Absolutely the worst managed Fry's grocery store in Arizona. I like shopping at Fry's but this store in particular is run very poorly. I have had multiple incidents at this location and management has done nothing to fix the issues.

This store has so much potential. Recent improvements include the cheese station by the meat counter. Unfortunately, it is not adequately staffed much of the time. There have been many times I’ve wanted to purchase some cheese, but there is no one there to cut some for me or they are out of inventory.A few weeks back, the entire meat counter was closing down just before 4:00 PM. People just getting off work that wanted to buy protein were simply out of luck. When I told the store manager on duty, they simply shrugged their shoulders and gave me a blank stare, as though they did not know how they could have addressed the issue. This happens when unions run the show and there’s no recourse for management to correct issues with labor. On a recent occasion, when checking out, the cashier, who was also a manager, was chewing gum. This is a county health code violation as he handles ready-to-eat food. When I mentioned this to him, his response was, “So report me.” He was rude and unprofessional, for being a so-called “leader” and manager. Most of the time, the cashiers are kind, friendly and professional. The produce area needs more attention. This store should benchmark itself against the store at Tatum and Shea, or the store in Anthem. Those stores have much better management of the produce areas.Kroger is gouging its customer on its generic products. For example, the Rice Bits, which are the generic brand for Rice Chex, have risen from $1.69 to $2.99 in the last two years. There is no way in hell there has been a 77% increase in the price of rice. The bakery used to sell apple fritters for $0.49 each last year. They now sell for $0.99. That is a 200% INCREASE, which explains why they DO NOT sell me ANY now. The price of wheat and flour has NOT increased by 200%, only your greed has.I get it. Prices have increased, thanks to Biden’s inflation. But let’s get real. Fry’s/Kroger is driving business across the street to Safeway. At least the customer service at Safeway focuses on the customers. They greet the customer, and when a customer asks for help or the location of a product, they walk the customer to the product to make sure they find it.We spend too much money at this store for you not to care more.

They have amazing deals on vegetables, fruit, and pretty much everything. I like the fuel point rewards. If you use the app and take the time to look at what’s on sale, you can save money at the store. If you use the app and take the time to look at what’s on sale, you can save money at the store.

Got my first frys card in here with the help of a friendly cashier! And I like how big this frys is and that it has clothes and shoes as well as food.

I find the entire experience grocery shopping to be incredibly annoying. I probably have a really bad attitude about the whole thing!I'm highly irritated, suspicious, and distrustful of this company. But their prices are absolutely better than Safeway's obscene prices! My distrust comes from 20 years of having them change the store layout to force me to spend more time searching their shelves, because some pencil pushing analytics geek told them that forcing me to stay in their store longer would result in more revenue. I also distrust them because of the outrageous overprice games on some items. For example, pre-COVID, I used to buy a box of medium sized milk bone dog biscuits for somewhere around $2.79 to $2.99 for a box. On sale, they would be two boxes for $5.00. The last time I checked the price on this item, It was 499 for a single box. C'mon man!! That's just obscene. And it really really really really really really text me off!Other little niggling issues irritate me beyond words. For example, some pinhead and management apparently decided that the butcher counter should not open until 10:00 a.m. Even on the weekends! Brilliant. Leave the butcher items unavailable during prime weekend shopping hours! All that said, Fry's Marketplace at 40th St & Chandler Blvd is the least evil of the limited choices nearby. That store at least has good selection (variety) and is well stocked and has a small selection of somewhat out-of-scope items like hardware, toys, office supplies, home decor & goods, and even some clothing & shoes.

This store NEVER has hand-held baskets as you enter. I spend more time tracking down a basket than I do getting my few items from the shelves.

over an hour wait pick up time. They only had one girl running around. They don’t have enough spots for pick up so people were waiting in reg spots waiting for a pick up spot to open. There was no manager out here helping this poor girl who looks stressed trying to figure out why they’re so behind. This store has poor management. Probably the worst fry’s I’ve been to. I feel bad for the girl they have working outside on her own dealing with upset customers. While her coward managers are inside probably unaware of Also I’m writing this review as I continue to wait for my pick up order that I was just told they can’t find . I
