made in the 90's! So clunky, not user friendly, and barely worked.Don't walk, RUN away from this company! Especially if you are a small business.

Single handed one of the worst companies to exist!! DO NOT ever consider ever servicing with them. They have STOLEN money from us for years and continue to. One of their employees forged our signature to agree to a service we did not approve of. Getting our refund back has been a nightmare we have no choice but to get in contact with lawyers to see if they return our money. seriously the worst ever.

Worst experience ever, terrible customer service!!They are very nice to you at the beginning just to get your business, after you sign, they transfer you to a different person every time you want to do your payroll, they overcharged you and you can never find a manager. I have canceled my account twice and they keep on charging me biweekly fees, they promised to stop doing it and that they will refund my money and nothing ???Now, I just got a letter saying that they never paid my employees taxes. Laza Bogdan hasLied to us about the prices and about a refund that we never got. Stay away from this company.
