Its pretty incredible to me to see so many people write negative reviews about their experience here. I've found that it has less to do with the people administering care and more to do with the fact that their beloved pets are in need and sometimes, that doesn't work out the way we'd like it to.I recently brought one of our Doberman's in here because she has sustained a laceration to her mouth and was bleeding profusely. After rushing her to the back (before they are even technically open), they explained to me that with the severity of the bleeding, they recommended I bring her to a hospital ASAP. I did so and fortunately the bleeding slowed enough at the hospital to get a diagnosis and care plan. I called Banfield back with the care plan and they told me to bring my girl back in there and they would take care of her needs (at half the price). They were absolutely slammed with appointments all day but they still agreed to help and likely stayed late because of it.My experience with the entire staff was that of people who actually cared about our pets care as well as the impact it has on the owner's wallet. I am very appreciative of Banfield.

Love this Lake Pleasant Banfield! We have taken our 2 small dogs here for years. Recently we were leaving town and our male dog was vomiting and had diarrhea. They offered to squeeze him in the next morning and help figure out if it was something other than his typical eating of leaves and junk in the backyard that was causing the issue. Fortunately he was fine the next morning and I was able to cancel. But I greatly appreciate they were willing to squeeze him in!! They are always good with our dogs and take the time to hear what we have to say also.

Once again, I am frustrated with this place. If a person pays over $1000 for a wellness plan and brings their cat in, why do we have to ask the vet if the ears were checked? That should be part of the exam. Then I insist on having the ears swabbed to find out that my cat has ear infections. I hate that the animals are checked out of eyesight of the owners. Why? I also found out that I didn't get all the preventive services during a very pricey dental cleaning.... Is this how you all are wanting to make money...by shorting the care at the owner and pet's expense? Also, seriously, $49 for ear cleaning solution. That is highway robbery. Time to find a new veterinarian clinic that won't make a customer remind the vets about how to do a thorough exam. This wasn't the first time this happened. (Note: The vet techs were great.)

It is always nervy to bring your pet in for surgery. It was just a routine spay procedure but this is our baby. They get it. Banfield walked us through every step and took great care of her. Thanks!

I recently visited Banfield, and while the clinical care was satisfactory, I couldn't help but become troubled by the interactions between the manager and the staff. While seated in the waiting area, I couldn't ignore the unprofessional and shameful behavior that unfolded before me, clearly causing discomfort among the staff. Such conduct is not only highly disheartening but also worrisome. We should never speak to others as she spoke to her team. This “manager” does not exemplify what it means to be a leader. It is essential to foster a positive and respectful workplace for the well-being of both employees and clients. I sincerely hope management takes the necessary steps to address this issue and enhance the environment. I will not be returning to this hospital and hope that this does not go unaddressed for the sake of the staff and Banfield, as this could easily be a legal liability.

Down grading my rating. We've been Banfield customers for years, and with several dogs.We are going to cancel our wellness plan. Recently I needed to bring our dog in because she was sick, and the nearest appointment was a week out. We actually tried four different locations. They told me if it was urgent to see an emergency vet at my additional cost. What is the point of paying for care if you can't get in when you need it?Secondarily, they are not respectful of MY time. I was on time for my pet drop off, and waited 20+ minutes in a room for a tech to come in, plus another 10+ going over everything. They told me I could pick her up at two thirty, I arrived on time and paid then waited ALMOST 30 minutes for the vet to come out and speak with me and bring my dog out. That only happened after I went and asked them how much longer was gonna be. They wasted almost an hour of my time unnecessarily today and made me late for my afternoon meeting at work. I understand that things happen, But make me wait so long twice in the same day is just unacceptable to me.

Go here all the time. Getting tired of them telling you you have an 8:30 drop off appt. Can’t give you any idea how long it will take for just a wellness check!! Seems they should know their schedule better than they do!!! Dropped our dog off at 8:30, again for wellness check. It’s now approaching 1:30. We have another engagement at 2:00. They are unrealistic!!!! Not happy with their lack of a schedule and lack of communication.

My dog had an ultrasound scheduled. The appointment could not be found in the system. The front desk clerk was able to setup the appointment. My dog was checked in around 7:50 a.m. and I was informed by the nurse that the ultrasound doctor would be by later that morning. I was surprised by the cost difference—initially I was told $350 and now it wad $500. I called back around 2:30 pm to check in any was told the doctor hadn’t been in yet but that she’d be another hour or so. It sounded as if they weren’t sure. 3:30 p.m. the doctor still was not there and the staff was not certain when she’s be there. The staff blamed the delays on the fact that the doctor is a third party and she had a few emergencies. This situation was frustrating, for $500 the doctor should commit to an appointment. Instead my dog had to go without food for 12 plus hours and be stuck in a cage for 8 hours. I wasted most my day, if I was told the reality of this appointment I would have passed. Poor communication from the Banfield staff and lack of responsibility from the doctor and the hospital.

Rude! They convince you to do their puppy plans to scam you out of money then conveniently never have appointments available!

If I could give this Banfield location a 0 I absolutely would! I have three dogs on wellness plans here and the staff doesn't seem to care at all about anyone's pets, appts are nearly impossible to make, and all the additional charges is ridiculous. I took my dogs in because of tummy issues, they proceeded to teat for multiple things which they told me they were going to do but never once discussed the cost. Because it wasn't brought up I assumed it was included in the puppy wellness plan. Well it wasn't. When my husband called to discuss this the vet assistant that helped me insisted that I was lying and that she discussed all the costs with me. ( it was never brought up) not even to have her nails trimmed which Banfield I went to in Gilbert, never once charged me, I was charged 20 to clip her nails and they didn't even bother to tell me there was a charge for that. They do unnecessary tests by scaring you into it by using your fur babies it's disgusting. I will not use their services any longer!

I signed up for the Wellness plan for my aging dog Dexter. They sold me on this because of the teeth cleaning and other things dogs need as they age. They sold it that it saved money and covered many of the services. They never said that if and when your pet passes you have to complete the contact for that current year or pay more for any services provided this far for the year. A couple months ago Dexter had developed a large mass on his organs that was noticeable on his abdomen. I took him in and they did tests that cost me over $800 out of pocket that weren't covered in the plan. Then they wanted to do a biopsy that was another large sum of money. I decided not to do that because he was fifteen and I didn't want to put him through more pain. I took him home and two months later I knew it was time. I took him to Banfield paid over $150 to put him down since that was not covered completely either. Then I tried to cancel the plan since he was gone. They want now $550 to cancel the plan. This is bad business. Do not get talked into this plan. Find good vets that care and don't sell you on this type of scheme.A few hours later: I called the number Lisa R sent me to try to resolve the matter. I got no where with them. They stuck to there guns and won't settle this with compassion since I was not told that the plan was not cancelable. Please think twice before you sign up for the wellness plan!
