Terrible moving service. Unprofessional and unreliable. They will call you 5 minutes before your reservation time to say their truck broke down. Gave us multiple excuses and time changes onlyto eventually say they’re not coming (no reason given) and try to reschedule us later in the week. We canceled the reservation. In response to businesses reply: You’re right, your next available of 4 days later did not work for me and you made NO offer of a discount. And it’s clearly not rare for you to not fulfill your reservations based on your other google reviews. Stop lying on your business listing. Do better

DO NOT USE BELLHOP! There is no way I would recommend anyone to use this service. I will be reaching out to the Redfin agent that suggested them to us and im sure they will no longer refer them either. But here is what went down.We scheduled this company for our move a month in advanced, everything was going smooth, decent communication, an app to see who would be moving you.. ect. Everything broke down day of move.We woke up early, finished some last minute things and then went and got one of those jugs of coffee from Starbucks for the movers. While sitting in SB waiting for the coffee, 20 minutes before our move was scheduled... We get a call saying the moving truck had gotten a flat tire and we would have to change our move to 3 days later. Obviously raised a stink as it surely does not take 3 days to change a tire. So we head back to our place to regroup. We get there and to our suprise the moving truck is sitting just outside our gate waiting for us.We then call the company letting them know that the moving truck was at our place, while on the phone 2 of the movers showed up as well. The company had 0 clue what was going on the entire time. They gave us multiple reasons why the move could not happen that day, clearly lying about the reasons since the moving truck showed up with no flat tire and 2 of the 3 movers were there too. They found a replacement to come in for the guy that called out, but he was only there for 2/5 hours of our move and they charged us for him being there the whole time. I ended up moving items with the crew the whole time since we were down a person. If I wouldn't have done that, the move would have taken significantly longer and we would have paid even more.Terrible communication and service overall.

Avoid this company! Book with All My Sons for a much better experience at the same price!! I would not recommend this company to anyone. I booked a Sunday move, which I was surprised but grateful to see was available, as that worked best for my schedule. The team reached out the day prior, requesting photos of my belongings, confirming I would see them at 8:00 the next morning. 8:00 came and went, 9:00... so I called and the mover let me know the truck didn't show up so they couldn't complete the move and would need to come back in the afternoon. Bellhop support was no help, and asked me to relay messages to the movers and used me as the middle man in their communication to the movers. Not sure why they couldn't call them themselves. I got a call before noon that the move would be completed on Wednesday, three days later. Obviously that wouldn't work for me and I had to scramble at the last minute to find new movers on a Sunday. All My Sons movers went out of their way to find a team in the valley that could complete my move at the last minute and saved the day! Avoid this company if you actually want to have movers that show up.

Michael and Chris were perfect for our move. Very professional and skilled at loading and unloading. Hard workers are difficult to find. These guys were that and more. Two thumbs up.

It started it great, until they realized they under estimated the size of the truck. They left a patio table, fire pit, 6 lamps, and a large painting and told me I'd have to move it myself. They also moved a desk unassembled and said they leave it the way they found it. When they put a bed together and couldn't get the power lift to work they tried to leave it that way, saying they had another appointment When I called to complain I was told that it would cost $617 for a return visit but they would compensate me for the trouble. When I asked how, I got no response until today when I got a text message saying my move was scheduled Never again!!!Update: they responded and said to contact their support team for help--it was their support team that wanted to charge me an additional $617-bad form Bellhop

Run. Run as fast as you can to another moving company. 3 years ago we used this company and had a great experience. We hired them in October 2023 for another move. The morning of moving day, they called us to tell us that one of our movers was injured and they wouldn’t be able to do our move until the following afternoon. The employee on the phone assured me that he had booked us with another team for the next day. The next morning, I tried to confirm that we were indeed on their schedule, since it wasn’t showing up in our dashboard. I received a text message telling me that, again, they didn’t have a team for us, and I could choose another date…2 or 3 days down the road. And, oh, they would also offer us a 10% discount for our inconvenience. I reached out to an independent, local mover (I called him at 5 AM and he answered his phone!) They got us moved that day. I will never use Bellhop Movers again.

