We went to this store and found something we wanted. We walked up front to the register and no one was there. We waited for about 4 minutes and got tired of waiting. So we just left the item we wanted to buy on the counter and left. We could have walked out with it and no one would have known.

Never order from online website!!! Takes two weeks before order can be processed and shipped. I suggest find a store that has what you want in stock and go pick it up. Customer service is in the Philippines!!!

Staff was short with me when I thought I was helping out by letting them know their sign out was out.

My wife sent me here for something so you can imagine how lost I was when walked into Joann's for the first time. The staff here was extremely pleasant and helped me find exactly what the boss was looking for in under a minute! Thanks for making me the hero, Joanns!

Today I was at this Joann's with my friend to get some fabric. We found the fabric she was wanting and went to the cutting table. The lady there, Diane, was talking to another women. The women left and my friend asked Diane if she needed to take a number or what. In a pissy tone Diane responded that she has been trying to search something and needed the time to do it. (Sorry you are having to deal with customers, which is your job). We told her no problem and I asked again if my friend still needed to pull a number. Diane told us no. It didn't take her too long and my friend needed to look at some thread so I told her I would let Diane know how much she needed of each. Two of the materials were plaid and two were solid. She cut the first plaid, which was a black and white Buffalo check. She cut using the cutting guide on the table. The plaid was a little off but not too much so I didn't say anything. Then it came to the green plaid. The person that cut it last used the cutting guide to cut it and the plaid was off by 3 inches. I mentioned to Diane that my friend was going to be shorted her yard if she cuts that on the guide and not the plaid line. She was like, "then what am I suppose to do"? I tried to explain that if she would move the material over the 3 inches it was off and then make a notch at the cutting guide then she could follow the plaid line. She informed me that it would be really crooked for the next person. I tried to explain that you cut the line and if the next person will cut the line, the customer can then stretch the material from opposite corners and it would straighten it and it would be usable. She wasn't listening to a thing I was saying. She was just getting mad at me. (Side note, I have worked where I was over cutting fabric for customers). I finally got her convinced to do that, but she did it very begrudgingly. She had unrolled the whole roll of material to see if the other end was as crooked and yes, yes it was. After she cut the yard off that my friend needed I told her I would put the material back on for her while she cut the other two materials. She grabbed it from my hand and threw it over to the table behind her. Then when cutting the next material, which was a solid, she pointed to the fold line that was on it, because it didn't line up straight. Snotty, she says, "is that going to work"? I told her yes, because it was a solid color with no lines. She cut that and another piece and was done. So how much experience does she have with sewing? She should know or have been trained how to cut plaids. And it looks like (by the cut another employee made) they are not taught how to cut plaid fabric. Diane also doesn't seem to understand that her job is a customer service job. Sorry that a customer is coming to you asking a question, but I do think that is what you are paid for. If you don't know what to do with the plaid being off, maybe listen to that customer. I wasn't trying to rip the store off, but I feel my friend should get her full yard for what she is buying and not shorted. I usually will not go there, because of my experience over the 30 years I have lived by this one. The ladies are not so nice. I prefer to go to Hobby Lobby. They are great there and I have bought plaids there and they cut them right. I did call the store manager to talk to him, John. He didn't answer and I have not heard back from him yet. Doubt I will. This store has been a mess for many years. I also use Yelp to let others know of issues. A lot of the places do nothing to fix a problem if you talk to them, but customers should know there are issues and then make the choice if they want to deal with it.

When I go to JoAnn's it is a treat since there are none close (Apache Junction, AZ) to where I shop. This one was very low on papercrafting stock also as other location have been. They have become more of home decor store then crafts anymore. I am thankful that they have kept their fabric and sewing departments through the years. And while I was disappointed with my last few trips I will continue to be a loyal customer.

I went to this store today. I had seen some poor reviews. Everyone I encountered was kind. I needed help finding material and asked. The lady stopped what she was doing and helped me find what I needed. I needed to measure something I had brought and she helped me with the addition. The check out line had one person in front of me. I will continue to use this store.

I walked in the store on Saturday 4/22/2023, around 1:00 p.m. I was not greeted. An elderly lady came through the door seconds after I did and she received a warm hello. The girl who was putting stuff away in the cotton fabrics clearly saw me. That was very rude of her. Joann's needs to train their employees to respect all customers regardless of age or color of their skin. My money spends just as well as the next person.

Diane was an incredible customer service associate! She took her time, made the connection, and went above and beyond to make my trip productive and enjoyable. I will be back if not for anything else but for her smiling face!

I would rate below 1 star, if I could. Their website does not give an accurate description for Airtex 1' High Density Foam (30% off Foam By-the-Yard). I ordered 3 yards, which is 108 inches. I needed 84 inches all in 1 piece. I received 1 piece of 72 inches and 1 piece of a little over 34 inches. I wasted $38.63. When I called, I was told that the foam was sold in lengths of 72 inches. NO WHERE IN THE DESCRIPTION DOES IT STATE THAT THE FOAM IS SOLD IN LENGTHS OF 72 INCHES! "The High Density Foam Slab 1'' x 24'' is ideal for a range of cushioning and craft projects. You can cut and trim this foam slab to work around various DIY concepts for your home or office upholstery projects. Use it to make camper cushions, boat seating, chair pads, office, garden benches and small foam cushions. This item is sold by the yard. This high density foam is long lasting and conforms to the California Bureau of Home Furnishings Fire Retardant Code 117-2013.Brand: Airtex Craft FoamDimensions: 1in thick x 24in wideSold by the yardWeight: 2 lbs.100% Polyurethane FoamDensity: 1.6 LBILD (Compression): 36 ILD" I will never purchase anything from Joann stores either on-line or at the store. Their customer service is NOT customer oriented.

The big store near Santan Mall in Chandler Arizona is amazing. I don’t know if there’s anything you can’t get there. Sales prices are very good but often only a day or three so act fast if you want to take advantage of sales. Staff is very busy but pleasant and helpful.
