I would absolutely recommend AZ Street Custom and Martin to anyone needing work done to their new or classic car. I found AZ Street Custom and met Martin purely by chance about two days before my new truck was hit. It turned out to be a huge blessing. I had my vehicle towed there and Martin took care of the rest. The whole process was a HUGE hassle with the dealership sending wrong parts and insurance problems but Martin took care of it all. Communication was excellent, and the repairs were done perfectly. I can't thank them enough.

The absolute best! I picked up my Acura today & it looks amazing. Martin & his crew took such good care of my vehicle. Corrected the issue & returned my car in a timely manner. I can't say enough good things about AZ Street Custom...they overdelivered & I drove away very, very happy! Thank you!

Restored 2 cars here - a 1977 Scout II and 73 Travelall. Body work and mechanical work were both immaculate. One of the best and most reasonably-priced restoration shops in the valley.

I had AZ Street Custom restore my car from the frame up. Here are some of the issues encountered (not all):*Was assured frame would be straightened during restoration but was not - car still sits at significant angle*Asked for max legal window tint. Not tinted above smoked glass*Asked for points distributor. Ordered electronic distributor*Asked for power brakes. Manual brakes*Asked for long tube headers. Standard headers*Asked for specific v-belt pulley kit and electric radiator fans and to be notified if there were clearance issues (second choice was a flex fan). I was not notified of clearance issues. Installed a serpentine kit instead and clearance issues remained. In addition to thousands of extra dollars for kit and required alternate accessories, charged labor for multiple trial fan installations, fan shroud fabrications and other customizations required to fit serpentine kit. They finally got a fan to fit, but it is under-powered and they had to remove part of the serpentine kit to make it fit.*Asked for custom rear speaker installation with supplied brackets (simple bolt-in installation). Declined because he "could not guarantee my people will do it right". After this, I asked to restore as if no speakers would be installed. They installed package tray with speaker pods. Eventually installed standard package tray, but tried to charge me for it.*Asked to have speakers installed in doors (supplied by me). Cut incorrect holes in doors. They repaired doors, but repairs look horrible. After this, I told them not to bother installing the speakers since I was going to have someone else install rear speakers anyway. At this point, they decided to literally trash my brand new speakers. They were found in bottom of garbage parts box covered in dirt, filled with metal shavings, with bent frames and damaged cones. Completely destroyed.*Asked to fully carpet the trunk. Not carpeted (no finish whatsoever). Incorrectly claimed I said not to (the ONLY thing I told them not to do was install the speakers due to issues mentioned above)*Asked several times to paint trim around rear window black. Painted body color. They did repaint it, but tried to charge me for it.*Asked to have my rims restored. They eventually did, but after much arguing and claiming they were defective in some way*Chipped paint on edge of trunk, door jams and interior panels. Said they would repair but did not*Scratched chrome on rear bumper (was not scratched when originally installed)*Glass does not seat properly on weather stripping. Attempted to fix but failed*Passenger door does not open from inside. Attempted to fix but failed*Many billing errors (duplicate parts, duplicate labor, typos for thousands of $, etc...)*Very loose steering. > 15 degrees play in steering wheel*Leaking transmission fluid*Failed emissions test*Emergency brake does not work*Car overheats at idle when outside temp is above 80ish degrees (see the v-belt/serpentine/fan issue mentioned above)*Car vibrates horribly when letting off gas at 50mph*Windows do not roll up/down properly (grinding/popping), do not roll up/down all the way*Weather stripping in door not attached/falling out*Damaged door panels*Bent door trim*Damaged vinyl on seats*Bare wires hanging out from underneath dashMartin is friendly, has a great sense of humor and can really paint a car. I wish I could have left a positive review. Unfortunately, I cannot. After paying 3 times the maximum I had intended to pay, I am left with a lopsided, incomplete and undriveable car with unwanted customizations and many defects. They did offer to fix any issues that I may find, but at this point, I would rather pay someone else to fix it right and to actually finish the restoration. If I had to do it over again, I would have brought my car elsewhere. If all you need is a really nice paint job, AZ Street Custom may be a reasonable option. If you need anything more involved or truly "custom" (to your specifications), I highly recommend you choose another shop.

