Our Wynstan came to us through a rehoming situation. He had been taught a few things as far as obedience goes but not much else. He was a good dog and very sweet. He was however, just under 2 years old and still a puppy.
He pulled when walking, he would try to run after things in the park. He was never bad his biting instinct as a puppy was mostly gone.
As good as he was we needed help. He was starting to bark at everything & everyone that would pass our front gate.
Like other reviewers, I had a very hard time thinking of him being gone for 3 weeks. He had been with us every day since he became hours, so I was worried he might think we were leaving him too.
Jenzi explained why her board and train is for the dog to let go of bad habits and learn good ones. She assured us he will learn how to be happier. I understood then that when a dog has structure they are happier.
She also kept in touch during the three weeks, with pictures and updates about what Wynstan was learning.
At the end of the three weeks when it was time for us to pick up Wynstan, we were shown the things he had learned. Then it was time for us to continue his journey.
Jenzi explained it all and taught us what we should do and most importantly why we should do it.
We have been quite pleased with how Wynstan is far more relaxed and calm.
We are very happy with Jenzi, her methods, and how well she took care of our Wynstan.

If you need to train a service dog in AZ then this is the trainer you should pick! I tried multiple trainers across the valley and none of them were able to offer the advanced training services I needed. Violet (my dog) has always struggled with her emotional regulation but Jenzi was able to help her. Now she is less stressed, more confident, and is able to confidently do public access training.

Our 2 year old rescue dog, Ziggy, was the perfect fit for our family. He loved to walk, loved to play, and loved attention from our 8 year old. However, he was very reactive to guests and during walks. He pulled so hard on the leash that I would have to hold on with two hands. A friend recommended Jenzi and everything has changed. She helped us understand that Ziggy was functioning in a ‘frenzied’ mode and was never truly able to calm down. After his 3 weeks with her, he is able to turn off and ignore nearly all of the things that used to set him off. Jenzi taught us that calm equals content…and that’s Ziggy’s new mode. I can’t say enough about Jenzi’s board and train program. We learned so much from her including all of the most recent research. We now feel better able to help Ziggy on our own…and of course she’s always here for support.

So, I was initally nervous being away from my puppy for 3 weeks. After speaking with Jenzi about my concerns, my puppy's personality, I felt at ease.
Once I dropped Beans at Jenzi's home, I knew this magnificant creature would be loved! Get K9 Training isn't a run of the mill 3 week training camp! It's a home!
Jenzi took the time & patience with Beans to make her part of the family. Jenzi also took her time with me, making sure I understood not only Beans goals, but my own!
Beans came home happy, confident and most importantly to me, not "broken". She's still Beans, but a better Beans!
I can't thank, Jenzi & her family enough! Personally, I got more training than Beans! I couldn't be happier with the results!

I cannot rave enough about Jenzi & all she can do! I did a lot of research of where to board & train my 9month puppy, different training styles & environments - but nothing beats Jenzi. She has her own pack that is a first hand result of her training skills & knowledge. She is well priced & detailed. The difference I saw was night & day. Jenzi also gives you a game plan for the next year to get the best results for your dog. She is also available anytime I have a question. She helped with the transaction. I just cannot say enough! Such a plethora of services. She now also boards my dog when I am traveling. I cannot wait to enroll my dog in her swimming lessons once it warms up.

Let me start off by saying that much like many owners, I was very apprehensive on sending my reactive dog away to training. Man, oh man did I make the right choice to go through with sending her to GET K9 Training.Indy, my 1.5 year old chocolate lab SDIT had developed some reactivity and despite my best efforts to train her out of it, nothing was working and I considered washing her from Public Access and Service dog work. This program was my last hope. Indy went to stay with Jenzi for 3 weeks. During that time I was given daily updates about how she was doing with training, what she was working on, and how she was doing. After the 3 weeks when it was finally time to go home, Indy was a changed dog. Not only was her reactivity SOOO much better, but she came home with all of her basic obedience proofed and more solid than its ever been. Because of this fantastic program, my SDIT is back to public access and continuing her training to become my service dog. About a week after training I had some issues with Indy in which Jenzi was so fast and helpful in responding to help me as well as following up to ensure the problem was getting resolved.Jenzi, if you're reading this, thank you for everything. You've given me my hope back of having my best friend by my side to help me through life!

We sent our year old Coton de Tulear to Jenzi’s three week board and train program. We are so pleased with the improvement in our pup’s behavior. She is now a pleasure to walk, and she waits at the door without dashing out ahead of us. We are also able to eat dinner peacefully while she zones out in her “place”. I didn’t realize how much anxiety I was carrying over her behavior until we got her home and experienced the changes. Thank you, Jenzi!

