I absolutely have to write this review of a landmark building constructed in 1963. And recent renovation(being renovated) to condos really makes me wonder. What I know for sure is the HOA is so high(close to $1,000+ per month...yes you've read that correctly), and the reason the building was converted to condos is people wouldn't pay the asking rents for a building that has not been well maintained over the past sixty years! Has the developer made major changes to warrant paying $350,000 for a 750 square foot apartment(with new appliances), I seriously doubt it. Having lived in the Valley of the Sun for more than 36 years, I know this property personally as friends have lived here over the last four decades. (What I remember the floors were drafty, the hallways very narrow, yes there was a commonly known roach issue, the elevators were constantly under disrepair, and now with construction, the water is constantly being turned off). Now onto the good, the floor to 9 ft ceiling windows are what make this Camelback Towers luxury apartment (okay, now condo conversion) well known for. And the location is absolutely perfect for being in the Camelback corridor. I believe the parking is underground, and the pool deck is stunning. Yes the units will sit empty for years, as those who know Phoenix, and the former CT will be wise and pass on a once premier property. (And the association fee is beyond fathomable). The building would be much better served as a college dormitory, than trying to make the 18 story building some high-end condo complex. Hard pass for now.

Water turns off almost every other day, elevators always down, definite cockroach issue as others mentioned, constant construction that starts at 6 am, high HOA fees, old HVAC that always causes issues. This place is a joke, I get emails nearly daily about some part of the building that is down/not working. I live here 25% of my time for work and it’s unliveable. There’s no way I would choose to live here otherwise

Construction is so loud they start as early as 6am. Elevators always broken along with washers and dryers. Parking garage is a nightmare, they only allow 1 car per unit in the garage no exceptions. There is definitely cockroach problem! Every floor has dirty carpets. Don’t move here!!!!!!

Mid century modern design at its finest!! Designed in 1963 by modernist architect Charles Polacek, a contemporary of Al Beadle & Ralph Haver, the 254-unit Landmark Towers (originally known as Camelback Towers) is located in the heart of Uptown Phoenix. along the city's historic central corridor. With stunning views of the Phoenix skyline, the condos at Landmark offer the best of mid-century chic combined with the best of urban living. Originally opened in 1963, the building has been massively renovated to flaunt its architectural highlights. This includes floor to ceiling windows which open onto panoramic balconies. Additionally, there are 2 on-site restaurants (Yama Sushi, Rotten Grapes), a coffee shop, tailor, barber, etc. all on the premises so there's always something exciting happening at the Landmark on Central. Amenities include: 24-hour security/concierge Year-round heated swimming pool Movie theater Gym/Fitness center 2 on-site restaurants and coffee shop Roof-top Lounge with a pool tables, flat-screen TV & outdoor fireplace Clubhouse with a full-service catering kitchen Business center Underground parking (reserved and general) Light rail stop right outside door The historic Landmark Towers is within walking distance to many of Phoenix's hippest restaurants (Postino, Windsor, Persepshen), bars, and just across the street from Uptown Plaza (West Elm, Flower Child, Chula Seafood, etc.). Additionally, it's also a short jaunt into the heart of downtown Phoenix and all of its entertainment venues. If you're looking for a great eclectic mix of modern and vintage mid-century design, in an absolutely terrific location, Landmark Towers is the spot!

I lived in 10-D years ago. Walls so thin could hear the neighbors sneeze. Two elevators, one small, made moving a chore for tenants. Heat and air controlled by the building, I was sweating all the time. My laundry was stollen constantly, had to sit in the laundry room to watch it. Nice views,

Just want to say that what makes this place special is the people. Paul and Ryan are incredibly helpful and responsive. They really go above and beyond to ensure the people here have a good experience. They are great building partners and I’m grateful for their support!!

Great building with new leadership who have made so many positive upgrades with updates still happening. New HOA leadership is listening to owners and renters and the entire building's updates should be completed this year. Only bad thing is good luck trying to find a unit here!
