Bought a gift certificate for my husband for Christmas...finally got him to agree to go in. Booking his introductory visit appointment was challenging online...tried cancelling one of the services the same dayI booked (and same as service day) - OH wait there's a 50% cancellation fee? WHAT? I called the location and explained my issue - the employee was very nice but said she couldn't do anything without manager's approval...so I'd have to wait for her to come in and make a decision. (I called at 8:30A and she was coming in around 10A). Manager called and left me a message OK we will cancel the service with no fee OH and by the way the employee that is scheduled to do his massage called in...so his massage is cancelled also. I was told to call back and reschedule.......OK so I call back ask to speak to her..not available...employee on the phone tells me sorry there are no appointments available for today ...OK. I call my husband explain ...he tried calling and guess what he got an appt at 1:30. GOOD for you I told him!He comes home after his massage - he shares with me that he paid $139.95 and $20 tip and has $40.05 on his gift card....I said wait the introductory massage is suppose to be $79.95 not $139.95....we call the location to inquire what happened? I am told ..."a gift card purchase is not eligible for the "introductory" pricing....WHAT??? It's his first visit and when I paid for the gift card it was with cash...(MONEY) so why not? NOPE it says it on the website (STUPID) I don't read every dang word on the website and I was not told when I purchased the gift card all the dos and don'ts.SO Here's the deal...we'll use the remaining $$s on the gift card but then that's it....never to return to this business and I'll make sure to spread the word on the lack of customer service here...NOT a good first impression for my husband's first massage experience. Don't bother asking me to call you to discuss because it's not sincere it's just your standard response.....I see it on all your reviews Hand and Stone

Very impressed. There was a Chicana young Aesthetician that was so amazing to work with. She did wonders on my face. I've been to a few H and S places and this one was by far the best experience especially thanks to her!

I was able to walk in and get a same day appointment which was pleasantly surprising and made my evening. I will return since being able to get a massage after work was amazing and was the perfect ending to a long day. The evening availability is exactly what I need.

We did wedding party facials and massages yesterday and it was a very relaxing experience. Hand and Stone accommodated 4 of us and made everyone feel amazing.We'll definitely be back and I'll probably buy a membership.

If I could, I would give 10 stars to the esthetician Haneen. She’s so wonderful, kind, knowledgeable, and so easy to talk to. I connected with her right away and she’s the only reason I would go back to this place. She really made the the whole experience so special!!I didn’t like the massage. I’ve had better in other places. I couldn’t relax at all and it just wasn’t for me.

It seems their business model relies on memberships, so they really encourage you to purchase one. However, after you join, the quality of customer service, including the massages, declines significantly.

SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG HERE! No one is in charge. The corporate website and company in PA take no accountability. No ACC owner! BAD business practices…..do not get a membership that you cannot cancel easily. READ THE BBB COMPLAINTS. I WILL BE ONE OF THEM! I HAVE AMEX ON MY ACCOUNT!After further research, this is a Canadian owned franchise that has no standard of care here in the US. All the sites are running on their own and no one is watching. There are so many complaints with the BBB you can’t read them all nationally! I understand my confusion and experience. I would be worried about what happens behind closed doors knowing what I know now!

This is my 5th or 6th attempt to contact someone about the issue I am experiencing with my membership. You've waited so long to get back to me that my card was charged a second time (December), after I tried to cancel the first time in November. I was told by the staff at your location when I renewed and immediately paused my membership that the cancellation form I already submitted would suffice, and my membership would be cancelled in November as I requested upon the time of renewal. This was guaranteed by your staff, and when I inquired about my charged card in November, I was essentially ghosted by the manager, Drew. I've stopped in, I've called and emailed, and he wont get back to me in a serious or timely matter. One of the most unprofessional people I've ever worked with. I'm asking for my membership to be canceled and a refund for the months incorrectly charged. Don't purchase a membership here. The manager, Drew is a scam artists and will not let you cancel.Not to mention the last time I was there the staff canceled my booked service 20 minutes after my arrival time. This has been a horrible experience.
