Integrated Pathology was contracted through my family’s doctor. My HSA account remitted a payment directly to the address they have on file with Cigna (EOB) and they returned the mail. “RETURN TO SENDER/REFUSED” is literally written on the envelope and with the check that returned to me. I called Integrated Pathology who gave me a number to their billing department. I left a voicemail with their billing department. The phone number didn’t even identify the agency. Called Integrated Pathology again and reached them after-hours. I explicitly asked who is handling their billing and now I have to call again during business hours to find out.Listen, best case here is someone at their office doesn’t value keeping their address current. Maybe they know how to review lab work and they outsource billing. But they do not take any accountability for who they have contracted. We are receiving collection threats/notices over $19.07 and there is no one to get help from. My time is worth more.I am publishing this information in case anyone else has a similar experience. My next step is to make a formal complaint. I’ll make sure Cigna and the provider are fully aware as well. AVOID.
