I've always had great experiences at SummerWinds Nursery, and today was no exception. I called to ask a few questions about some plants I was considering, and Cheri was fantastic! She made suggestions, answered my questions, and was very friendly and knowledgeable. I'll be back for more plant purchases in the near future!

I went there on a hunt for cucamelons. They didn't have them but the lady who helped us was so helpful and nice. What a great place. I will definitely go back.

A big thumbs up to Bob in hunting down and finding a hard to find Blue Azure Germander. Simple fact working with nurseries .
As a backup I have learned to bring along the scientific name of a plant. Too many other nurseries and landscape employees have failed to chase the details and try & hand me the wrong plant! Some of us urban dwellers are also avid gardeners.
Courtesy,friendliness, and professionalism are the marks of service when visiting Summerwinds. A strong inventory, good selection, and quality stock describe a visit to this East Valley nursery on Country Club (AZ87)
The only thing that almost had me take away a star were prices. It's definitely a "full retail" markup.
Otherwise I strongly recommend stopping by.

I was impressed with the selection and the health of the plants.
I was looking for SEVERAL varieties of tomatoes. They had all I was looking for except one, and my list was pretty long.
I also came away with a few I haven't heard of that I'm excited to see grow.
I had been all over town with my tomato variety list and I was about to let it go and settle. One_more_nursery I said. This was it and I'm glad I went.

This is one of my favorite nurseries. The staff are knowledgeable, they have a great selection, and their plants are well cared for. This is always my first stop when I'm trying to decide what to plant in a given space.
The pricing can be hit or miss. I feel like I've gotten some good deals here; however, I purchased some vines recently only to see the same plants for 1/2 to 1/3 of the price at Whitfill's a few days later. But that being said, I still prefer the experience at SummerWinds and they've had a variety of plants that I haven't been able to find elsewhere.

I came here for the first time this week looking for pottery, after checking some other local nurseries and being shocked at the prices. Summerwinds had prices about 50% of some of the big nurseries, and a good selection. I also shopped around for plants, and was blown away by their selection of tomatoes, peppers and other veggies. They had so many varieties, especially of peppers, that I'd been unable to find at big box stores or big local nurseries.
The employees were also friendly and helpful, directing me to different plants, answering questions, and politely informing me that they were closing after I lost track of time looking at pottery. They still let me check out and then helped me load heavy pots into my car. Great experience.
