We usually rent through enterprise but for some reason this time we went through Budget and we will never do that again. I always book through Costco for 2 drivers there is no additional charge. We’ll our 2nd driver was never added to the paperwork didn’t realize until it was to late and ended up having to drive a 12 hour trip solo because I was the only one listed in the PAPER agreement! The paper agreement was interesting to me I am used to everything electronic. When I returned the car they tried to charge me $90 for 10gallons of gas although the tank was FULL. I brought it to their attention and they did fix it however she said I don’t know why it’s doing that it did it to one other person today. So basically your telling me had I not checked the receipt you handed me I would have been out $90. No thank you. I do not trust them as a rental car company nor will I ever return. AVIS is also connected and run through the same building so if booking through Costco just be sure to check reviews before hand. I did not and almost literally paid for it.

I went online and reserved for midsize car…Later went to the budget on superstition springs in Mesa Az to pick up, for a one way drop off to Ontario CA airport…the guy that helped me ended giving me a SUV, I said I did not request a SUV in order to get better fuel mileage why I wanted a midsize..He responded only the vehicles with California plates can go to CA… how is this my issue, this is their problem… I didn’t feel like arguing, so I took the vehicle, once I walked out, I saw 3 vehicles of midsize with California plates,… again I didn't feel like arguing and go back inside… I own my own business I rented this vehicle for business, I rent many vehicles for business, and I’ve never had a anybody tell me this BS… Extremely poor customer service, I in good faith will not recommend anybody, I will be not renting again from budget or their affiliates again…

My rental was closed out early “by accident” had to find another vehicle because there wasn’t one. Then I never received my deposit back

Scheduled to pick up a car at 2. Waited in the parking garage with my 3 kids and 7 month old baby for 2-3 hours. Paid $480 for 3 days. Called them back the same day to ask if I could extend my drop off time by 2 hours without being charged for it. They said “not a problem just get it back by 5 o’clock closing time” which I did. When I returned the car they charged me an ADDITIONAL $490 for dropping it off 2 hours “late” and to refill the 1/4 tank of gas that I used. Customer service offered to “split the extra day” (2hours) with me and offered to refund me like $60. Customer service was rude, clueless and really thought it was justifiable to charge me $490 for being 2 hours “late” while I waited 2-3 hours after my reservation. Such a joke. Pick literally anyone else. Horrible service. Horrible customer service.

Worst experience ever I come in to swap out a bad tire and they closed my account and then said they have nothing for me I am currently stranded at the Phx airport with no car or ride out… they have screwed me and then said hey you can always Uber. F THIS PLACE DO NOT RENT FEOM THEM

The car was ok.... But when I picked it up, they gave it to me extremely dirty on the outside.... I had to go get it cleaned...

The vehicle was nice, the staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately whoever rented vehicle prior must have used as a party wagon, as the smell of Marijuana would knock you over. Was only an inconvenience until pulled over for speeding (oops). Officer was hit by the aroma, and full on DUI investigation initiated. Cost 45 minutes of our trip time to prove the smell was not from us. This was also complicated by no registration in the vehicle. Would still rent from in the future as needed, but will be far more cautious.

rented car August 2021 everything was great. Even got an upgrade without asking. Just rented another car to go out of town for 7 days. My sister is coming in from Utah and gets in after they close at 5. Was told that if I did not pick up the car today instead of waiting till the morning, it would double to coast of the rental. But I found out that was a lie. The recording for Budget states they will hold rentals for 24 hours with no changes to charges. Was not told until I got there they would be charging a $200 security deposit. Then when I got home and looked at my account I was actually charged $300 security deposit and my receipt says nothing about a deposit only list the cost of the rental. When I called to find out why was told that since I was going to have the car more than 4 days the deposit is $300 we just rented a car in July 2022 in Michigan from Budget and was not charged a deposit at all. I will never rent from this location again. In fact Budget probably lost a customer all together

Making the reservation and the pickup and drop off were very easy to maneuver. We felt the car could have been cleaned a little better. No major issues but it didn’t feel or smell fresh.

I had a terrible experience just now trying to reserve a car. First, I tried to online but the website was super glitchy and would kick me out unexpectedly and erase all my progress. So I tried to call, 1st phone call didn't even ring, it just had crazy music playing. 2nd attempt to call I got hung up on. 3rd time crazy music again. 4th time got an automated voice that directed me to someone in India and with all that she couldnt even get my perfectly working credit card to work(even though she took all my info and numbers) so now I have to pay extra with counter pay even though it was entirely budgets fault. If I have any issues getting my car tomorrow I will flip out

We booked a Compact SUV and given a standard Prius. When asked about it the clerk said it had a hatch back so it was similar. I am a larger person and prefer the SUVs. Easier on getting in and out. Had to change the drop off location because they do not offer after hour drop offs. Our flight was at 6 am and they open at 8 am. Had to change to the International airport for drop off and Uber to the other airport. Also the automated phone service is horrible. Was on the phone for almost an hour before actually getting through to a representative. And it wasn't because of being put on hold it was because of having to repeat myself over and over to the voice recognition.
