I wish that I could give this location less than 1 star. It doesn't deserve even 1.
First, their parking lot is disgusting. There was trash all over the ground. Everywhere you stepped was stained and sticky. Trash cans were overflowing with garbage. No paper towels available for customers to use to check their oil or for any other purpose. Then, the Tap to Pay wasn't working at the pump, which is important to customers (like me) who know about fake card scanners that are designed to steal card information. Finally, when the guy at the next pump had to go inside just to get his receipt because there was no receipt paper inside of the pump where it SHOULD have been, I literally canceled my transaction, got in my car, and drove nearly 2 miles down Cactus to the next Circle K in Glendale where it was not only clean and pleasant, but the Tap to Pay feature worked as it should; I was able to a receipt at the pump; and, there was paper towel available for checking my oil. Finally I didn't feel like I was walking across a minefield to avoid stepping in auto fluids or sticky, spilled beverages.
It is obvious that the owner(s), manager(s), and staff at the 43rd/Cactus location do not take pride in their business, brand, presentation, or care about its paying customers' experiences. We deserve better.
The trash on the ground, over filled trash cans, unstocked paper towel holders, and lack of receipt paper in the pumps is a result of sheer LAZINESS and management oversight.
The nasty, sticky, filthy grounds that we must walk on is a direct result of cheapness. There are high-pressure power wash services that will gladly service the sidewalks and parking lots on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis to keep them clean. And, with 100's of customers patronizing this location daily/weekly, pulling in with vehicle's leaking oil, transmission, radiator and other fluids, and customers purchasing and spilling sugary, sticky beverages on the sidewalks at entry/exit doors and in the parking lot, power washing the concrete on a regular basis should be routine.
Owners/managers like those running this location prove they simply aren't cutout to run businesses. There is NO WAY that any location that I have ever managed would ever be kept this way. Service providers (i.e., power wash services) would be hired and used regularly. My staff would have everything needed to properly stock customer needed items, such as paper towels, window washing fluid, etc., and receipt paper to stock each pump, so that those who prefer to pay at the pump can do so without needing to enter the store just to get their receipt --- which is the whole point of being able to pay at the pump!
Employees would also be required check and change trash cans, pickup/sweep the grounds in the mornings and during every shift, clean doors, and wipe the display screens on each pump daily to eliminate buildup of dirt, dust, etc. They would be held accountable for doing their jobs thoroughly, which obviously isn't the case now.
Bottom line: This location needs to do much better. I KNOW that it's possible because the Circle K that I drove to from this location, and so many others that I have visited as a result of using the Upside app, already do. The Circle K franchise should do a better job of visiting each and every location bearing their brand, and holding them to higher standards, starting here. Improvement and *consistent* maintenance should be required for continued franchisee privileges.

This circle k has become a scary place to even drive by. There are so many homeless/ drug addict looking people there who are threatening and literally doing drugs ON SITE. They SWARM this circle k to the point I do not even want to stop there for gas. I feel so bad for the employees as I have seen them be HARASSED.l by these people and eventually there is going to be a big lawsuit when one of them gets hurt!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE

I Definitely look over 18. I would be embarrassed to work for an establishment that made me card everyone like I was to stupid too. Bad enough your being replaced by a computer. Who hasn't walked into a Circle K And have had to stand in line with 1 person working in the cash register while four other employees do nothing? Fountain drink machines are always out of order. The Samalian wearing the wierd hat like he is in fargo or something needs to wash his dirty face and hair and get a better attitude

This is pretty much all Circle K's. Kinda nasty. Short handed with long lines. Always a homeless haven because they sell liquor. Once you get past the begging, in and out as quickly as possible. Go home and wash your hands

I love this location! 43rd Ave and cactus - Compared to the horrible and unsafe experiences at other circle k’s (like 35th and Peoria) it is such a nice change to have such a wonderful and safe Circle k to go too! They are always on top of things there and make sure every person is comfortable there (makes sure nobody is outside and hassling people) and on top of any issues or if you need something from the back. Brianna and every other staff member, are so awesome and I appreciate them. They are very personable and nice. (I couldn’t think of names off the top of my head, I’m sorry, but you are all awesome!)
