**MY RESPONSE TO SALVATION ARMY'S RESPONSE**Why don't you simply hire people that will take the time to sort the clothes by small, medium, large, etc... so your customers don't have to go through every shirt just to find their size?***orig post below***Went in today and asked one of the workers if they hire 16 year olds and she said no 18 was the minimum age. I then asked how they sorted the shirts and she said by color. I asked if they also sorted by size and shockingly she said no. Maybe in a couple of years when my kid is old enough, he can work there and do the job right. No wonder the parking lot is bare.

Absolutely horrible location. I went to shop and halfway thru I needed to use the restroom the awful lying manager Carol said they were cleaning the restroom. I was in a car accident and I lost all of my teeth until I heal also I have terminal cancer I'm sure I looked a mess or drug addiction. I am not and that woman judged me and prevented me a common human need. How sad salvation army I thought you were God based. That woman should be supervised and observed.

I always find great stuff when i go. I refuse to donate to Goodwill after learning they sell online stuff like a Prada purse for 1, 025. So they get the really good stuff before anyone gets to see it. Not my kind of charity. Salvation army really is charity.

They are very helpful, but I think people abuse the charity by expecting them to take anything and everything people want to discard. I think the Salvation Army is such a worthy cause. And it's so good to know that most of the profits made in their stores is used for those less fortunate. It's not like other charities where the top administrative staff takes a huge cut from the donations made. I Io

The plastic tags they use on clothing are so thick they leave big holes depending on the material of clothing. I suggest they put the plastic tags in the tag of the clothing. I'd say the prices of jeans here are pretty pricey compared to other thrift stores. The woman named Laura was pretty rude to me she was not welcoming at all.

There were a few things that would be cheaper elsewhere like art/office supplies... ie $2 for 70 page spiral notebook isn't a bargain. But I did find expensive shoes at a fraction of market price. I wouldn't go out of my way to get here but I'm glad I went when I did.

My uncle was in the war. He and his buddy were in a fox hole couldn't get out. Frozen. The salvation Army was there to help them and they gave them hot coffee and donuts while he said another agency was getting money from veterans to help them. He always told me to donate my used stuff to them so they can help others. The store on Grand Ave very clean and the employees very friendly!

This store "No Return" policy is hard to understand when they also have locked all the fitting rooms and restrooms, leaving a customer no place to try on anything. When I asked an employ what I could do the young woman was very rude. So don't shop there.

I drove half an hour only for them to be closed an hour earlier than their posted hours.

I called before hand because I wanted to donate some furniture. We had been storing this furniture for a year and it was costing us more to store than replace. When I called they told me that they closed the donation center at 3. My husband and his friend took the things and they told them they were closing soon (it was 11 am) and that they would need to go through all donations before accepting them in case the furniture had scratches or anything like that. I understand that people leave trash there but we literally only had big pieces of furniture to donate and they were all in great condition since it was all our furniture. Seemed like 1 they just didn't really want to work and 2 this was a huge donation. We ended up just donating it at goodwill. We only rented the uhaul for 8 hours so we just had to find a place to donate the items, it was honestly just frustrating.

Oscar is in the wrong position with the salvation army. He should be in a position where actual contact with customers/clients/donors is avoided. Got so upset, didn't leave anything and went to Restore.

This is definitely in my top 5 places to thrift. They are always so friendly and the store is well maintained, very clean and organized and the prices are always as they should be. Thank you for all you do.