Bellhop Moving Is the moving company from HELL!!! At 5pm the day before my move they tell me it needs to be rescheduled. They rescheduled it for a day later so I spent the day with every thing packed up and ready to go. Then they cancelled the rescheduled time at last minute by email. What kind of company treats customers this way?? I wish I had read other reviews for Bellhop. Seems this is business as usual for this horrible joke of a company. Terrible.

10/6/23 Update: I figured that Bellhop would follow up to this review with a response that was intentionally misleading to future potential customers. So here is an update that addresses the false statements in their response below."an authorization hold is placed before the move for the cost of the reserved/estimated timeframe." - Correct, and the authorized amount should have been $59.70 based on my signed contract. You attempted to place a hold for $90, which was based on an estimate that I never agreed to. This discrepancy of $30 is why I was successfully able to dispute this charge."it has come to our attention that there was an adjustment to your original estimate (from 3 hours to 4 hours), leading to a change in the estimated price." - As I have said again and again, this was not an adjustment as nothing changed in my original reservation. This was a mistake made by your company (either intentionally or unintentionally) that has led you to refuse to even acknowledge the actual contract that we had in place. Don't play with words to try and make your company look like it was not at fault."we would like to extend a goodwill gesture by waiving the late cancellation fee associated with your reservation".- Although I do happen to have an MBA, I don't need it to know that it is not a goodwill gesture to waive a fee that was illegal to have charged in the first place. We both know I wasn't paying it because you didn't have any proof to send to my credit card company that I owed it. True goodwill would have you taking authentic accountability for your mistakes as well reimbursing me for stress related to dealing with this experience. I see now that I am not dealing with a company that cares at all about providing a good customer experience. --------------------------10/5/23 Update: After reading all of these other negative reviews, I have contacted 5 on your side to see if they can help expose the poor / fraudulent business practices of Bellhop. It might be a few months before I hear anything from them, but please feel free to reach out to me in LinkedIn if you also want to share your experience (search watoney)---------------------------Original Review:I made a reservation with Bellhop a little over a week ago. I usually don't write customer reviews, but my overall experience was so poor that I felt it was important to share for any future potential customers. My main complaint is that I accepted a quote with Bellhop for a move in the amount of $597. Somehow, the reservation got messed up in their system, and on the day of the move I was told I had to agree to a new amount of $906. I refused to accept a last minute $300 increase to the price, and when I tried to address this with their customer service, they insisted that I would now be subjected to a $200 cancellation fee.(And in case someone from their social media team tries to refute my version of events, I have posted details here: drive.google.com/drive/f…)So again, my main complaint is that Bellhop tried to force me to accept a last minute price increase of $300 on the day of my move. When I refused, they kept insisting that I would be subjected to a $200 cancellation fee (in addition to being left in the lurch on my moving day). However, a few other things I didn't like about my experience with Bellhop:When you make a reservation, you will automatically get enrolled into what they call their "Free, Lifetime, Concierge" service, which from what I can tell is just them harassing you to try and sell products / services you never asked for (ie. insurance, junk removal, etc). And given that their prices are probably higher than average, I don't think this "free" service is going to be helpful to many people. I have tried to dis-enroll via text as well as email, so hopefully I get removed from this mailing list. Also, I think the you can find local moving companies at a much better price. I accepted their quote because I actually thought I was paying for a better customer service experien

Just following up on my disastrous move with Bellhop Movers. After they called me at 5pm Wednesday the day before my move on Thursday morning and told it needed to be scheduled the next day on Friday morning at 8am. Then they sent an email on Thursday night and said they had to cancel my move. They sent me an emailed apology form letter. So on Friday morning the day of my "rescheduled" move I'm looking for a mover who will show up. I finally found Simpson Family Movers and spoke with Mark Anthony. He said he was in the process of moving someone else and could get to me no later then 2pm. He showed up at 10am!! So these two affable, polite and professional moved my apartment in 3 hours! They did an excellent job. The very best moving experience I've ever had. Maybe Bellhop Movers should become real Bellhops and then they just need to show up once and then the customers would come to them. But you got to SHOW UP that one time. Good Luck.

