So I’ve gone to this church for about 3 months now. I was introduced to it by a coworker. I liked the music as well as well as the work given my Steve. Amazing.
Then Brian takes the stage. CRINGE, and I mean the point where we shake our heads. He has a way of talking about society so much with “ statistics “ and no sources to back them up. Always talks numbers. I happen to invite a friend with me for the first time, and Brian spoke about the church needing to catch up 80k for the current year, and that “ the money is in your pockets” we looked at each other and I apologized to my friend about this. Today , he did the exact same thing! He spoke about how the church gives back to children and it cost them $8.50 each, and then speaks about how the churches ac bill was 4 thousand dollars, next slide was a QR code asking for money. It was EMBARRASSING because I brought yet another friend for the first time and this message was horrible! The church doesn’t have to hear this type of personal business. We know we can give what we have when we can. As of today, sadly i won’t be back and won’t recommend this location again.

My church home. Started attending here in 2018 and it has only gotten better. I was gone for a time when I had moved and when I returned it was better than ever before.

Today was my first (and last) time attending New City Church. The worship was wonderful, but the sermon was odd. At one point, Pastor Brian preached the word of Jordan Peterson (a non believer), and prayed on Elon Musk and Joe Rogan to come to Jesus. He then ranted about the COVID vaccine, and Anthony Fauci. If you prefer your teaching of the word of God to be intertwined with weird right wing ideology, this is the church for you. If you're like me, new to the valley and seeking a welcoming and inclusive place to worship Him, then maybe look elsewhere.

Thanks to the pastoral department and the whole team. Personally l appreciate the service and the sound doctrine from his sermons preached. All the time l fellowship with this church and this is my third year.
Sometimes I don't attend church activities and even church services. But the man of God always encourages me through my e.mail.
Thanks once again.

This church is a joke we went there for rental assistance put everything they asked us to do before the rental request in and it took him a month and a half to get back with us to tell us no they are not definitely there to help the community

I hope the following will give the reader a taste of New City. My wife and I have attended for nearly 9 years. The sermons are Jesus centered, and the mission is Jesus oriented. They don’t pass around a collection plate, and are clear and open about the allocation of alms. They do offer communion every service for those who identify as followers of Christ. There are opportunities to connect with others through service and ministry. The lead pastor steps back regularly for the associate pastors, ministry leaders, and guests to preach on Sundays. Coffee and water is available each service which is a nice treat. The church is not a mega church, you are welcome to meet the clergy and pray with em. My favorite thing about this church are the traditions: celebrating the Lord’s last supper, the Daniel Fast, and Easter Sunday, amongst other ways we gather to get to know Jesus more. If I had any negative sounding feedback, it would be that I think the worship music is too loud — I think a toned down set would raise the sound of the worship itself. My wife disagrees with me, for what it’s worth; she’s loves a concert feel.I’m grateful for New City and pray God to continually grow it as a light pointing to the love of Jesus.

Pastor Brian said, straight up, that BLM was a terrorist organization. Referenced his black friend as credibility for opinions on race. Talked about staying at the 4 Seasons and being a lawyer more than serving the community and Jesus. This was a few years ago; we left mid-sermon. I’ll never forget it. Good luck with that guy.

The preaching here seems negative, legalistic, critical and misrepresents God. "The greatest honor we can give almighty God is to live gladly because of the knowledge of his love.” –Julian of Norwich, Revelations of Divine Love. See Mike Popovich from Freedom Ministries and Mike Williams from Gospel Revolution about the message of freedom in Christ and how there is no dualism.
