“No sooner than both of my feet were planted firmly inside the door, here at "New Beginnings", I heard two voices say "Hello", not including the voice inside my head, and I answered back "Hello" to them. Now I was wondering if I might have been the 100th customer of the day, they were both so friendly, then they proceeded to tell me that the entire store was 25 percent off. Hmm, the voice in my head said. I said, the entire store? One of the nice ladies said, Yup, and you can buy the store for 25 percent off, if you like.... I laughed,"no thanks, maybe next time", then my quest had begun. The store was very nice and they have some great things to look at and to buy. As I went up and down and all around the ailes, admiring how clean everything was and how many nice things they had, from shoes, to clothing, dishes to nik naks, the voice in my head asked, what are you doing here? 97 percent of everything is for women. I mumbled back, Yeah, but 3 percent isn't, and what do you know, maybe my feminine side wanted to shop, so there. That shut him up, ha. I continued to browse the entire store, still noting how nice this little shop is and "Ding" I found something that really caught my eye. I removed it from the shelf, being careful not to damage it, and then I took my item to check out. The nice woman behind the counter asked, is that it? As she picked it up and then tossed it down on the counter. I cringed, said yup, paid for my item, picked it up off the counter and proceeded to the exit. Goodbye, I heard, thanks for stopping in, I said Bye, you're welcome. Right before I reached the doorknob, she said, "I hope that you enjoy your new ball cap", Thank you, I answered and out the door I went. Boy, I sure do like my new hat!Nice Place, Nice People, y'all should stop in and see what treasures await you!”

“Explored lots of thrift stores on this street and this was my favorite by far. Your purchase goes to a great cause and they their prices are VERY fair. The boutique items are a little more pricey than others, but still very reasonable for the quality of product. Found some really cool jackets and a beautiful pair of earrings for only $2.00. The staff was very friendly and I definitely recommend stopping in to benefit the humane society.”

UPDATE!!! This original review was written about a month ago & I forgot to post it!! I am happy to say the store itself has actually continued to show how wonderful they are!! The employees that have seen me there regularly will always greet me and inquire how I’m doing! Thank you for outstanding customer service Peggy, Sherry, John, Johnathon and especially Ed for your role in keeping things running so smoothly, your genuine conversations with many customers….and for carrying my stuff to the car when it’s heavy! Most of all, the wonderful things you do for the Payson Community and the lives you’ve changed with your unselfish care. Thanks”

“This thrift store holds a special place in my heart. I met a young man who wanted to share the message of Jesus Christ, God, and the Bible that he had learned after being in a severe automobile accident. U-Turn for Christ offers a safe transition for addicts who are trying to stop using and find a new way to live. He was very helpful when he worked in the store and they were always busy. I told Robert and the shop owner if Robert needed somewhere to rent he could rent from my family. We were able to get him into a program that covered his expenses. I took him in and made him part of my family. This store is supporting those in need and their recovery program is supporting those that need it. The profits made by their disposal of waste collected by the good deeds these young men do should go towards helping them succeed as well as others in financial hardship within the community. They should not go towards feeding any business or they we lose their title”

“Surprisingly lively place, the volunteers look like they work hard! They have a good system in place for paying for things with a credit card, which seems like a silly thing to notice, but I've been in my fair share of secondhand stores who don't really have that figured out. Scored an awesome piece of vintage clothing for $10. If you're looking for vintage furniture or housewares, this is a good spot!”

“I go to many Goodwill stores in the valley and this one is by far superior than all of those stores. It is clean and organized and I always find deals. I never leave empty handed!”
