Simple transaction, good price. I hope to not move again, but if I need to ship a car, I'd call these folks again.

This transport company out of Falconer NY, Dependable Auto Transporter is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. Constantly promised specific pickup and drop off times that weren't even close. Showed up 20 hours late to pickup and dropped off 54 hours late...it was a joke. Ignored text messages and phone calls Car was delivered damaged from flat bed loading and unloading which they did several times for whatever reason. I think the driver towed the AWD station wagon on his stinger which ruins the AWD differentials but I can't confirm until I investigate the AWD. Also had roof scratches from? Didn't complete a pickup check list of existing damage at time of pickup. Run don't walk away from these guys!! I warned you mom

DO NOT USE! I hired this company to flatbead my car from WA state to Florida in 2008. Their website constantly showed that my car was in King of Prussia, PA for a good week. In reality, that was the location of the truck that was INTENDED to pick up my car from the West Coast. After I called them on the expected delivery date, they told me that I "should have known" that my car hadn't made it to Pennsylvania yet. The car was finally delivered two weeks late. They never gave me a discount or rented me a car. Never returned my calls, never acknowledged my reviews on Transportreviews.com or on BBB.

IF YOU ARE HERE THINKING YOU WILL SHIP WITH THEM. DO NOT DO IT. STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE, GOD, OR WHATEVER ELSE YOU FIND SACRED. I WARNED YOU. THEY DONT KNOW WHERE YOUR CAR IS. THEY WILL DAMAGE THE CAR AND NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. WHAT ELSE COULD YOU NOT WANT IN A COMPANY THAT SHIPS CARS? I won't waste words with this company because they are simply put, terrible. They have a device that recognizes phone numbers once you become a client so if you do, GOD FORBID hire this company, don't call them from the number they gave you or you will not HEAR from a person until the cows come home. Sent a 2016 Jaguar with them from California to Minnesota. ALL I EXPECT from a auto shipping company is: 1. Get my car to my destination on the timeframe you promise 2. Get my car there without destroying it or significant damage to it 3. Take responsibility for whatever happens 4. Great communication NOPE NONE OF THESE. They damaged the car, took photos at the location of drop off and also at pick up. The car was COVERED in pollen / dirt / some odd gooey / sticky substance. The interior of the car was dirty. Mileage had gone up. THE DRIVER was never heard from and they didnt know where he was. They then told me my delivery date would be pushed to much later than they originally planned. So after I changed all my plans, all of a sudden the driver called me ANGRY and irritated that I didnt know he was coming that day. They make you drop off at VERY sketchy locations in terms of "wow a crap ton of people will touch this car before it ever even makes it on a car," they DO NOT guarantee time, THEY WILL NOT HONOR damage claims saying it was there before hand cause the DRIVER said so, after they assure you about 50,000 in insurance and coverage. About $1800 damage done to the car on delivery. After making me take tons of photos and forms, the person involved JULIE OLD essentially said that the front bumper, doors, etc were not covered. Brought the before and after photos before I even touched the car from DAS to a local lawyer and they said no problems after reading verbage. I will not be going after them because of money issues, it will be over principle on how a shipping company can literally lie about EVERYTHING they should be doing and not be held responsible for it. I dont speak this angrily about many companies but if you are shipping your car VIA DAS, first, don't. Also some reps give you a discount on the shipping cost that they quote you some don't, then some will bait and switch you, should have seen the warning signs but I was partially d**** BELIEVE ALL THE BAD REVIEWS or contact me about and I can tell you more in detail.

DO NOT USE DAS! In years past, I successfully used DAS for my employee moves and myself many times. Their shipments were always a predictably week late, which we grew to expect. Back then they had real-time GPS tracking of the car. Customer service would provide proactive updates if there were delays. For terminal pick up and drop off, the terminals were usually DAS-owned. Trucks / drivers were usually DAs versus contractors. Cars showed up filthy normally but damage claims were paid quickly. It had been about 5 years since I last used DAS and Without checking any reviews, without hesitation, I booked a coast to coast, terminal to terminal move. Price seemed fair. But today DAS offers horrible service. Was quoted car would arrive to me in two weeks (so I expected 3 weeks). A week after the car being dropped off, their automated system said it was going to arrive on time. After two weeks same message. When i called for a live body, the calls went straight to the salesman's voice mail who never returned my calls. Oddly the origin terminal was a wrecking yard versus a DAS location and this was a major metro area. I learned to get a live person on the phone, I had to call using a different phone # that I booked my shipment on. That's fishy. After two weeks they said the car was still at origin terminal. They said I would be called back with a updated ETA and they were escalating the situation. Automated system now said "... Shipment is late." They called a couple days later and said car was being loaded next day and would arrive about 8 days later. Ok. I was fine with that. Somebody called me back at least. A week later I called local terminal who said they had no knowledge of that car coming in (normally they would). Local terminal is a 3rd party towing service. I called DAS back and interestingly the customer service person instantly sent me to the manager without proving me an update. Kinda scary. Call went straight to voice mail and manager never called back. Next day I was able to get a live body who said my car was just loaded the day before at the origin (allegedly). It wasn't loaded 10 days prior as the driver could not accommodate the load. Would of been nice if somebody told me this. They now hope the car will show up in about two weeks. But no promises. They would not agree to let me know if there would be additional delays. They said to call back and check the automated system which of course just says the shipment is late with no ETA. If I am lucky to get a live body hopefully they can provide updated info. At this point the car will show up 6 weeks after it was dropped off (I hope). Will update this sad saga later.

