I was very disappointed with Hertz today, especially considering I used Hertz off-and-on for ten (10) months last year when my car was totalled. I did so much business, one of the employees knew me by name, in addition to the smell of my cologne left in the rental car. I made a reservation online at 4:08pm and took an Uber to Hertz at the cost of $11.49. The store closed at 5pm., so I made it before my reservation time. While there, personnel said they coulldn't honor my reservation because they didn't have any cars available even though the parking lot was nearly full of cars. In addition, I was told I made my res too late. I use to work for Hertz, and rental car companies keep a handful or two of automobiles unassigned for the next beusiness day for people to rent, especially those using their insurance company because its lucrative. After being told I made my reservation too late (laughable), when I asked why Hertz took the reservation to begin with online if they didn't have any cars available, the office personnel couldn't provide an answer. The answer is, they do have cars, but they're saving them for the next business day, which makes no sense considering any reservation for the next business day can, and often does, change. Here I am with credit car in hand at the counter ready to pay for a car - a guarantee sale, and Hertz is more concerned about tomorrow's reservations even though there's no guarantee people will even show up for their reservation? The fact that my reservation was for one day is another reason why they didn't rent to me. So, I had to eat some humble pie and take another Uber home at the cost of $12.11. It cost me $24.00 out-of-pocket to find out I wasn't getting a car at Hertz, even though I had a reservation. Wtf? Never again, will I rent here!! I came from a place where relationships mattered, and people went out of their way to satisfy repeat customers. The business practices in the Phx metro area could care less about relationships. It's all about maximizing profits regardless of any relationship with the business. Sad.

After a day of disaster after travel disaster, we came to this location and needed a vehicle to drive to Michigan. Lindsay was more than accommodating and truly went above and beyond to put us in a vehicle. She was the ray of sunshine on a very cloudy day and we appreciate her so much. The staff was very accommodating, the prices very detailed and outlined, and all questions we had were answered efficiently and effectively. The vehicle was spotless as well. Truly an amazing experience.

Team was patient, kind and helpful. Although both times we were there, they were understaffed, but this didn't seem to stress out the team that was working.

The recording said drop off by 5:30 and the sign says 5:30. I pulled up at a little before 5 and they said they were closed so they're charging me for an extra day and had the audacity to say I was smoking in the car. I don't smoke. It was sand. I'd five 0 stars if I could.

Horrible experience with this location. I arrived an hour before they are supposed to close and the MANAGER Scott. Was already closing the building. He refused to help me as well as another gentleman as were standing in the Arizona sun. The store operation online says 6pm closing. On the building door it says 5:30. Yet they allow you to book a vehicle at there location for a 5:30 pickup when that’s when it says there supposed to close.
Overall awful experience and the Manager was not helpful in any way at all. I honestly don’t understand how he’s in that position or how this location is still in business.

Booked a pickup three days ago and confirmed with live representatives twice between the and today my appointment details and MY PAYMENT METHOD THAT THEY TOOK A FULLY POSTED, PREPAYMENT FOR THE VEHICLE ON. I was turned away today because my card wasn't a credit card, but a debit card instead. They told me id receive my refund in 7-10 business days. They then proceeded to charge me a fee for no show (entire payment amount for entire rental), a $50 fee and a $100 fee since I didn't cancel or modify my reservation more than 24 hours in advance.
This is unacceptable, I'm now without a vehicle and my money and not able to modify my reservation to use my credit card. I'm so happy that somebody vandalized the place, they really deserved it. Walked two miles home in 120 degree weather without water and had to cancel all my doctor appointments and vet appointments and work for the rest of the week.
Enterprise has never done this to me and no other hertz out of state has ever had a problem with me using my debit card. I hope whoever vandalized the place takes it a step further, they really are asking for it.

Scott has always provided excellent service . Highly recommend . Ever since he became manager this store has been a complete turn around and very easy to deal with .

Never again. They didnt honor our premade reservation which forced us to cut our vacation short and rush home. Never will i recommend them nor utilize them.

UPDATE: I contacted Corporate and they looked into it and refunded our money since other people filed the same complaint. Next time I will read the reviews. They also said to never accept a car with smells, issues etc. Always return it and ask for a different car.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS SITE!!!! We just got ripped off for smoking in the car, we don't smoke! When we picked up the car the smell was so bad we had to open the windows to be able to breathe each time we got in. The windows were covered with a smoke film. They charged us $150 for something that was not our fault. DONT RENT HERE!!!

Good luck getting ahold of anyone on the phone. I have been trying to get ahold of them for the last couple of weeks, called at different times with hopes to reach someone, and no one answers. Also a reservation I was about to book for a "Manager special" all of a sudden jumped up to $999 a day, and now back down to $399. I heard stories of this company, but now I believe it. Will never catch me renting from this company!
