They said I needed a $12,000 engine because 2 rods are bent. I asked if they could replace the rods and they said the rods could be replaced but they weren't set up for it. This place is definitely a ripoff

I am blown away that this shop has such a high rating on google, I can’t be the only customer that almost got completely taken advantage of. Just a personal experience but was told that a vehicle needed a new engine ($12k+) due to an overheating issue. This was after, just the day prior being called and told it only needed a new thermostat ($450). At this point I had a serious “trust issue” and decided to pick up the vehicle and get a second opinion. Brought the vehicle to another shop and after extensive testing, it was determined that the issue was in fact a faulty thermostat and cost $425 +/- to repair. Bottom line, even though this business has a high rating, beware and question any recommendation that seems unreasonable.

We've been taking my 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe here for years. They always treat us so good, fair pricing and had an emergency this week on a Sunday night and they were able to squeeze my car in for repair. I highly recommend this shop.

Brought in my car to get fixed. They worked with my warranty company which was great. The issue is they said the car would be ready on a Tuesday and then at 4:45pm told me it wasn't ready and that it would have to be another day. I understand "car repair" isn't a science, as the guy told me on the phone but you should know it's not a science and not tell me the car would be ready. If they told me that a couple of hours earlier I could have worked out a car situation for the next day. Instead the manager just got on the phone to let me know that it is what it is with no apology and just deal with it. If "car repair" isn't science then maybe you should give yourself a buffer on when you tell your customers that "you" will have the car ready. Ultimately it's about how the manager acted like I was an idiot for expecting my car back when they said the car would be ready.

I do not have any issues with the work performed on the vehicle, just the overall integrity of the shop. I brought in a 2007 Toyota 4Runner for a pre-purchase inspection. I felt it was necessary due to the age and mileage (07, 200k). The inspection was completed, and I paid $89.99 plus tax for the service.Kelly Clark Automotive went over with me in full detail the condition of the vehicle. They stated the car was in good condition and just needed general maintenance, plus a new radiator. However, the seller informed me that Kelly Clark Automotive Specialists had offered to purchase the car for a few dollars more and cut me out of the sale.Luckily, the seller believes in karma and turned down Kelly Clark Automotive Specialists' offer, selling the vehicle to me. This review has nothing to do with the quality of work Kelly Clark Automotive Specialists performs, just the INTERGITY of the shop.Service: Vehicle safety inspection
