“I had the BEST experience at Grassroots!! Its Black-Owned! An extensive, well-organized selection of books. Including, a wide of other Black-Owned businesses within this comfortable space. For example, a photography studio and an African store (they have it all). They also offer a meeting space for any size group. There's even an area for the children. Chess tournaments, etc. I volunteered here & It was well worth the time & energy. In addition, you can get some delicious, fresh smoothies (made from scratch), matchas, teas, coffees, bakery goods & bean pie! There's a lot of love & true networking here. The employees are very kind & helpful. All walks of life are welcome. Did I mention it's Black-Owned? Thank you, Grassroots!”

9201 N 7th Ave, Phoenix“This bookstore is AMAZING. It's a book lovers dream come true. Books piled high and tons of options to sort through. It's also alphabetized incredibly well for how many books they have coming and going. I was able to come in and find books by the author I was looking for; and leave with about ten others, too!”
“If you're a book lover like me, the Book Gallery is about as to heaven as you can get. The selection is excellent and if you're interested in antique books, you won't be disappointed”
“I haven't had the opportunity to go but God willing I will go soon. One question is, do you have any books from the Harry Potter saga or the book The Hobbit?”
“wildlingstoys is a boutique toy store that sells educational and developmentally centered toys. It's a small shop but it's packed full of goodies. Shelves are arranged by suggested age to make shopping easier. We went in for three gifts for varying ages and found some unique items, which is why we were avoiding big box stores and online shopping.
My favorites were found actually by my 7 year old for a 1 year old friend and a 2 year old friend. @slumberkins has a line of stuffies, with matching books, that guides through emotional intelligence. Although we picked them by which stuffies were our favorites, they each had a great lesson: building connections and a growth mindset. I also grabbed a matching set of positive affirmation cards for kids. Great find!
To top it off, the team member asked if these were each gifts and then put them each in a nice gift bag with matching tissue paper. What a wonderful and unexpected surprise!
Wildlings Toy Boutique is located near Bethany Home and 16th st and is right next to Cafe Mollie, and across the street from Luci's Market (so stop by for some caffeine and a treat).”
“I've been shopping here for years for a variety of musical needs and there's always something new. Staff is always welcoming, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended over Guitar Center!”
“A Classic Barns & Noble store with a Starbucks inside has tables for work and readings. The newer B&N has more modernized interior decor and brighter lighting, but I prefer to this old-fashion one for a quiet time with a coffee and book on a table and chair. Just like the college library vibe I miss after graduation.
Alert, ask the staff for the door code before rushing to the restroom. ?”

2501 W Happy Valley Rd Suite 20, Phoenix“I hope these bookstores don't go out of business! I think Barnes & Nobles book stores are one of the best! The cafe has this amazing chocolate hazelnut banana cake. Super yummy! My daughter said it was one of the best desserts that she ever had. ??”
“Great store, good deals. It is getting better organized which helps. The staff's helpfulness varies greatly, from very friendly and helpful to cool and expressionless. Worth the visit.”
“Dog Eared Pages is a paradise for anyone who likes to learn about the world! Unlimited access to every genre; current publications and precious historical titles. Tom, the owner, is knowledgeable and eager to share! I have saved so much money and stopped wasting time and money on Amazon! So thankful to have found this magical reading resource!”
“Pastor Mark is a loving, caring man who goes above and beyond to share the love of Jesus. The people are also very loving and kind. I highly recommend this church. They teach directly from the word of God. I love this church and have been blessed by all the teachers and staff for many years. Jesus is coming soon, so if you don't know him as your personal savior, stop by the church and speak with someone. Jesus loves you.”
“This is a very nice store, well kept, lots of items in stock too. The staff were so helpful and kind. The kids got stickers and had a table to play at while I browsed. This is a nice religious store to purchase Christian based items ”
“I've only been in there twice they've got everything I need as far as car magazines I took my little niece in she got what she needed it's an amazing place thank you”

4322 E Cactus Rd, Phoenix“This is one of my favorite used books stores to go to even though it is now out of my way to do so. They have a good selection of used books, cds, records and dvds in all genres. I don’t think I have ever left this store without at least finding one book or dvd I’m looking for. The staff has always been professional and pleasant.”
“The shop and personnel are terrific. If you want to find the best in American Indian jewelry, rugs, pottery and creations of all types visit the shop with well educated and helpful personnel. From modern items to cases of antique treasures you will find it here. And after finding something visit the great Museum and the Restaurant. One of the best Posoles and turkey, brie and cranberry sandwiches around. It is worth the visit and spending time.”
“I’ve been to this coffee shop a BUNCH OF TIMES. It’s in my favorite area of downtown. Everytime I’ve asked questions regarding drinks, baristas recommendations. The employees have always been nice and super respectful. The drinks are creative, simple and high quality. I love the variety of drinks offered. The colorful ambiance with the interior. Adds extra enjoyment factor when I’m here relaxing making some art or doing something productive. This place is one of my staples. “Best part of February is when I get to go and purchase books. It’s easy here to find what your looking for and just as easy to take home a bag or two full of books. I would suggest making a list of books you want before going to help keep your goal books you want. Also have flexibility because sometimes a book just seem to pick you sometimes. Great people there to help you along the way if you need help or just want to talk about books that might also interest you. I will say reading others peoples take on books I would not normally get got me to step out of my normal. Your first time going make sure you have good shoes and be in comfy outfit and being a bag or to that can hold the book that chose to come home with you”
“I love the niche things in life including this store! Wide World Maps is a chain and is really specific but what they do, they do well. The interior feels a lot like waling into a book store and the vibe definitely carries once you talk to the store manager. If you have any questions, and you probably should if you're walking into this place, the front desk manager will be able to help you with the intelligence and experience of a seasoned librarian who knows exactly where every book in their library is. If you like learning and looking at maps, dreaming about visiting remote areas some day this, is the spot for you. A really fun aspect of walking into the store is asking what sorts of interesting maps they carry. I personally really loved the map of Phoenix superfund sites created by FEMA. It's beautiful enough to hang on a wall but still useful enough to reference it several times per month. My favorite aspect of wide world is the funny collection of people who come in to shop. The whole store is full of quirky interesting people who will talk your ear off about an interesting map they discovered in a garage sale. You'll have a blast just socializing here. Finally, I will add, even though the prices f the maps aren't cheap, their quality reflects in the price. Every map I have purchased here is an awesome, high quality, doesn't rip or fade, and is awesome to look at.”
“The store owner is a wonderful person, may God bless her. The price of perfumes is good and there is a wide selection of books on jurisprudence, history, and hadith. I bought a keffiyeh and she was patient with me because I have a big head. She helped me try many styles of hats until I found what suits me best. May God bless her with His grace.”

2706 E Bell Rd, Phoenix“The Phoenix Street Atlas is the best tool for navigating the city and while not cheap it's well worth the cost. I've been using the Atlas for most of the 40 years it's been published and am still amazed at how many pages have been added in that time.”

1221 N Central Ave 1st Fl, Phoenix“Driving up to the building is impressive and entering it is bookworm's wonderland. I like the fountain that's inside which gives it a nice outdoor and calm relaxing feeling. A great place to get away from it all when you just want to read in an air conditioned building and staying out of the heatwave.”

“Cute and fun shop definately designed to appeal to readers. The selection is limited as you would expect, I would like to see more nonfiction offerings but the variety of items and neighborhood store vibe is worth the visit.”
