I don’t know what has happened to this bank, or maybe a change of hand in its employees but the lack of care, empathy and willingness to understand was an absolute joke. I have held an account with this bank for more than 15 years. I stopped using it some time ago and kept the account, there was payments that processed out of no where that weren’t authorized, caused over draft fees etc and it was resolved in June. Last I heard from, saw or spoke to anyone. Today over 5 months later I’m getting another calls saying oh we need to get this x amount of over draft fees handled triple the amount from prior and no they aren’t fixing it. Then the manager Patrick continued to get on the line to carelessly remediate the situation by closing the account and removing the fees. The tenure of your membership didn’t mean a thing, or was not valued, there was no resolution of a stop payment or protection of my account from the bank. Just hungry for fees that never should have been there to begin with. Patrick if you’re reading this, you should learn to value your consumers, wether there is money in the account or not your lack of professionalism, your lack of leadership and communication was fully present. You are clearly there for the wrong reasons, and do not enjoy your job. If you can not be in customer service, and in leadership to do the right thing and resolve your consumers banking issues…. Do the next person who walks into that bank a favor and find a new career.

I have just received the best customer service ever from Serina S. at SunWest. She was attentive and listened to my situation then clarified what I was asking then proceeded to address each one patiently and with sincere empathy. At the end of that process, she asked so nicely if I knew about some products that could maximize my earnings. She then explained in understandable language, all the options. She was able to make fixes in realtime, and ask each time had all my concerns been addressed and fixed. All the issues had been, and more that I had been needing to look into. She is so knowledgeable about SW products and service, but more importantly she is kind and sincere. That just is not the norm now a days. I cannot express how grateful I am that she was there to help me today. What an asset to SunWest Serina S is. She truly does her job with empathy and respect for the human on the other end of the line. She will always be the reason customers stay and the reason I will recommend Sunwest.

For the worst customer service, look no further than SUNWEST Federal Credit Union. I have been a member for over 25 years, but my last banking experience was the worst. After looking at the transaction for over an hour I still can not figure out what on earth they did. I walked in with a check to pay off my car loan, great right!After she looked at the check for 10 minutes she decided to run it through, now mind you it says right on the check to pay for my car loan. She looks up now and says what do I want to do with the money. I stated it was to pay off my car loan. Now after waiting another 15 minutes, I am on my way. Unknown to me she put a 2 day hold on the check, then she cleared out my checking account leaving me a 0.00 balance, than took the remaining balance for my car loan out of my savings account. I believe even Einstein would have an issue with this math she performed. She never said a word to me about how she completed this mind blowing transaction. She let me leave the bank with a 0.00 balance, and I had plenty in my savings account.But wait, the story continues when I call the bank in the morning, for I imagine an hour long conversation...trying to figure this out.All she would, could, should say was there is a 2 day hold on this check. Duh

Ok all I can say is wow wow wow!!!! Gladys Sanchez is beyond amazing. This young lady sets the bar so high for customer service. She is excellent at her job. She is knowledgeable and friendly, funny and proficient. It was so easy. She walked us through everything. I have had many loans with SunWest over 20 years but this one was an outstanding experience. I recently used Sunwest for a Home Equity loan. Ofelia Delgado walked me through the whole process. She was AMAZING!. Answered all of my questions. Gave all of my options. She made it so simple. She handled everything from application, requesting documents, setting up signing, even called when funded. Kept me informed every step of the way. Easiest process I have ever experienced. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sunwest to anyone. Thank you so much Ofelia!

Gladys at Arrowhead Branch was professional, kind, and informative. Upon entrance she greeted us and I asked if we could open a checking account for my son, it was his 16th birthday. She made us feel very comfortable and explained all questions we had. Thank you Gladys!?

Wow this place is awesome they are incredibly friendly staff and they will do anything to get you a good deal on whatever you're looking for. I spoke to Sally she is an absolute treasure. Any questions I had she was willing to answer them over the phone and continue to assure me that I was not bothering her even though I called 100 times! more employees like her and experiences like this are why I think this business should gain your favor! Ask for sally, you won't regret it!

I was on vacation in Hawaii and realized my debit card was racking up unauthorized charges. I called and was blessed to have made contact with Sara P. She put my mind at ease, shut my card off, disputed the charges and started the process to send me a new card all within our short phone call! She also was ready to guide me to local credit union that had shared branching so I would have enough cash for the remainder of my vacation! She was friendly, professional, efficient and most importantly I could hear her smile! It’s people like Sara that makes me a happy Sunwest member!

I Sara Renee did for me was incredible. I have spoken to several SunWest people and sadly to say no one was able to help me with accessing my SunWest Account until I spoke with Sara Renee. She has skill sets that she been looked at when promoting people to upper management. My problem was getting into my SunWest Account to check balances and the app. Was rejecting every time I would try to access my account. This CU engages in a disparate impact form of discrimination and does not provide complete disclosure of the rules. You only find out about this AFTER your account is open and you're denied access to services because you're not the "right" kind of customer. Online Banking | SunWest Credit Union (mysunwest.com) I'd read this webpage before opening my account. They have mobile deposit. However what it doesn't tell you is that you have to have a checking account (only available to those that are worthy) and have a direct deposit of $400 (I work as a landscaper so that should tip you off as to my ethnicity, and the fact I'm never going to have direct deposit). Besides that, if I had access to direct deposit, it wouldn't be so ticked that I'm excluded from using mobile deposit because I would really benefit from being able to deposit my pay through the phone. I called and complained about the way SunWest's criteria adversely affects Mexican landscapers, but they didn't much care. I was also told, "no bank lets you do mobile deposit into a savings account." That was a lie. I now have an account at Vantage West, and they let you do mobile deposit to a savings account. All customers should have access to mobile deposit regardless of product mix until the customer does something to demonstrate that their actions pose a risk of loss to the CU. Had things been fully disclosed on the webpage, I'd have never set foot in the building.