I had AZ Street Custom restore my car from the frame up. Unfortunately, the process was problematic. Here are some of the issues encountered (not all, limited by max review length): -Assured frame would be straightened during restoration. Not straightened, car still sits at significant angle -Asked for max legal window tint. Not tinted above smoked glass -Asked for points distributor. Electronic distributor -Asked for power brakes. Manual brakes -Asked for long tube headers. Standard headers -Asked for specific v-belt pulley kit and electric radiator fans and to be notified if there were clearance issues (second choice was a flex fan). I was not notified of clearance issues and they installed a serpentine kit instead. With the chosen serpentine kit, the clearance issues remained. In addition to thousands of extra dollars for kit and required alternate accessories, I was charged labor for multiple trial fan installations, fan shroud fabrications and other customizations required to fit the serpentine kit. They finally got a fan to fit, but it is under-powered and they had to remove part of the serpentine kit to make it fit. I will probably just remove serpentine kit and install the v-belt kit I originally wanted. If I do, I will update this review to indicate if there really were clearance issues. -Asked for custom rear speaker installation with supplied custom brackets (simple bolt-in installation). Declined because he "could not guarantee my people will do it right". After this, I asked to restore the rear deck as if no speakers would be installed. They then installed package tray with speaker pods. They did install the standard package tray after pointing out the mistake, but tried to charge me for it. -Asked to have speakers installed in doors (supplied by me). They cut incorrect holes in doors. They repaired the doors, but the repairs look like crap. After this, I told them not to bother installing speakers since I was going to have someone else install rear speakers anyway. At this point, they decided to literally trash my brand new speakers. They were found in bottom of garbage parts box covered in dirt, filled with metal shavings, with bent frames and damaged cones. Completely destroyed. -Asked to fully carpet the trunk. Attempted to fix but failed -Many billing errors (duplicate parts, duplicate labor, typos for thousands of $, etc...) -Very loose steering. Greater than 15 degrees play in steering wheel -Leaking transmission fluid -Failed emissions test -Emergency brake does not work -Brake pedal adjusted too high and gas pedal adjusted too low. Due to this, I actually got my foot caught under the brake pedal a couple times while approaching reds lights while driving it home -Car overheats at idle when outside temp is above 80ish degrees (see the v-belt/serpentine/fan issue mentioned above) -Car vibrates horribly when letting off gas at 50mph -Horrible chirping noises from front and rear -Windows do not roll up/down properly (grinding/popping) - do not roll up/down all the way -Weather stripping in door not attached/falling out -Chrome trim around windshield not secure/lifting off -Damaged door panels -Bent door trim -Damaged vinyl on seats -Missing trim pieces -Bare wires hanging out from underneath dash Martin is friendly, has a great se

I was pretty worried that this project would go bad but they did the impossible and helped me out with installing these vertical doors onto my 2019 Z06. Looks pretty cool. They did a good job and made sure to install it correctly despite it requiring a ton of extra steps. Good job!

Edit: Part of doing new things on a classic is working out the kinks after having new parts installed. After the brakes and suspension were installed and I went to take it home, the wheels were rubbing in the fenders so I messaged Martin right away and he had me bring it straight back. They took a look and he was able to make some adjustments without having to change out the tires all together which would have been super expensive. I seriously cannot thank him and his team enough for the hard and quality work they put into my car. It is my baby and I worry about leaving it with anyone else to work on, but they took great care of it and Martin is amazing about communicating with me and I look forward to bringing it back for a new paint job!!! Thank you all again so muchMartin and his team are so professional and did such great work on my 66 Fury. The car is my baby and I get nervous bringing it anywhere, especially after moving across country and leaving the shop that I trusted with it. I will only ever bring it back to Martin. He was amazing at communicating what needed to be done and never once tried to push anything that was unnecessary. He was honest about what was needed and always let me know if anything else came up. The brake parts were delayed and took a little longer, but absolutely not their fault and they communicated with me right away when there was the delay. It drives beautifully and is so smooth again. I cannot recommend them enough and cannot wait to bring my car there again in the future for more work.Services: Exhaust

Took in my C7 Z06 to get Z07 aero package installed (side skirts and front splitter) and was very pleased with the quality of work from AZ Street Custom. The owner Martin is very professional and friendly and knows exactly what he’s doing when customizing any car. Definitely recommend to anybody looking for quality work done on their vehicle. You are definitely in good hands!

I tried contacting these guys for days about some work for my Corvette. I called, left voice-mail, text, Facebook messenger, and asked how to get in touch with someone on their FB page and it was deleted. That was the last straw. Can't imagine if my car was in their shop and I was calling to check on progress or something. No way. I'm taking my car to Icandy in Peoria instead.
