I love this store! I can spend hours looking at their great fabrics available ... tons of them. Great service and machine repair/service. Huge variety of sewing/quilting/embroidery machines.

This was my very first time in the store with my step mom who goes to this store all the time and my grandmother who’s visited this store 3 times and never had any issues before very nice store and very nice materials and Jack is absolutely amazing. The girl at the check out seemed new and didn’t even greet us when we walked up to check out and was very rude cause we made a purchase with an account and used the 30% off coupon and we were wanting to use the same account but use another coupon because both me and my grandmother are from out of town. Instead of trying to offer to create an account and make the sell for the store wanted to argue and also argue with the manager and said she needed to go to the back to talk to the owner and came back with an even worse attitude cause she had to let us use the coupon. My stepmom goes there all the time and has spent a lot of time and money in this store. I feel that that girl needs to be in a different area or not work in customer service cause she doesn’t know how to treat people and customers correctly she’s lucky I didn’t get in to and argument with her in the store and get her in trouble she needs to be talked to. She didn’t have a name tag on so I do not know her name but she was a young African American woman that was very rude.

Wow. Just spent 3 hours at this place getting schooled by Fran and Carolyn! It was amazing. I didn't even know what i didn't know. They are so knowledgeable and helpful...I ended up buying two machines. Good selection of machines and fabric. Really nice employees. Now I just need to make something fabulous for my partner to justify the two purchases. Open to suggestions.

This place is huge! And it looks like it has everything. Plus there are some great people there, like Rose & Jackie.

If I could give -10 rating, I would do it I open my machine. Granted I haven't so much in the past year. I've been working so I serviced my machine a year ago and got it back of your ago and haven't opened it. I just opened it and they swapped out my parts. I have a very vintage working and in good standing 1955 white sewing machine. Shortly after picking it up, I noticed that the handle on the case broke which wasn't breaking when it was brought in. The parts, multiple feet and stitching options with small repair kit, has been swapped out for other machine parts and I am really pissed. And reading past reviews I believe I will get no where with the service department, this was my grandmother's machine and I have kept it for many years and I can't believe anybody has the conscious to do something like this and rip somebody off. I'm gonna have to take them to civil court. This is unacceptable and I can prove it. My phone has pre pics day of drop off, thank you modern technology! Stay away from this place, it SUCKS!

Turned my sewing machine in for a simple repair in February 10,2023. I was told 6 weeks turn around. At 6 weeks, I called to check status and was told they were working on turn ins from the end of January '23 and to expect it in a week. It's now April 10,2023 and it's still not ready! I'm not a satisfied customer and don't recommend using them!

I went in for a very short visit. I wanted to see what they had available in the Elna brand sewing machine. I was shown what she had and she had plenty in stock and she had the low range all the way up to the top range.

Great sewing machines, fabric, notions selection. Associates are extremely helpful in sharing their knowledge and advice. I always find inspiration for my next quilting project while looking at the variety of displays. I highly recommend shopping at 35th Ave Sew & Vac when in the need for fabric or any sewing tools.

I was so happy to find another quilt store, especially such a large one, and also one that can do annual maintenance on my sewing machine. Well that has changed, and my concerns/complaints align with many of the other 1 star reviews. Years ago I bought a Baby Lock sewing machine and Jan was fabulous and the lady who taught me the machine classes was also, but then when you decide to buy fabric is all changes. The ladies at the cutting table are complaining openly about customers and just everything. The first time I wanted to have fabric cut, I was standing off to the side, being ignored until one of the ladies snapped at me to stand under the sign. Since there wasn't a line she could have just cut my fabric and advised me nicely of where to get in line next time. I recently went in, which will be my last time, and I made the mistake of asking Joni if they had any Minky. She sighed and rolled her eyes and said "It is not Minky, it is called Cuddle". This store is so negative, and the experience of being creative is just dashed by the employees' poor attitudes.

No I'm not a person who sews. The extent of my sewing is being able to sew a button back on my shirt. We mostly use this place for replenishing the vacuum cleaner bags, and they do have a good amount of them for any type of vacuum cleaner you might have. I should mention that my wife did get her sewing machine repaired here and they did an excellent job. You just can't replace an older Singer sewing machine as part on those older machines are of better quality, as we were told by the repairman. Over the years I noticed the name has changed. Used to just be 35th Ave Sew and Vac, and used to be located on the other side of this strip mall facing 35th Avenue. They moved to this location over a decade ago, taking over the space the Goodwill Store occupied, and believe me they needed the space. I must admit they have a great selection of material for the sewing enthusiast as well as other items needed for sewing. Like any place you have to pay attention to the prices as fabric can be pricey. They do have some fabric that is on discount. They carry a huge selection of sewing machines as well as a good selection of vacuum cleaners. I noticed they have a room where they probably hold sewing classes if that is your thing. Every time I have visited here I feel like I am the only guy here except for the guys that work on repairs and work on talking to you about vacuum cleaners. I must say that their employees are very polite and pretty much let you roam around even you don't buy anything. I believe they have other stores in the Valley so you will have to check on your. Other than this you will have to check it out on your own.

Found this place for my mom when I was in Phoenix over the holidays. Her 40 year old BEAM central vacuum system was falling apart. Tapping around online, it was looking like a $500+ replacement. We gave this place a shot and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service! John helped us in vacuums. So knowledgeable! So nice! Replaced the cuffs on the hoses, set us up with a new brush, and we were out the door for less than $80. Got it home and everything works like new.
