By far the worst place you could go. No customer service experience took forever to get someone to the cash register. One of the ladies was by the registered, didn’t even acknowledge anybody in line and just left to do other things. Needed help, there was nobody to be found the damn employee look like a regular customer shopping and I walked by her four times didn’t even ask if I needed the help. Who the hell hires these type of people???????

Went in today to grab some stuff for my daughter. I noticed they had a sale section marked at 90% off, they also had a sectioned marked for the 3 day sale from this weekend still up. I grabbed 5 planting pots from the 90% off section, they have a million things all in the area still. So I went to check out and everything range up at the normal price so I explained to the chick that everything was still marked in the area with the signs, she went over and looked and said well they aren't on sale and are full price. I left my stuff, she proceeded to tell me I could leave the store. Honestly if you aren't willing to work with the customers the girl needs to find a new job, she was rude and super unprofessional. Also it's Tuesday and its already 5pm, the sale ended Monday....WHY would you have all this stuff up or even out still

Cashier was chatting it up with customer while there was a long line, then the other cashier who seems to be the manager comes out and then they arguing in front of customers taking forever while there's still a long line. Manager kept telling cashier to stop and to take care of customers and girl would not drop it.

Store is closed during regular business hours (1:16pm Monday). No sign, no other explanation other than an employee inside stating they are closed. They also don’t answer the phone when you call to check if they are open during this excessive heat warning.

I share my bad experience that occurred today, because I am surprised that the store is closed at 7:00 p.m., I still do not understand the reason because I spoke with a person who is not suitable for serving the public, they do not work the hours established in said schedule, I demand some type of solution or they just close the store so that, like me, we leave work and need to buy something as close to our homes and they are not available by the lack of their workers

I love going there to shop and to look ? around lots of good stuff and nice staff i always see them busy they being on top for they’re store, i can see who love there job they deserves a raise ,good customer service , and on homeless people that’s getting better ?????GOD bless you all

Who doesn't like to save money? I do I really do. Once I noticed that this Dollar General was literally across the street from my hotel, the red roof Inn plus, I needed to check things out. The Dollar General is known for Deep discounts and basically selling everything for a dollar, no matter what it is. What's the time when I notice a dollar general store in the area, I tried to gravitate towards it. Who doesn't like spending money that's only a dollar. Well you're a budget traveler like me, why not? What's the time, when I buy stuff here at the dollar general, it's mostly food items. I found myself in the freezer aisle, where ice cream and other assorted frozen foods are sold for a dollar apiece. They can be very lucrative in away because other places can mark that up for 5 to 6 dollars, when I can get it for a dollar here at the dollar general. Major cost savings alert! I spent about 20 minutes here, because the store is not really that day anyway to begin with. It's quite clean and organized, for what it is but disorganize in a way that they really don't care. But in the end I found what I was looking for and that's pretty good, although selling chips for a dollar and water for a dollar is kind of OK but not saving money. The other stuff yes where They can save you a bunch of money on food items everything else they sell here at the Dollar General is mostly household items or seasonal items. Which can be a bargain if you know what you're looking for. To be honest, is a good place to shop if you basically buying food. Mostly frozen foods, like ice cream but still worth to check out. Just because I come from a place where food is always at a premium. The overall experience here at the Dollar General here in Phoenix Arizona was interesting And I feel like Shopping In a ghetto sort of. While being budget friendly here at the dollar general, the store seems to cater to the lower end of the income spectrum. Why I don't mind shopping in these kinds of ambience, it just feels you are in unfavorable conditions, like the clear opposite of Macy's, where you don't feel confident in Shopping. It is what it is basically. Just to get what you need at favorable price points while traveling and stuff. The service here was friendly and fast, to be honest I felt like they did not want to be there either. That's the vibe I got but that's how it is I suppose. For the most part though, I ended up purchasing a few things and spent about $5 for five items. They had a banner up that said 50% off at the time, so they were selling stuff above $1. The best part was that Arizona doesn't have sales tax. Just paid $5 even and it was nice to not have to dig around for change. If you are in the area and interested in budget friendly shopping, consider coming here to this or any Dollar General store in Phoenix, Arizona. The vibe here can be questionable but just get in and out and you'll be fine. It's cheap! Definitely recommend coming, but there's pros and cons. I think the pros outweigh it all. This Dollar General store is located at 3949 W McDowell Road in Phoenix, Arizona. Nearby is the Red Roof Inn Plus and the Green Tree Hotel, as well as a Burger King and McDonalds, among other businesses. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. Credit cards are usually preferred but cash is always welcomed. While possibly face masks are optional here in Arizona during the current COVID-19 pandemic, I chose to wear mine just because I don't want to get sick on an off chance and ruin my vacation here. As far as parking goes, there's plenty of parking here, as Dollar General shares its spaces with other merchants in this commercial cul-de-sac. If you decide to come here via public transportation, it's good to have a good route to ensure that you arrive here early enough to partake in the goodies and the savings. I was staying at the Red Roof Inn Plus, so it was easy enough to walk across the street, but used Uber to get around Phoenix. Doll

Truly awful experience first off they would not honor most of my coupons when she told me she couldn't override or manipulate price as an ex employee I know you are able to do that especially when you're the only person working on a busy Saturday especially when I can show proof that my digital coupon is valid told her if they were not going to honor the coupons then I wanted a refund nobody was at the register at that time then somebody came up to the register and she made me go to the back of the line after serving me first this store needs to be investigated by its RM
