If you add any of their checking accounts, make sure to deposit the minimum balance day of account opening to avoid fees. I opened Community interest checking on July 26th, my next available direct deposit was August 4th where minimum balance was exceeded. Customer service rep told me I didn’t have the $500 minimum balance starting on July 26th. Fee was taken on September 1st, small fee but fee nonetheless. No grace period for new customers. They will not waive even once for new checking account customers- per customer service, “the bank wants that fee” definitely from new customers, but may help established customers. Other banks tend to be more forgiving and have grace periods for new customers as they would like to retain customers. Poor customer service. Otherwise, the customer service line was fairly quick to navigate and talk to a human on a Saturday.

Without exaggeration, it took nearly 45 minutes and 4 employees to close my account because they couldn't perform basic math (subtraction). To date, I'm still unsure whether they correctly change the address on my other account so it's going to necessitate a phone call.
