Great hair dresser poor receptionist. But if you can’t get in after making an appointment, does it matter? I drove 7 hours for my appt today then got told they forgot to put me on. She had the message for the question I had for Tabatha ( tho never spoke to her) but no appt?? I had made it weeks ahead. Instead of calling the person booked after me and owning her mistake and doing my hair, the receptionist told me to pound sand. I got to drive 14 hr round trip and pay $150 in gas for nothing. I kept my promise to return for hair appts. The owner offered me a free service. Kind of an insult. I am not driving ANOTHER 14 hours R/T and spend ANOTHER $150 for a free service. I wanted my roots colored at the appt I made and kept. It’s insulting.

Desteny is amazing. She always has great suggestions to take care of my hair. I have had health issues that have affected my hair and she takes the time to make sure I get the best outcome. Highly recommend her.

A plus! Abigale listened to me then worked her Majic. What she did was a miracle! I can't say enough and would positively ask for her again and highly recommend her. All the ladies in the shop were friendly and helpful. I've been to a number of "high class" salons in Mesa but to me Divine Hair Design is the only place to go!

Awesome salon! They give you a consultation - actually discussing what you want to do with your hair - before they begin sculpting your attractive new look. I had a cut and style with Tabatha and she was so kind and professional. Thank you!

I really don't like leaving bad reviews and I'm sorry but have to. I originally called the salon and asked if they had anyone that uses a razor to cut because this is what works best on my hair. I have a unique cut, partially shaved head. The side that is long, I like it to look piece-y, not cut by scissors. They said they had a razor chick, but when I got there the girl doing my hair said she didn't use a razor. She assured me she was good with texturizing, so I went with it. I should mention they seem to take notes during your first appointment to record what you prefer, etc. I was growing out the hair on my non-shaved side and told her. I assumed I wouldn't have to repeat myself for the next appt. because she was writing stuff down. She did my hair perfectly. I was so happy. It was the first time in years I felt like myself. The next time I went in, I didn't provide instructions thinking she would refer to the notes she took. TBH I hadn't slept at all the night before and had my eyes closed the entire cut. When I got home and got the product out of my hair, the part I had been growing out forever was chopped off BAD. At least a couple of inches. It didn’t even connect with the lower part of my hair. I was mortified. I went in the next day to try and fix it but there really wasn’t much I could do. I took responsibility because I was half asleep. A couple of months later, I went back for a trim and specifically said, “Don’t touch this part.” That cut was ok. Months went by as I was still letting my hair grow out. My hair FINALLY grew back to a place it could be blended with the rest of my hair. It was long enough to wear the way I had been hoping for a long time. She chopped off a good portion of it AGAIN. I couldn’t really tell in the salon because of the way my hair fell but I’m basically starting over. I don’t understand how there can be such a miscommunication about “I’m growing this out, don’t cut this part” especially after having such a mishap. I’m so sad and bummed.

I rarely do these, but I needed to mention some things. I won't give my hairdressers name because this was my first time there and don't know if this is routine there?
I was there for a haircut and highlights. Prices sounded good, approx. under $150 but then was confused & shocked to hear IF I wanted my hair (finished) with blowout style, which has ALWAYS been a part of any hair appt I've ever had! Ever! That was another $55 dollars, now bringing this appt to over $200! I declined because my hair is short and has minimal styling if any.
I was hoping I'd be able to see how the haircut looked, which was really hard and didn't see how she could tell either?? Well, when I got home and finished the little drying left I could tell there were issues I wasn't able to address when there. ?
There are more things but I can't take more of my time or yours, but briefly, the shampoo sinks were quite uncomfortable on my neck with no small towel padding it. That was very unusual and disappointing to me also.

Amanda did a great job on my color and cut!! I usually go to Maria, but she wasn't available that particular day so it was great to have someone else at Divine Design whom I could count on to do a wonderful job!
