Horrible installation job period damaged my vehicle in the tune of $4000 parts and labor. After my car was in The Body Shop to be repaired. It took almost a month to be repaired due to poor communication with Safelite to my body shop and multiple part orders from safelite. I had to give a 1 star wish I could have given zero.

I have an S63 AMG Mercedes that needs a windshield replaced due to rock impact and subsequent cracking. I opened a claim through my insurer and safelite called to inform me that my windshield was scheduled the next day. I spoke to the installer to make sure they had the correct OEM glass with infrared coating- I was informed that only the generic non coated glass was approved by insurance and if I wanted the "correct glass" (safelite language ironically) I would have to pay +$1k difference. I then spoke to my insurer and they had the correct glass approved 2 days later after speaking to Mercedes dealer. Unbelievably, Safelite called me this morning and wanted to know when they could come out and install the OEM windshield and that I owe $1k... At this point I would drive with no windshield vs. Using Safelite- the company is clearly focused on maximum $ per transaction regardless of what the correct solution is. I will not be using Safelite-ever

Set up replacement windshield through my insurance. They said if I owed anything, the tech would tell me after service. Tech said nothing about a bill, so I assumed insurance covered it all. Next day I received a call saying insurance didn't cover it and I owed $350. I informed them that I wanted to reach out to my insurance to confirm prior to paying, and the rep said ok. I called 2 business days after service to pay the bill only to find out they had sent me to collections. I asked to speak with any of the 3 managers they have, and was told they were too busy and would call me back later that day or the next day. Never heard from any of them. I'll never use them again.

I would originally give a four but after the last visit I am extremely ticked off. We had Safelite through insurance install a new windshield all went great but a month later the rain sensor fell off and needed a repair. That took some effort to get them out but they did and fixed in a few minutes. That is where they would get a four. Now I did get a chip so immediately set up an appointment to repair. Got a date, time and they verified insurance. I waited for 6 hours covering the 5 hour window they gave me and no one showed. We called the next day and they could not find we had an appointment. We gave them the order number from my email, told them I received a text as a reminder the day before and they found it. She said they deleted the appointment. We asked why. She said they do not do chip fixes anymore so why did that not come up during the appointment effort. Then she said someone deleted my appointment. We asked why they did not call us and explain the situation, they just deleted our appointment and left us hanging. Frankly, I could train my grandchildren a lot better to do that job. This type of customer service is not rocket science. Of course the lady had excuses as everyone does today as companies take no responsibility for their screwups.

AWFUL SERVICE AND TERRIBLE INSTALLATION- I chose this business because my insurance had it as in-home installation... FALSE!!! A tech comes to your house to say he can't do it at the house, that the vehicle needs to be taken to their shop... TOTAL inconvenience as Safelite was chosen for the in-home installation. They took longer than they said they would and when the car was delivered (had to speak with a manager to get that done as it was a total inconvenience for me) the entire area around the glass had gunk and the glue they use to hold the glass. The install of that glass looked like someone with absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE did it and the fact they dont have anyone supervising the work before returning the car to the owner is incredible. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they have an agreement with your insurance and they do not do quality work, go with another company that will care!

My daughter had her windshield replaced and paid around $500.00. not even a month later while driving on the freeway, a rock hit her windshield again and again she called Safelite. The guy from Safelite cracked her windshield while putting it in and charged her another $500.00. He stated the employees and company are not responsible for any breaks or cracks while installing the windshield.

I used Caleb as my auto technician- he did an outstanding job, not only was he reliable, on time he communicated every step of the process from start to finish. People like Caleb are the reason why safe lite is in business today!

