On Sunday 1/28 we observed a female
shopper at the Anthem Az Safeway store carting a relatively large dog within her shopping cart while putting her groceries in with the dog. Ugh that’s so gross.
Is this a permissible Safeway Store policy what sanitary standards do you have in place to insure the next customer who uses that cart and who may have a dog alergy condition receives a totally clean and sanitized cart? This is beyond unacceptable. We don’t want our groceries placed in an environment where someone’s dog has just been sitting & quite possibly transmitting disease to our eatables or most importantly ourselves.
If this is acceptable in your stores have designated dog grocery carts so I know we’re not using a cart where a dog has been recently enclosed.
Btw how frequently do your stores wash down and sanitize the entire
fleet of carts? Thank you for your hopeful response.

Apparently Safeway cares nothing about numbers, loss prevention, and goes straight to jacking up prices in order to cover losses from the inordinate amount of theft.Criminals know that Safeway will do nothing and come back again and again to steal often the same day..As a consumer, I can no longer do business with Safeway as they are part of the problem, not a part of the solution.. They do nothing so they are complicit. Safeway has lost a 30 year customer.Real smart..

Being a loyal customer just isn't enough! Now I have to shop with digital coupons on my phone to get your sale price!!! Rubbish!!! I saw a sale on coke, 3 for $13.00. Was charged $27.79 because i didn't bring my phone. Seriously???

Last night after leaving store at Rita ranch in Tucson AZ I stopped behind the store to fix a flat tire on my bike when the manager Zachary came out the backdoor to started calling me a garbage picker and crack head ,and I wasn't in nor near their dumpster I went around front and requested to speak to a manager and lo and behold it was him who said everything out back I explained what I was doing back there and he threatened he would call the police next time completely ignoring me about I wasn't in their dumpster I am infuriating how he insisted I was and his nasty attitude towards me I shop at this store almost daily but I will as of today never step foot in their store again.they hire morans to manage their stores

Yesterday, 09/16/23 a man's backpack was stolen from out front of Safeway in Bisbee, they won't pull up the camera film and let him look at it so he can find out who took his backpack.In his backpack was his phone.It would be really nice it's safe I would do the right thing and allow him to find out who took his backpack.

Staff at Wickenburg Safeway have attitude they are priority, especially meat department. One of the employees hides out in the far corner of the store. Today pushed me over the edge, no pork chops on shelf and when I asked them for the chops , the employee rolled her eyes at me and told me it would be a while because they had four racks of meat in front of the chops. This is par for the course with this meat department. Fortunately, I do have the option to go to the Safeway in Surprise where the employees are awesome.

Went to the Safeway deli in Sierra Vista to grab a sandwich. Stood in line for 25 minutes (I was only the 3rd in line), while the clerk looked miserable about having to serve customers. There were a total of 5 employees behind the counter frantically trying to look too busy to help customers, even though the line was getting longer by the minute. I finally get up to the counter and order a sandwich.. his response is that he doesn’t know how to make sandwiches. I ask him if there is someone who does. I figure one them must know how since there are 5 of them. He walks off to talk to 1 of them and I hear the other clerk tell him …”well that’s how I learned.” I walked at that point. I call the store to talk to the deli manager when I get home. It turns out that manager is working today….I guess she was the other employee who refused to help the clerk. It seems like ever time I go to that deli, the employees refuse to help the customers and have an attitude when they finally have no choice. Won’t be back. I’m over it.

I enjoy my Safeway. I do have a suggestion. I live alone. I would deeply appreciate being able to purchase perishable produce in smaller quantities. Allow me to provide an example. CELERY. I love celery however I cannot consume the entire stalk as sold before it goes bad. Lettuce same thing. Now say 3-4 sticks of celery or a quarter head of lettuce? That would be great! And the price? I would not mind a minor increase in price per pound, after all look at my current loss due to spoilage. And rest assured, I am not unique. I am certain the rest of the stalk or the lettuce head will sell to others who share my problem.

Lady in liquor department has bad attitude, I was joking and said not selling much budlight light. And thing is I'm in there 4 days a week she see me all the time.. Guess it's time to go to fry's the drive is farther but will be worth it..

I have two complaints.On Friday, I went to the Safeway in Sedona, Arizona, where I live, and they had not a single egg or any milk. And when I say any milk I mean not a quart, not a half gallon, not a gallon, of any milk. I returned today, Sunday, and there are still no eggs. I asked one of the workers and he went in the back and then returned and said they have none. Two trips to your store, and no eggs.My second complaint is the electronic coupons. They hardly work and I’m tired of standing in an aisle and scanning a digital coupon, and being told by the app that the item doesn’t exist. I’ve even had one of the assistant managers work with it and couldn’t get it to figure out the item. Your digital coupons are so annoying.

The Safeway at west Valencia in Tucson , Az is always out of stuff when I get there even at noon . If there's a sale someone always buys everything up , so it's always gone for anyone else that comes in later .Like here is one example when your icecream was on sale., there wasn't even left.. I have ve a picture, but I guess I can send it.

Have been shopping local Safeways 43 years. HATE your ads requiring that stupid phone app. Give everyone the sale prices or have no deals. Rarely get the discount. Have to go to mgr.

Why in the last 45 days have I only been able to LOGON to SAFEWAY or ALBERTSONS TWICE for PICKUP?I get either: 403 ACCESS FORBIDDEN" from ALBERTSONS or "we are having technical difficulties" from SAFEWAY?

After taking 2 buses to your store located at 926 E Southern Ave, Tempe. Upon arrival, no electric scooters. Courtesy Desk says the ONE scooter they had was broken. HTF am I supposed to shop? I enjoy getting out of my house and the day I need to shop I cant because no scooter available. Yes I could online shop but Id much rather get out of my house & choose my own groceries. Thanks for nothing Safeway. You dont accommodate people with special needs well at all.