Our Mya just spent 3 weeks with Jenzi and came home a different puppy. Before training, we couldn’t walk anywhere without her running and jumping on us, counter surfing and chewing up anything she could reach and just running crazy around the house(which I referred to her as “ psycho dog”. She now listens, has a great off switch and we can walk her without her walking us. Thank you Jenzi for training Mya and teaching us on how to continue that training.

Our 6mos old English Bulldog spent 3 weeks with Jenzi, we would highly recommend her program. He was a smart boy to begin with but needed a little guidance & her program did not disappoint. He is still a puppy and like with puppies they will see how far they can push the limits. However, now he is able to self settle down with the correct commands & is doing great at home. One of the things we really liked is Jenzi doesn’t just train the dog & send them home, she takes the time to train the owner so that the dog does not revert to old habits. You will not be disappointed with this service.

My dog Jackson struggles with anxiety and has for his entire life. My vet recommended a behaviorist rather than medication and after a weekend getaway that ended with me leaving angry and sad that Jackson's the way he is I decided it was time for professional help. From the first conversation with Jenzi I was confident that she could help Jackson, plus she didn't hang up even after telling her all of his issues! For 3 weeks he learned how to chill out and access his internal off switch. Car rides are no longer screaming fits that last until we reach our destination, he no longer charges at the TV when there's animals or animal sounds. He is calmer and a much more enjoyable dog to be around. I used to dread road trips because of the non stop screaming, but not any more. I am writing this review on our way to San Diego and this is the first time my husband and I have been able to carry on a conversation while Jackson's in the car. Jenzi has worked a miracle with Jackson, and I highly recommend her for any dog training needs. She is professional, responds in a timely manner and works absolute magic with dogs!

We highly recommend Jenzi and Get K9 Training. Our dog came back a new dog, a better dog. She gave us the tools to work with him so he can continue to improve. Besides being an Excellent trainer she loves dogs.Highly recommended.

My entire experience with Jenzi has been nothing less than phenomenal. I was needing helping with my service dog after had a few incidents resulting in fear based reactivity. Jenzi was able to analyze all of Lunas behavior, noticing that she was actually noise sensitive to the environments that had her biggest triggers. I’m now able to communicate in the most effective way possible with my dog the way SHE communicates, along with having a life long helper in the process of dog training. Jenzi was more than willing to answer any and all questions I had, along with keeping me updated throughout the entire process. Luna was unsure of people and I honestly didn’t expect her to trust Jenzi right away, but she instantly did! I would never had seen such drastic changes with any other trainer. (And trust me. We tried a few) I’m extremely appreciative of Jenzi and all the work she put in to have my happy and balanced dog back.

Three weeks of trainingTwo standard poodlesOne great trainerWe've two standards aged 1 and 6.The older dog had been good on trails, but never great, had been okay on walks, but far from well mannered if a surprise popped up. He had been kept home too long and was no longer manageable outside the home. Even in the home he alarm barked more often than not and had no self confidence at all around other dogs or some humans.The younger dog was a COVID pup that had never been socialized due to our staying at home for a year and was afraid of everything.We did our research, interviewed various trainers, followed up with referrals provided and made our selection.The dogs were individually boarded and trained by Jenzi at Great Expectations K9 Training for three weeks. During training she stayed in contact with us via text, inviting questions and updating her social media with videos, photos and comments on how they were as well. We received feedback and saw the progress they were making every few days. Near the end of the first board and train we had a video conference with Jenzi where she explained where the older dog was with training, how we would be continuing once we picked them up and answered numerous questions.When it was time, we dropped off the younger pup and picked up the older dog. At the pickup session she spent time walking us through what we discussed during our conference and doing real world demonstrations with the dog both inside and outside.We returned home with the older dog and instantly noticed the tremendous progress. Listening, was focused, understood how to self regulate if anxious and was happier all around.We've kept up with reenforcement at home and have seen more than we thought possible.Three weeks after the first pickup we had the same experience when that training was complete for the younger pup.The change on this one was less dramatic as they had different issues going in and while puppy-like, still has made incredible gains in behavior.Post-training, Jenzi offers daycamp and overnight boarding as well. Today is the first day for them both to go back to see her. Instant recognition and once inside they immediately went to place.I'm thrilled.Great communication, excellent updates and demonstrations on social media along with a great program and follow up have led to a wonderful change in my dogs.Yes, they still love to snuggle and play but they also know how to readily go to work. If they are told to come, sit, place, down they do.No questions or hesitation.Thank you Jenzi!