I worked with Bryan Evans to setup the shipment of a Honda CRV from my parents in Covington, Louisiana to Los Angeles. Picked up on September 7 and delivered on September 17. Pretty much everything happened when scheduled and no problems. I used DAS about 10 years ago and also had a pretty uneventful experience. I read the reviews this time around and most bad reviews seemed related to schedule. I didn't immediately need the vehicle so I didn't really stress out about its arrival date. Got an email when it was delivered to terminal in LA, went and picked it up. Pretty straightforward. Nowadays we all get tracking info now for every e-commerce package order from Amazon and other merchants. That's not what happens with an auto shipment but it would seem like providing that transparency would be a really nice service.

Do not use. Pay attention to the most recent 6 months of reviews as the company has really tanked. I use them back in 2013 to move from California to NYC with no issues, door to door. I booked them again this year to move back to California. Big mistake. Worked with Tyler L over the phone who sounded professional enough. They charged me the full move two days before picking my car up which really no company does, but I was okay with that because of my prior experience in 2013. They contracted to a third party who picked up my car which was then stranded for five weeks in New Jersey. All the time when I called to DAS my number was forwarded immediately to voicemail for Tyler, so I had to use a Google voice number to actually reach the real office phone tree. On the rare occasion I could hold for 20-30 minutes I was able to talk to someone who acknowledged that there was a long delay in shipping cars and that my case has been "escalated". Perfectly useless. I was able to secure a deal with the third party towing company to find a truck leaving from California for a small discount, and after threatening to file a lawsuit for fraud against DAS, starting a credit card investigation for fraud, was I able to secure a full refund for the car shipment from DAS. That comes after a month of rental car expenses which DAS does not take responsibilty for. I finally have my car but not after twice as much expenditures and stress trying to recover my car from a company which collected money and would have been content to let my job languish in a parking lot in New Jersey. Basically, fraud and theft. Long story short: do not use them.

Want your car to arrive more than a month after the estimated delivery date? Choose DAS Want to have fun getting stuck in the purgatory that is their phone answering system? Choose DAS. Want to enjoy leaving multiple messages to your sale's representative (Hi, Bryan Evans!) and never getting a call back? Choose DAS. Want to see your car sitting in one of their terminals that's less than half a day's drive away from your final destination for almost a month without getting shipped? You guess it, choose DAS Want to gain the experience of filing a Better Business Bureau complaint and never getting a response from the business? That's right, Choose DAS Want to feel that you are completely ignored and powerless after spending more than 1000$ on a service? What could it be...Choose DAS! Want to threaten a business with filing a police report to finally get them to take you seriously? CHOOSE DAS!

Set up the move with a MUST DELIVER DATE of 8/21. On 8/29, the car was still at the origin terminal. They don't return calls. They mostly ignore emails. They just don't care. We are now renting a car as of the 22nd and DAS could not care less. Called another shipper...car was picked up the same day as the call. I want a full refund from DAS.

Do not use this company!! Terrible customer service. Shipped two cars from NorCal to Massachusetts for a military move. First car picked up 7-19 and promised around 10 days later so around 7-29. It did not even leave the state until 8-9!!!! It was delivered along with the second car (which they took from us on 8-2) - both arrived on 8-16!!!!! Also once it arrived they did not give the 3 day window for pickup / it's like "we're delivering the cars in 1 hour so be home." But alas, we needed to pay for a RENTAL CAR to go to the beach with our kids for the day and were already on our way!!! Thank God for MILs!!!!! Ugh!! So if you don't care when you get your car and you won't get even any kind of actual time frame from anyone (towing company they use to pick up your car and bring it to the giant area for pickup), then by all means call "Dependable" Auto Shippers. Would give 0 stars but they don't allow it. Boo! They suck!

I had a terrible experience with this company, extremely Poor communication. For the most part no communication, no response, only time I spoke with him was to give them money upfront. Misses my ETA by three weeks. They also damaged both cars a brand new 2016 challenger and 1970 C10. The damage appears to have happened in the Storage lot which looks like a junkyard what a hell of a place to store two beautiful vehicles. I use this company 15 years ago to move the 55 Chevy was great. Now that the bottom of the heap. I would never use this company again nor would I endorse their services. This company gets 5 negative stars.

