Valet crew runs like a well-oiled machine, check in/out is super smooth, and room service is hyper-quick. Really great location for Footprint Center events. Well kept and spacious rooms.
A pet-peeve of mine is when high-end hotels like to nickel and dime. Call me old fashioned, but charging $3 a water bottle in a luxury hotel in downtown Phoenix is annoying. Room service is pretty steep, too, but at least the food is decent.
Also, the black films applied to the windows seriously dampen the view. I think it's for the sun blasting in, but doesn't it seem better to just close the shades?
Overall a great stay!

Location was great. Close to Chase Ballpark. VERY short walk. The parking is difficult if you don't valet. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Sad I only had time to SEE the pool. It looked amazing.
Chase Field in the background of the pool picture.
Rooms: Rooms comfortable and each had its own thermostat. Shower was nice. Had all the soaps you need.
Safety: Can't go passed the bar/pool level without a room key.
Walkability: We walked to Chase field. In the middle of restaurants and shops

Best hotel ever! Everything felt upscale and luxurious all for the low price of $145 a night. This is the best hotel in the state for its value, for being luxurious, upscale, and decent. Clean and amazing. 5 stars no doubt.

The location of this hotel is great for attending events at the Footprint Center or Chase Field. Overall it’s clean and upscale.
The rooftop pool area/Eden bar was a huge disappointment. If you want to relax and read a book by the pool, look elsewhere. There is really loud music through the whole area, even as early as 9 am.
The bar service was awful, and we tried multiple times at different times of day. A 17 year old in our group was offered a complimentary daiquiri shot, drink and food orders were not put in the system and had to be comped, etc. We tried to order room service and the girl on the phone was rude and didn’t know the menu.
Walkability: Great location for walking distance to venues/restaurants/shopping.

What started as a last-minute decision turned into one of the most luxurious experiences I've ever had in downtown Phoenix! From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted by a team that truly understands the meaning of hospitality. Despite our very late and impromptu check-in, the staff welcomed us with warmth and attentiveness that made us feel right at home.
The room was spotless, with every detail carefully attended to, and the shower amenities were some of the best I’ve encountered! It's clear that this Kimpton location prides itself on providing top-tier service and comfort.
A special shout-out goes to Donna, the incredible front desk manager, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. After an incredibly hectic night, Donna's charisma, charm, and unparalleled professionalism helped us settle in with ease. Her dedication to her work and genuine care for guests truly sets this hotel apart.
Without a doubt, we will be returning to this Kimpton location, and Donna's exceptional service is one of the many reasons why!

I stayed here with college friends for the weekend. The room was clean, and spacious. The bathrooms were very nice. The rooftop pool and bar were GREAT. The service and staff were also beyond exceptional. Sarah, who we swore never went home and worked 24/7, was absolutely wonderful! We will definitely be staying here if we come to Phoenix again.
Also, it’s right across from the Footprint Center and a short walk to Chase Field. Great location!!

I really wanted to like this hotel. It had good ratings on Trip Advisor and on Google so I thought I'd give it a whirl. A number of amenities listed were not actually available. The website said each room had a yoga mat and a diffuser with choice of oils. My room had neither. The service at the rooftop bar was not great. We had to flag someone down multiple times to try and put in an order. The person I was with wanted to order an IPA and the bartender flatly said "we're out" and walked away. What?? Not even a sorry can I get you something else or recommend something else. Another day I ordered a flatbread for lunch and the server was not attentive. I started feeling symptoms of heat related illness and had to wave down the server so I could pay and leave. On one of my excursions out of the hotel, I guess I wasn't walking fast enough for the valet guy so he cut me off and ran into me trying to get outside. I simple "excuse me" would have gone a long way. But for the good, I did love the location. The view from the room was spectacular and so was the view from the pool. It also is close to good dining and right by a grocery store and pharmacy if you forgot anything. I would probably stay here again and lower my expectations next time.

BEDBUGS!!!! I stayed in room 1010 tenten and there were bedbugs on the bed closest to the door. This would have been a 5 star rating as the location and accommodations are top notch. They have an affiliation with Perry Monge Salon Spa and the EoS gym across the way which are both great.
I showed the housekeeper and let the front desk know about the situation with the bedbugs, but since I used rewards for this stay, they said they couldn't comp anything. They were really nice and understanding about it. The problem with bedbugs is the ordeal you have to go through trying to make sure you don't bring them into your home. IHG sent me an email the day after entitled "Tell Us What You Think...." and I did. To this day I have not received an apology or anything from them. I did however get charged for items from the minibar which I never even opened. I had to call, and they did refund the charge. They explained it was a mistake by their minibar team.
I do have to agree with other reviews that the towels are old and thin. The desk chair was also extremely worn out. Those things wouldn't have bothered me as much if it weren't for the bedbugs.
The rooftop pool was nice and relaxing.

The service at the kimpton palomar is nothing short of amazing. When we asked for a room with a balcony we were told this hotel doesn’t have any but they were happy to provide us with a room with an amazing view of the city and mountains right in the corner of the hotel. The room was clean and the showers were so nice i took about 4 in my one night stay lol. The rooftop pool/bar also has an amazing view.

Parking isn't the best especially when attending events.