This location GLUED MY CAR BACK TOGETHER. The moldings that cover the sides of the windshield. I am currently waiting for PARTS (not a windshield PARTS) so they can fix my car because it's a year later and I need a new windshield. So I have a smart car, the most expensive Prius you can get $42k off the lot with msrp. It's not a regular Prius, it can drive itself and has many sensors. The windshield is $600 alone the calibration is more. It's not cheap to get any smart car windshield replaced. Anyways these are top of the line experts right? They glued my fucking car back together. I waited for multiple hours in safelight for them to even tell me they can't replace my windshield because they glued my car, now it's 7 days later and they still don't have the part! I could have got the part myself. My windshield is all the way cracked, 12 inches per crack, there's 2 cracks and they get bigger every day. Not happy. But insurance sends me here right... now my insurance is going to go up so they can recoup the funds they spend fixing safelight mistakes.

Had an appointment set up for them to come to my job. I specifically told the representative that I spoke with that my hours at work were 8-5. She stated that she would note my account to have the technician be there by 3p. On the day of my appointment, the technician called to let me know that I had just been added to his schedule (wait, what? I made the appointment a week before). Anyway, he told me that he could not tell me the time he would be at my job and he would provide updates. No update provided throughout the day. At 3p, he calls and tells me that he was still at previous job and the earliest he could get to me was possibly 3:30 and if I wanted to reschedule. I said that I would need to reschedule. He stated that someone would be in touch. Noone ever called. When I call, I am told that I have an appointment already rescheduled. For a day that I don't work...really? Stay away!

worst company I have ever tried to work with. schedule them to come out and replace my windshield I was schedule between 11:30 and 4 they showed up at 4 and said he brought the wrong glass and I would have to take it into there shop because it would need calibration. wasted my whole day for nothing..called a different glass company and when he called my insurance company they told me I would need an inspection because I didn't use Safelite so another words my Insurance Safeco is connected to Safelite. thought that was against the law. I tried calling Safelite and can't get anyone to take my call says can't find my phone number sorry goodby. Very bad customer service..

What a trash company! I gave them a week to get my glass and prepare for the install. I was sent an email that the technician was on the way and he would call me. I got a call, to cancel and reschedule. I called back and told them to find me a company that can do what they can't. Reply, they are all closed. Lies!! I called and can have it done same day! Called AMFAM back and of course they send me to Safelite, the company that handles the auto glass claims. What a monopoly! Safelite tells me because im not using them that I will have to wait for review. BS!!!!! I call AMFAM, tell them I dont want to deal with Safelite, make this happen. Amazing morning for 3 hours. F U Safelite!!

Called my insurance company to have a broken passenger door window replaced. I selected and booked the work through Reliable Auto Glass (Safelite was actually one of the suggested companies from my insurance as well). The next week after the needed parts came in Safelite contacted me to schedule the repair stating that they had acquired Reliable Auto Glass (Uh-oh...). I was not thrilled with the development as I had heard not great things about them from friends and family. Now I regret not canceling the service and finding another company. After them telling me I had to drive my car to them with a broken window for the repair I pushed back and stated that when I booked the job initially it was agreed that the work could be completed at my residence. They agreed to have someone come out on the same day that they wanted me to come to them. Funny how that worked.... Fast forward to when the work was "completed". I went out to inspect and the first thing I noticed was little bits of glass on the ground in my driveway. Then I opened and closed the door which now was doing an impression of a supercharged maraca. I wouldn't have been surprised to hear a few bits to remain in the door but this was ridiculous! I made no bones about how the situation was unacceptable and the guy kept making one excuse after another. Instead of waiting for the glass to gradually work itself out as the installer suggested I was able to intentionally work out a ton of the glass myself (yes, I had to do it myself as the installer mostly watched and then stormed off in a fit when I wouldn't excuse his half-ass job). Attached is a picture of all the glass I was able to work out which as far as I can tell is 95-99% of what was left in there. And believe me, the picture doesn't do it justice, it's much more than it looks. These guys are awful. I didn't want to use them in the first place and will never again! Avoid 'em like the plague!

SAFELITE IS A FRANCHISE! This means You can't actually get a person on the line to help you understand what to do or why it is that way. They have some random doing And answering the reviews! Look at them - they are all innocuous and the same. Marketing will assess if you are a threat and decide if they do anything but that is corporate not the franchise. They actually do not have any customer service person it's all a computer. Worst company ever.
