Awful experience tonight. No prices are listed on anything correctly and no refunds or exchanges. Just paid $6 for thread which is insane!! These prices are not even worth coming to Joann’s because we’re paying more, not being able to use coupons

As many of you already know, JOANN Fabrics is officially closing its doors after filing for bankruptcy. Understandably, they’re trying to offload inventory, and the front of the store is completely covered with bold “Store Closing” and “Everything Must Go” signs—plastered across windows and doors.
I went in today to check it out for myself, and honestly, the experience was disappointing. First off, the sale prices listed on their app don’t match the in-store pricing. In fact, you can’t even place an online order anymore, yet the store refuses to honor those same prices in person.
On top of that, despite all the signs and online claims that everything is up to 40% off, not every item is actually on sale. When I brought this up to the cashier, I got vague responses and inconsistent explanations.
And here’s the part that really baffled me: I found a Halloween-themed headband and brought it to the register, only to be told they couldn’t sell it to me because it was “discontinued.” The cashier literally tossed it into a bin behind the counter. So let me get this straight—you’re in bankruptcy, trying to liquidate inventory, and you’re refusing to take my money for a discontinued item? How does that make any sense?
It feels misleading, disorganized, and frankly like poor business practice. No wonder they’re going under.smh

The store is closing so it probably doesn't matter much but they're advertising "up to 40% off" and there isn't much for 40% yet. What's surprising is that Christmas clearance items that were 50%-70% off in February are now only 20% off now so they are more expensive than before the store said they were closing.

Try avoid this location. The employees over here charged me for an item I didn't purchase & then refused to give money back. I asked the checkout lady(heavyweight, dark hair, believe her name was Elizabeth) to look at their camera, they refused to look that up as well. I asked to talk to their manager & they lied to me that she wasn't there. Not only that, Elizabeth told me to leave the store because I'd asked for the manager. I had to call the cops for the manager to magically pop up. PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE FALSELY CHARGE FOR ITEMS NOT PURCHASED. THEY ARE LIERS & THIEVES.
EDIT: 4 days later they had to admit there was no wrong doing on my end and it was THEM who had misplaced the item but at the cost of my hour being wasted, being mistreated and no remorse. They all should be fired and never be hired again for their lying and harassment of paying customers.

The store was a MESS. Not one associate seemed happy to work here. Much the opposite. Signs were not accurate. Prices were confusing. This visit was a waste of time. No wonder they're claiming bankruptcy for the second time this year.

Sewing department had worst customer service we've ever gotten at a fabric store. When I asked where the pattern books were, since they weren't with the patterns, they told me they were over on the table. I looked around and didn't see a table and asked if they could show me the table and she pointed in a general direction. Still not seeing the table, I asked if someone could please show me and they walked me over and pointed it out, the whole time acting very irritated with the fact that they had to help me.
Once my daughter found her pattern and started trying to find the fabric, nobody ever offered to help us or anything. Unusual for Jo-Ann's. We will not be returning to this location.

The people are so rude and never helpful not even when you ask can you get another cashier. They said no that's all we got. Even seeing employees in the back doing nothing. Very rude employees.

DO NOT GO !! This is by far the worst Joanne’s I have ever been to. Zero common sense or customer service. Drove 30 min for a pick up on items that were sold out at my local store. Checked into app and once I got there waited another 15 min. Decided to walk in and just grab my order and as soon as I walked in I got my first experience with the awful lady at the front.
She immediately asks as I walk in if I was there for a pick up order. And then started speaking to me like I just entered a prison and I better get in line if I want my items. Not apologizing once for keeping me waiting …even after acknowledging that she saw me check in on her end. I was so thrown off by her rudeness every instinct told me to just leave. But I had just driven 30 min to pick up these dang items. I chose to remain quiet and I walked over to the line. I could feel the awkwardness from every person in line because she was making us all feel very uncomfortable. My blood was boiling having to swallow how she just spoke to me after waiting for so long outside. It was silent and weird. After a few minutes she then starts shouted from her counter asking if I had my order number with me with 5 other people in line in front of me. I just looked at her blankly and said “I do not… they’ve always just asked my last name”… and then she just starts running her mouth I literally couldn’t tolerate it for another second. I said “keep the items.. I’m out of here”.
Called the manager on my way home and to be honest I doubt it was actually the manager. The same rude girl was at the counter and patched me through and knew exactly who was calling. Probably was a friend on shift . Talked to her about my experience and requested my pick up order to be canceled and she was literally responding like a stoned teenager. She said her name was “Jessica”. In fact I got very little response or apology from her.
To the manager….. you’re in customer service…. Stop hiring people who have zero social skills. Stop hiring people who have zero customer service skills or common sense! And please… do not hire people who speak to YOUR customers like they just entered a prison building. The fact that I had just driven 30 min… waited another 15 min …to leaving it all because of how uncomfortable your employee was making me feel by how she was communicating… that tells you enough. There are no skeleton themed Halloween plates in the world that are worth dealing with that for. Do better!

Items I need are locked saying have a staff help… but only staff is at desk checking ppl out. I left without help and i didn’t make my purchase obviously. Terrible service.
