I recently went to Banfield and wanted to set an appointment for my new kitten. My appointment had been shuffled around for weeks; yes I changed it once, but that is no reason for the other things that happened. I wasn’t getting notifications for the appointment I tried multiple times trying to set up. but I did get notifications for ones that I didn’t approve :/. I decided that I NEEDED confidence in my animals care, I could not use them; they could not schedule an appointment correctly. I am a firm believer that business models and attitude start at the top. All problems start there and trickle down. I decided to pay more money instead of trying to save it. My animals are important to me, no amount of money is going to ever replace them. If I have to pay more money to get quality care and compassionate treatment for myself or my pets, then that is what I will do. Ensuring their vitality is necessary, so I went to Peoria Animal Hospital. My animals and their interaction with me was a priority. Chris, a wonderful being, is considerate, funny and relatable. For myself, I wish there were more people with her attitude and manner of compassion and humor. Her concern and empathy, all of these things you cannot teach a person, only role modeling it for them is the best one can do. Chris and all techs on the team share their joy in the work they do. You can feel it when you talk to them, you can see it when they speak to your pet or other clients and their pets. The ambiance is comfortable and calm yet there is urgency, consideration and attention to detail. When speaking to the doctors, They don’t secret away new discoveries or information that is vital to caring for your pets. They share all information that is beneficial for people and their pets. The more informed we are, we’re better able to act on behalf of our beloved fur babies, caring for them to the best of our ability. Peoria animal hospital is well worth your money and time. For some, some peace at heart. The level of care and undivided attention they provide you and your pet is peace of mind in itself. Consider this thought, If you’re paying less, you’re probably getting less. I’m not sacrificing my animals well being for money that I can earn more of. Peoria Animal Hospital provides compassionate and considerate care. I will not waste my time anywhere else. Their prices are reasonable. Everyone always just wants to pay less for more. But when it’s your animal that cannot speak to you, I will gladly pay them what they are asking. Give them a chance.

This place started off great, and Dr Satkis is the best…no complaints there. As soon as I started being seen by the female Dr is when things went downhill. On my last visit I warned them that my dog was starting to shown signs of aggression when they go around his face. On that visit my dog snapped at the vet and she rudely came back to tell me he bit then proceeded to tell me to book another appointment the following week and to purchase $200 in sedative pills so he is more relaxed on this next visit. Come next visit they tell me he is still stressed and want to charge me more money to inject him with a stronger sedative. This should have been the FiRST option! NO consideration that I am once again taking time off of work for this extra visit and still no blood drawn. I’m pulling my pets from this place and would not recommend Dr. R to see your pets.

For many years I adopted senior dogs. Many of them had life-threatening health issues. My passion was to give them the best life possible for whatever time they had left. Dr. Satkus, his veterinarian team and the entire staff at Peoria Animal Hospital was always there for me, providing medical services and true compassion during my grief as my furry friends crossed over the rainbow bridge. For the last three years, I have rescued feral kittens abandoned by the mother cat. Dr. Satkus and his team helped to educate me in the care and medical needs of small kittens. I have been a client of Peoria Animal Hospital for 19 years, as of 2024. I highly recommend them.

These guys are crooks of the game. It was like I was at shady mechanic shop. Told me 400 for procedure then I get here and it’s $700. Then wife comes by and pays entire bill and they 50 more for another charge. I don’t leave reviews but I also heard other customers asking about crazy charges on their bill. No stars and never to return. Also not great at handling dogs she drug mine out by his neck and handed me cone and said here ya go!!!!

Took our dog there to get her vaccines up to date. The staff was extremely friendly, they treated both my dog and me like we were the most important thing they had going today. I'm sure their niceties helped make my dog the best behaved girl today. She got her vaccines and had a pedicure without so much as a whimper. I highly recommend this veterinarian office.

If I could give zero stars I would. I use to go to Peoria Animal Hospital years ago. I stopped and started going to a different vet. I decided to give them another chance. I went in with my 8 week old GSD. It was my mandatory 72 hours to have her seen by a vet by the terms of my contract with my breeder. I went in and put my fresh clean pee pads down on their exam table to protect my 8 week 3 day old puppy that is not fully vaccinated yet. The vet tech was very nice and professional and did not have a problem with me doing this. While talking to the vet tech I told her the breeder suggested a UTI test on her because some female puppies can have a UTI. Then the vet came in picked my puppy up and threw away the clean pee pads in a belligerent manner asked why I wanted a UTI exam. She then asked what kind of dog food I was feeding her. I told her the brand and said it was recommended by the breeder. She told me that she and I were never going to talk about the breeder again. All conversations will be between her and I. Then she went on to say she was underweight. I only had her for less than 3 days. She was from a large litter. In my opinion the vet at Peoria Animal Hospital was unprofessional and rude.I now remember why I stopped going to Peoria Animal Hospital. I WILL NOT MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN!!! I rarely if ever write bad reviews, but this vet had me so angry I made an exception this time. I would NOT take my animal there if they did it for free.

I have been bringing my pets to Peoria Animal Hospital for many years. I started with their old location long before their new, modern facility was built. The doctors and staff are wonderful, knowledgeable, caring people. I highly recommend them for excellent care.