I had one great experience with this company 3-years ago, But it was a nightmare this time. First, the driver who was picking up my car on Long Island was 3-hours late (ruined plans for a last fun day in the city). Next, ten days later, on the day the car was supposed to arrive in Seattle, I get an email saying "Your vehicle is waiting assignment to a carrier or truck." Now I'm a pretty flexible dude (my nickname at one time was 'The Willow'), so I didn't let it bother me. Luckily I am able to walk to the train station and get back and forth to work without a car. Fast forward a week and I try calling the company using their 800 number. I try the "automatic status service" and always get, "Your vehicle status is :LATE" message. Really? You don't say. When I enter in my DAS tracking number I get sent to the salesman, Tyler Charles London, Consumer Relocation Specialist (310).525.2251 direct | 800.826.1083 ext. 2251, who took my original order. I leave a message. Nothing. I email him (at least 20 emails from different addresses over the course of this disaster). Nothing. Days pass and I call the number again and always get sent to London's voice mail. I call and call and call. I panic. Did the company go dark? Bankrupt? Is my car lost? A few days later I call from my office phone, and actually get to a live person in customer service. She tells me the company phone system "remembers" my mobile phone number -- identifies it as being a client of London's and automatically routes my calls to his desk. I tell her that sucks because he is not returning any messages. She's nice enough and explains there is a shortage of drivers heading west and all I can do is call back tomorrow to see if the status changes. I do this for another week. No luck. Now I'm in a jam. It's time to take my son to WSU (Go Cougs!) for orientation. But no car. I had to rent a car for the week for $355! While I'm in Pullman, I get a mail saying "Your vehicle has been put in-transit to its final destination." A few days later I get a call from a number from Puerto Rico. I ignore it believing it is spam. It calls a few more times. I ignore. Then I get a call from a Kentucky number. It's a dispatcher saying the truck driver with my car is at my home delivering the car. Remember I'm in Pullman! Luckily my wife is home (but in the bath tub), so after a few frantic calls to my son, who I ask to knock on the master bathroom door (and then shout after no response), we finally connect with the driver and get the car delivered. This took an entire MONTH to get my car. This company needs to improve communications with customers. I don't know how many times I listened to the voice tree message that said "You can check the status of your move at any time on the web site." Guess what. You can't! I searched every page and there is not a place to type in your DAS number. C'mon people. This is no way to treat customers. You know, the people who pay your salary? I'm kicking myself for not using Graebel. They offered moving the car as part of my relocation package, but I thought I'd save a few hundred bucks and go with DAS. WRONG! This decision cost me dozens of hours on the phone and emailing (I still have yet to get a single reply from Mr. London). Not to mention the rental cost, which I know would not be reimbursed by DAS, so I'm not even going to try. I will however, be calling the Attornies General of a few different states. One of the benefits of being a journalist for two decades is I know where to call to get some action. Hey if you're still reading this, here is my final piece of advice: DRIVE THE FRICKIN' CAR ACROSS THE COUNTRY YOURSELF BEFORE USING Dependable Auto Shippers! (Sorry for the all caps) ;-)

If I could do less stars I would. My car was shipped to Washington from Nevada through my husbands company. They damaged the back bumper and it has been over 8 months with still to claim check from them. I have emailed every few weeks since August 2015 and they tell me "management is reviewing it". I will continue to bug them until they pay for the damaged they caused to my vehicle. I hate to give bad reviews to company's and try to only review the good but this has been so frustrating. I have finally received a check from DAS. It's been well over a year.

If you are considering DAS, just stop right now. They don't have their s*** together. Not only will they not deliver your car in the 14-day contract range, they will have NO information for you (if you are lucky enough to get a live person) or lie to you about when your car will be scheduled for shipment. They will pick up your car through a towing company and everything will seem fine until you realize, hey, what happened? I wonder where my car is? It will be sitting at the tow lot for the next 3-5 weeks with no ETA. Don't make the mistake we did of trusting moving company (Allied, Mayflower, etc) referrals for auto shipment. DAS is not accredited on Better Business Bureau and has no interest in keeping your business or addressing these problems. Call another auto shipping company ASAP and do your homework (check its BBB ratings). FYI: Instead of actually delivering your car, DAS will charge you $54 per vehicle for trying to get your car released.

Please do not use this service they are unreliable. The customer service simply don't care that you don't have your car. They tell you lies about the status of your vehicle. They specifically tell you your car is on its way and days later it hasn't left the lot. They told us 12 days and it took 27 to get to Maine. So surprised they are still in business!