I had 2 guys booked for 2 hours, and 3 actually showed up because one was in training (you are not charged extra for them). They were so efficient and asked where to put everything before placing it down. They were so efficient and my crew was flexible. My complex had to push me moving in an hour and a half and my movers were very understanding and waited to clock-in until everything was ready to be moved from the POD to the apartment. Would definitely use them again with the price and quality!!

The employees who actually do the work were good - movers drivers customer support salesHowever, bellhop suffers from terrible management - i rate 1/5 stars for effectiveness and 0/5 for professionalism and responsiveness to customers.bellhop alerted me that the truck would was delayed for 3 hours at the last minute (3 hrs before my scheduled move)i let the know that the freight elevator was not available 3 hours laterthey then let me know the move could be postponed to the next day, but only at 8 ami had work the next day, and moving was not technically allowed until 10 am by my apartment management, so i asked for an afternoon move the following daybellhop then let me know, that the truck would not be available for an afternoon movei asked them to clarify why, since if my stuff was picked up at 8 am, the truck would be moving my stuff in the afternoon anyways, so how is it possible that i can't postpone my move to the afternooni asked the customer support staff to put me in touch of the "truck manager," who never got in touch with mei then called customer support again, and left another message to have someone reach out to me so i could understand why they couldn't offer me an afternoon pick up, but again did not receive a call backi even left the same message with the sales team, as this was the second time i was using bellhop (and definitely the last time) and i had talked to the same person both times, to please have someone reach out to me, and never received a call backultimately i missed work the next day, and movers - who were of course not informed of the delay in my move - had to work around a garbage truck that comes to the loading dock in the early morning using a regular elevator, as the freight elevator was not available before 10 am by building managementoverall, all i can say about bellhop was that the move happened - but i wish i hadn't paid the exorbitant bill they charge, particularly given their lack of professionalism and my level of stress during the move, i should have just moved my stuff myself for a third of the price.

First let me say that Arturo was on time, polite and a very good mover. The guy who came with him (arrived 15 minutes late) was not at the same level. The Bellhop team never sent me a confirmation. I was charged $448 for a $293 quote for (2) unloaders for two hours. They left after two hours and one wasn’t even there the full two hours.PLUS my credit card was charged an additional $263.70.Support is terrible and was no help in correcting these errors.Arturo needs a raise and I need $149 back for fees never explained to me in advance plus the $263.70 charge for absolutely nothing.I will hire a professional for my next move.

RUN AWAY. Do NOT use this joke of a company. We reserved a 2hr slot with 2 movers. One of those movers cancelled at the last minute, leaving us with 1 guy to unload a U-Haul filled with furniture and boxes, including items that REQUIRED 2 people. The company never sent another person to help. Instead, 3 of us helped the 1 mover get the job done (so we did the bulk of the work ourselves). When we called to rectify the situation, the company took $30 off the bill (a whopping ~10%!!). What if we had been elderly or disabled and couldn’t help? Unacceptable.

Horrible. Hired a crew to load contents of our home for a cross country move. The "professional" crew never used the provided furniture pads. Most of our furniture was damaged as a result. I submitted a claim form and now am being ghosted by BellHop.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. WARNING: CREWS ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL MOVERS. STAY AWAY. HIRE KNOWN LOCAL MOVERS INSTEAD.

Use anyone else.I booked them well in advance of my move, but had to postpone (also well in advance) as the apartment I was going to move into was severely damaged by a flood and hailstorm (along with 29 other buildings in the complex.) It was a massive storm and the apartment complex is still waiting on the final number from insurance before they can start work. I have been sitting on moving boxes for a couple of months.Instead of just holding my deposit, Bellhop, kept trying to push a new move date on me. I have no date. I wish i had a date as I want to move. They took ALL of my money for the move. I am going to see if I can get this back through my credit card company or small claims court, but in reading other reviews on social media, it sounds like this is typical behavior. I'd avoid at all costs.
