My sister was here for several years, maybe ? I have mixed feelings.. they don't answer the phones they don't return calls you can't talk to anybody when you go over there it's next to impossible to get anything done they are very unprofessional the cleaning lady was verbally abusive to my sister. My sister had a bariatrics wheelchair ,then she qualified for an electric chair. She needed her wheelchair to transfer easier in her room because She kept falling and to take her out with family.
I planned a surprise birthday family gathering for her on a weekend I went to go pick her up and they had given her wheelchair to another client that they said needed it she could not go to her own birthday party. So I had them order her a new wheelchair a bariatric wheelchair. When I went to ask for her brand new wheelchair they had given her new wheelchair to another client also and have not replaced it they said they were going to look for one in a closet a used old one to give her she had a brand new one and it was given to another client she has to wait 3 years to get a new wheelchair and nobody has called me back for this. I think The Weeknd stop and the night staff do whatever they want

This has been an ongoing experience…not just a one or two time deal. They rarely answer the phone. Almost impossible to stay in touch with your relatives. No phones in the rooms and no one answering the main line. When I’ve stopped by, the front desk was abandoned and you could just wander in. Who or what else wanders into this facility? No one asked or said anything to you…just help yourself. The facility is dirty, smells terrible, and is poorly maintained. Don’t let the website trick you. This is NOT where you want a loved one to reside

Ever since I've came to Olive Grove to live 2 years ago. My life has changed. I've been a lot of good staff here and I think this new stuff that they brought in is doing a real good job. The new lady her name is crystal the lady that's our executive director's name is esperanza. The maintenance people do good but they're still behind on a cleaning staff but they're trying their best to help us so if anybody would like to. Come here to live man you're the greatest we got music. We got bingo we got all kinds of fun games to play with our people here and fun people. And I hope God-bless you all and thank you very much.

I'm a phlebotomist and I was there drawing blood on a blind resident and the whole time doing that there were cockroaches in her room, I did let the front desk person know .

The non-existent administration (as of this writing, there is no actual head nurse or administrative leader on staff whatsoever) and complete lack of respect shown by the management here is inhumane and abysmal. Residents are treated as if anything they ask for is a huge inconvenience, as the facility is grossly understaffed. Any type of assistance that takes more than 90 seconds to complete is seen as a "special situation" and requires negotiating with staff to complete. Staff is trained to say "I don't have time for that" to simple requests like warming up a can of soup, getting a resident a cup of coffee, etc. Overnight staff is limited to TWO caregivers for a facility with 110+ residents. Wait times for an answer to a call button often in excess of 2 hours. Caregivers in general are nice people and problems here are not their fault. Management are completely incapable of addressing needs ot residents in any real way. This is a facility for human warehousing. "Do the absolute least possible while staying within the law" seems to be the M.O. from management. Impossible to retain staff because pay is so low and stress level so high. Bottom line of money is the only motivation for anyone here. They tried to forcibly move my mom to a new facility without any kind of notice given to her or her family, all because she was a "fall risk." Instead of addressing problems with her mobility or trying to find solutions like physical therapy, coordinating with health care providers for wheelchair access etc, they just decided they would move her to and then had the audacity to lie to me about it to my face. The residents here are people with lives and families and feelings, but to the staff they are nothing but a source of income. The directors are liars, the corporate conglomerate that owns the facility is completely unreachable. Sadly, these horrible behaviors are norms in this industry, and this facility is just another shining example of the endemic problems within the healthcare industry. Positive reviews here are from administration and case workers from health insurance companies. It's all distasteful and sickening enough to make you want to throw up. To Betty, the "Wellness Director" (the irony...) I hope you know the pain you have caused to residents and their families through your sheer lack of compassion, humanity, or ability to communicate. 1 star for the staff, Emmy, Alex, Rosa, and more. All kind people who are stuck in a job run by cynical misanthropes.

I would not recommend this place. Some staff can be really nice and caring. But that disappears after a in short time here. They are on a schedule to change diapers. One morning I came in as I did every morning. I found mom on the floor with nothing on but a dirty diaper. She had an open wound to her hand. My family and I regret bringing mom here. So don't make that mistake. They have bugs that they can't seem to get rid of.ask for rules and regulations before placing your family member here. And if you smoke you have to go out to your vehicle. We placed mom here because it was convenient for me to walk here if needed to be. My sister and i are very dissatisfied with roach infested place.

Nice place for the older generation to call home. I was here to check out one of the condos for sale. Met a lady who has lived here for over 20 years and she showed me her place and told me there are things you can do to decorate your condo. I don't think I'll be buying from here but it is very nice.

My brother lived in three different Assisted Living facilities during the past four years--Olive Grove was the last, and by far the best. He needed a high level of assistance, and the care and compassion shown by the staff at Olive Grove were a great comfort to me and the rest of his family. He was treated with far more respect and empathy at Olive Grove than he was at the other places. Jeanette and Betty were particularly helpful in making sure his needs were met and his values respected. The individual caregivers treated him like he was family. I will be forever grateful to them. While the physical facilities aren't the fanciest, the level of care was head and shoulders better than the others. I highly recommend Olive Grove as a loving home for people in need of assistance.

As long as Janette Ellison is executive director Olive Grove will continue to be a death sentence for residents. She doesn't care about the residents all she cares about is the bonuses she gets for having a full census, for three years now I've been complaining about the serious infestation of bed bugs my roommate fell one day and split his Head open, I rushed down to her office and started yelling he's on the floor bleeding and I was outside her office and she's in there as always just sitting at her desk and she comes out and says what is it Alex I'm very busy, it took her no lie about 10minutes before she started making her way up to the third floor. The staff members well some of them like to steal and even after showing her proof she reaptly ignores complaints because then she would have to deal with it, and as it is no one wants to work here so it's in her Best interest to turn a blind eye. residents are left waiting for assistance for hours what is someone was having a heart attack or a stroke or on the floor. And they know that when certain residents call for help they should immediately get there but they don't. So please if you're thinking about sending one of your loved ones there I strongly urge you to think about it!!!

The Olive Grove Retirement/Assisted Living home is just a wonderful place for individuals. The wonderful staff can be assured to happily assist in any way needed as they are all very kind & caring. There are various entertainment options, laundry & food service. Some health issues can be addressed & managed by the professional staff members. There is also a Memory Unit on site separate from the other apartments.Location of the facility is nice as there are multiple stores & eating places very near.Overall, the Olive Grove is a very caring, comfortable home.
