We use Joe's for our company vehicles at LSI. We have been very happy with this shop which is local to our location. They are honest and fairly priced and have been great to work with so far. Will continue using them for the very near future!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
This is our 1st time at Joe's Auto in Peoria and we are very satisfied.
My grand daughter's used car she bought in September, the check engine light was on previously and engine was running rough and had intermitting brake issue. Murat (Tech) was able to find the codes, diagnosed the PCV assembly and spark plugs. Manager Mike explained to me the PCV functionality. They also replaced the Control arms to address the brake issues. In the initial report they also found loose bolts on the alternator and a loose oil plug bolt causing oil to seep. They tighten the bolts to recommended specs. My granddaughter says the car running smooth and no braking issues.
Thank you Mike and Murat!

I have given this location and one other all the chances anyone could imagine giving a business with questionable ethics and practices. I had the radiator replaced in my vehicle by the Avondale location. A less than pleasant experience to say the least. Less than a year later, my transmission starts to fail. I eventually took it to the Peoria location due to a coolant leak that should be replaced by the warranty provided with the radiator repair. I also made them aware my vehicle did not function in reverse. This is relevant - trust me. They tighten a clamp and send me on my way. Not even a week later, most of the coolant has leaked out. I take it back to the Peoria location who did the "clamp tightening". This time they state they replaced the "antiquate" clamps that should only be as old as the radiator repair completed less than 2 years prior too. Things seem okay so I am happy as no more coolant leaks. Upon doing so much needed research as they wanted a large some of money and several days to "inspect and diagnose" my transmission problem, it is discovered that the radiator failure is what caused the transmission failure. I drive a Nissan and this is a well known failure with repair facilities though I was not made aware of it until I did my own research. When the radiator "burst" it sent coolant/water into the transmission fluid. I had the vehicle at that shop for oil changes after the coolant leak repair. Keep in mind, they know where the radiator was replaced and they also should know the cause of the transmission issue. I was not made aware of the need to check the transmission fluid contamination at the time of the radiator replacement or with any subsequent repairs. I took the vehicle in for an oil change in May. I paid extra to have the fluids topped off including transmission and coolant. Shortly after this work was done, I noticed the temp gauge was not registering. I open the hood and the reservoir tank is virtually empty. I had the vehicle running to temp and filled with coolant at which point the gauge began registering. I also opted to check the other fluid levels which I knew should be fine as I do check them on a regular basis. What I also observed at this time was that the dipstick for the transmission fluid was not fully installed but somewhat "hanging out". I proceeded to make sure there was fluid registering and fully installed the dipstick. Not even two weeks after that, the coolant is very low again. I have now filled this with about a gallon of coolant, and it is coming up on two months since having the oil change complete along with the extra paid to have the fluids topped off and the tires rotated. I failed to mark them so I am not sure if that happened or not. I do know the fluids were not cared for as needed and was not made aware of the temp gauge being inop thought it is if it is able to register a proper coolant level. I have reached out to Joe's Auto asking for proof the transmission coolant was tested or that I waived any further repairs (which I did not) and I have not heard from them via phone or email which was my method of contact. At this point in time, I need things in writing and not verbal as that is about as useful as thinking that Mike is a mechanic of any sort and the words spoken are fact. I was told I needed an $800 break job done, $180 to pressure wash the engine compartment so they could inspect/diag the transmission issue. I wonder why the dipstick was not fully installed....... $180 for a pressure wash from a repair facility is rather pricey when a detailer could do it for less than 1/2 the price but would not think to check for the dipstick not being fully installed......
