I went online to schedule a pickup. Uploaded the pictures, paid for pickup fee, and I was told via the website, that my pickup would be anywhere between 7am and 2pm. I called the day before. I spoke Sandy to see if they had any idea for a time frame. She told me, although she couldn't guarantee, it looked like it would be around 930-1030. Perfect!
Well, the pickup day comes. I waited around all day, with my door open, so I wouldn't miss them.. and nothing. No phone call. No text. No email. I called Sandy, left a message and never heard back. I called the Mesa location, spoke to Adam. He was very kind and apologetic. He said Sandy wasn't there. He asked if I had received an email (at that point I hadn't checked). He also said he would reach out to her. If I didn't hear back, to call the following day. Well, I didn't hear back from anyone. I called the Mesa location today. The person who answered just wanted to transfer me to Sandy. I told him that was not good enough. I asked if Adam was there. He's says no, it's his day off. I then stated I wanted a manager. Of course he was "on lunch break" and was told they would call me back. Well, wouldn't you know it. It's now 8pm, and I haven't heard from anyone. So, I still have a bunch of items to be donated, I paid $25, (which I guess I need to request a refund) and NO communication. I assume my donated items are not worth it for them.

They have changed all the prices to MORE than retail. This used to be THE BEST store. A couple of months ago they went crazy with pricing. $125 for a busted file cabinet? And most of the stuff has old pricing on it. Look under the tag and it was probably 25 cheaper a while back. I get using pricing a bit but I’d rather buy new and be able to return something if it’s not right. Go back to the way you were.

Great place for home remodeling and diy. Also second hand home and office furnishings and appliances. Reduce and recycle non profit.

I love going to Stardust because I can always find everything I need for my houses at very reasonable prices. Phil was very helpful while I was looking for a refrigerator today. Also, after I bought it he called to let me know that I left my credit card at the store. I appreciated the call and want to commend him for taking care of the customers.

I really like Stardust Building Supplies. Stardust is a nonprofit thrift shop offering salvaged & used building materials. I have been recycling for years as I hate throwing things in the landfill. I take any usable construction materials to Stardust. They don't take everything like used carpet, open containers of grout and some other items. I have found quite a few hard to find things there like cabinet doors, drawer fronts, ceramic tile that is no longer in stock and appliances. One time I found a granite sink top that was in great condition. The pictures are the master bath sink that was already there. I was able to find a sink top for the hall bath that matched and was about one third the cost of a new one. It is a plus that you can return things that don't work albeit it has to be within in a few days. Like all thrift stores this is a treasure hunt. Some things are beat up and some are in good shape. They have limited employees so there is not really anyone to help you find things. They also support the animal rescue called Lost Our Home and have one section for large donations like furniture and art.

Basically a thrift store for building supplies. If you're careful and creative, this is a good place to repurpose old building supplies.

Very reasonable pricing for items even though you have to pick through items. If you have a project on a shoestring budget and know exactly what you need give them a try. Measure and know the sizes you are looking for.

Their prices continue to go up. Used to be able to get great deals now, you have to really pay attention to the colored tags in order to get a good savings.

Good selection of used items, large store. For new, the price of cabinets is the same as buying from Lowes, which was surprising.
