DONT DO IT! Absolutely the worst salon/barber experience I've ever had with my kids (and I have 3). Would give no stars if possible. We got a welcome in from everyone, no eye contact initially. Then it was time for my 4yr old to get his haircut, he doesn't really wiggle around like most kids. The stylist was forcefully holding his head down. He's been to the barbershop and does pretty well.There was very little conversation or interaction with us or the kids.The stylist asked me to look at my son's hair I asked her to take the sides in a bit, like taper it because it didn't flow in front. She literally clippered a chunk into each side instead of using scissors. Ok then we move onto the next kid, my 3 year old.. we stated he had not been to a salon before. He did not like the cape around his neck and instead of trying to work with him/us they held his head down with alot of force all while running the clipper guard into the back of his head numerous times. He screamed and cried the whole time. I tried calming him but they would not stop trying to clip his hair. Like let's hurry up and get this done. No time, no care...for a sensory sensitive child this was a lot and I even stated that. They continued. I felt as if they tried to get me to just clipper both my boys hair, to get them out as fast as possible. This is not what we asked for or hoped for. I really hoped the bad reviews were wrong. I was incredibly wrong and will not ever be returning. 2 stylist and maybe 4 sentences total were spoken to us and the kids. It's hard to imagine that they work with kids everyday. Do NOT bring little kids here, the barbershop we go to is much more compassionate and interactive with kids.

I have been here twice and both times have been great experiences by the stylists. They are quick yet patient with the kids. I have two girls and they left so happy that they got their hair styled, nails painted and balloons. What an experience and all within 30 mins! Thank you!!

Just took my son for a haircut here. Very disappointed. Staff was not welcoming nor did the stylist seem like she knew how to work with kids. It was dead silent. Although i will say Danielle was very fast, she did not listen to what i asked for AT ALL. I specifically said i am NOT ready for my 16 month old son to have a short hair cut yet, and she cut off ALL OF HIS HAIR!!! We agreed on one inch to get the hair out of his eyes, and she proceeded to cut off about FOUR inches. I felt that she took the scissors and clippers and did what she wanted to do. I am very VERY upset by this, as i was NOT ready or prepared for my son to have short hair. Will never be coming back.

Got my daughter’s first haircut here which I definitely regret. The pictures on the website are not how it looks in person. Half the chairs aren’t working. It was awkwardly empty and quiet in there when we went. The lady doing my daughter’s haircut experience seemed like she didn’t know how to work with kids at all, and not because my daughter was moving around a bunch or anything like that. My daughter is super talkative and she kept trying to talk to the lady since she was excited, and the lady just had these monotonous responses. It didn’t seem like a fun upbeat place at all. I was just pretty disappointed because we paid for the whole first haircut package and it was not what we hoped it would be for my daughters first haircut.

It was my son's first haircut and Danielle did amazing! My little guy cried the whole time and kept moving his head and she was still able to get it done. I will definitely be bringing him back again. The atmosphere was great.

First time here was amazing. Nikki was the best at making sure my son was comfortable for his first haircut.
THIS time around was HORRIBLE. I should’ve scheduled with Nikki again but I wanted to get in early due to other errands. So I unfortunately scheduled with “whoever” and it ended up being Krystie Kristie? Not sure. She has brown hair?? Anyways she was completely RUDE did not have any enthusiasm or energy and my son was actually scared to have his hair cut and she didn’t care. Instead of asking him to move his head up and down she just gripped his head and moved it in that direction. I even yelled SHEEESH at her. I get it I was the very first appointment for the day but don’t take YOU being cranky out on my son. Not sure I’ll be back, but if I do it’ll most definitely be with Nikki.

Went here for my child’s first haircut just to be disappointed. Nobody was welcoming or cheerful like I thought it would be since it’s a KIDS place. I had scheduled with Kirstie, she was rude and didn’t make me feel comfortable nor did she try to talk to my child or try to make him feel comfortable. Then she’s cutting his hair and cut a big patch of hair that’s noticeable which I noticed and when I told her she proceeded to try and cut more in the same area when I clearly wasn’t happy so I stopped her and said it was all just fine and payed and left. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone and will definitely not be going back there!!

I felt my eyes getting watery as I watched my daughter get her hair cut. I think it was a very nice experience for her to have. Nikki did a great job with her haircut and was very patient and kind through the whole process.
It was my daughter's first time having her hair washed in the sink, but Nikki helped calm her nerves almost immediately. Having her nails painted after was a nice surprise too. It makes me want to come back for a mommy and me experience next time.
Nikki really did a great job. She was very attentive to detail. My daughter has 2 spirals making cuts challenging, but Nikki got the job done well ??

My LO would not let me cut his hair anymore and it was just covering his eyes. This place was perfectly distracting and the stylists were very experienced making it pain-free for all involved, phew. Of course, this was my son's first time, so who knows how the second will go! Anyway, given how resistant he is to home cuts, it was well worth it for me!

Easy to schedule online and all the ladies in the shop are so efficient, kind, and patient with my kiddos! My girls love all the extras (nail polish, hair clips, glitter, etc.) and beg to come back again and again ?

My Granddaughter had a wonderful Day of Beauty at the Shar key's Cuts for Kids Salon in Scottsdale, Valerie, the beautician was amazing and made Riley feel very comfortable. She sat in a Frozen car , then had her nails done ! she chose the gold metallic color polish and kept asking people to smell her Birthday Cake shampoo in her hair! I would recommend Sharkey's Cuts for Kids to anyone looking for a fun experience for boys and girls. There are videos to watch as well , colorful balloons hanging on the ceiling and you get a balloon when you leave and a lollipop!! When my granddaughter is back for a visit, I'll definitely make an appointment!! Thanks Sharkey's for a great day!!
