Please beware they have fake reviews to make their average star rating higher than it has ever been. The people who are reviewing this company all have fake pictures and 1 review which is this company.Just avoid this company they will charge you $65 for the claim and then give you the run around after that.

They dispatched a fake company to fix my AC. Then when they didn’t show they said they’ll try to get someone else the next day. It’s 104 degrees out and they don’t care about their customers at all. Will 100% be finding a new warranty company.

They tell you something is covered and then make you pay 75.00, and send out the most incompetent people, who don't want to do the work. So, they tell you it's not covered. Its a racket. The warranty company isn't going to cover anything. Don't give them your 75.00 bucks (they won't give it back), and don't use them as a warranty service!!

They're a racket. You call. They tell you if it's covered, tell you yes and then charge you to have someone come out who tells you it's not covered. They won't refund you for the service call either, and it's a lot. Most of the time, it would cover the service entirely if you didn't use them at all. BAD!!

1st week with Record high temperatures of the year and days over 120, my AC goes out. No AC company or contractor will work with me because I’m under a warranty with AHG. Called AHG multiple times, they’ve said they’ve scheduled multiple contractors to come out, all no shows. Finally after 5 calls I get through to one of the people they said they had scheduled, was told that he had never confirmed or been scheduled by AHG/Homestart. So for the last 5 nights myHouse thermostats have been maxed at 99 degrees, NO AC, dogs in the house, and I’ve been spending over $100 a night to stay in a hotel because someone doesn’t know how to do their job. Going to follow up Monday in person at their office in Mesa.

They must find the worst reputable contractors for the various services. Even now that they have re-branded to Homeserve, the contractors are horrible. I'm writing this as I am on hold with them to figure out why the A/C guy that they hired never showed... even after 2 appointments. The worst was the garage door company they hired. Guy came to replace a spring (covered under warranty), but said he couldn't unless I replaced the wheels and something else (not covered under warranty), as otherwise it wouldn't be "safe.". After lots of back and forth, I let him replace the wheels because I was already my service fee into the guy and another guy would be about the same thing just for the spring at that point. Their appliance repair guys tend to be pretty good, which is why I bumped them to 2 stars.

The plumbing service company that came out didn't attempt to fix the water heater. Just said its' old and should be replaced. This would have been fine if they didn't want to charge $500 to "upgrade" to current code. This upgrade including replacing 3 copper lines and a sediment trap. This is $100 in parts from Home Depot. When leaving the tech had an attitude about me not wanting to pay a 400% mark up on their cost.

This is the worst Home Warranty ever. As a 20 year real estate broker, I recommend you do not waste your money on this company. They have merged with Home Serve and hire unknown, unprofessional repair companies. My client has spent a week in the TX heat trying to get an AC repaired, still waiting!

I have submitted numerous emails (dates, times and contacts recorded) requesting an update regarding the reimbursement statuses. I have sent various text messages as well. The oldest reimbursement was submitted May 11th which is over 60 days ago. After several ignored attempts at contact, I was finally given a response that one reimbursement was approved and should be sent in the near future. Of course I was not given the amount of these reimbursements. After again waiting several days (all dates and times recorded), I reached out to again to confirm the status of the 2 reimbursements. It was at this time that I was informed that yes, they were approved but that the HVAC was at nearly 65% less than had been submitted. Needless to say this is absolutely unacceptable given the proper steps that were taken prior to service being completed. These steps include contacting AHG with the necessary service needed, gaining approval to seek a service provider, submitting a quote for service, getting approval for services to be completed, submitting a paid in full invoice and being told there were no issues. I was questioned regarding the size of the unit but at no time was ever given any information regarding a potential reimbursement rate/amount. I also submitted a home inspection report and prior service records as requested. All items requested from me were submitted within 24 hours.I have even gone as far as my real estate agent contacting the sales rep. The sales rep contacted me by phone and began sharing how he sells these service plans but that he tells the customer under the table that the reimbursement route is not a good option due to the minimal return that is received. This of course is not disclosed to the real estate agents who are contacted by your sales representatives and asked to distribute your materials. He was also going to follow up to make sure that this was taken care of. That was over 45 days ago and again, no response.I have waited days, most times, weeks for a response. I have followed each and every direction that I was given to ensure that the reimbursement process went as smoothly as it should. My documented attempts at contact were ignored for several days by both Margie and Darrel, as well as the original email recipient at
[email protected]. Most recently I contacted AHG directly by phone. I spoke with an individual by the name of Chrystal to follow up on the status. I expressed my concerns and she reassured me repeatedly she would be contacting Darrel and “get right back to me”. That was nearly 2 weeks ago and again no response. She even confirmed that I never received any reimbursement paperwork to outline the process. Paperwork that apparently would have further explained the reimbursement rates of return.I have documented and recorded each phone call, email and text message. I have every informational form that was provided since I paid for this service - in full for the highest coverage offered, as I was under a much different impression of the company at that time. I have responded quickly to each and every request that has been made of me. I have submitted documents in a timely manner. I, as the customer, have been the only individual attempting to maintain contact or open lines of communication during this entire process.I will be submitting a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau regarding the lack of transparency and professionalism that I have experienced during my time as a customer of AHG. I will also be contacting the real estate office that I recently purchased my home to and will be informing them of my situation and advise them not to distribute AHG as an option for home warranty coverage given my current experience. AHG has numerous negative reviews on social media and internet outlets. I decided to proceed with your company, against my better judgement due to the coverage options and pricing. I will now do my part to ensure that other potential customers do not fall into the same situation that I currently find myself in.

Had policy with them for more than 2 years. First time I invoke their services for water heater leak and the experience with them was a nightmare. The contractor that they sent asked for $1400 to fix the issue with 50% down payment immediately. I paid and after talking to my neighbor realized that they were charging me exorbitant amount. I cancelled the services with the contractor immediately When I talked to AHS they offered me cash payout of $400 (I had already paid them $107 for their initial assessment). It was a big hassle to get the refund from their contractor. Number of calls , holds with AHS and the contractor made my first service call truly horrible experience. Cancellation of policy was also not a very easy process. They keep you on hold or keep transferrring to other departments who never pick up the phone. Overall awful experience...They don't deserve even 1 star.

Critical: Responsiveness, Value My ice maker went out on my frig in May. It still has not been fixed. The last thing I heard regarding the repair from the contractor was that AHG cancelled the parts that were ordered. They said it was cancelled last month and seemed surprised that AHG never told me. I called AHG, and they said someone would get ahold of me. I never heard back. I called again today, and they said someone will call me. Six months to fix a simple ice maker and then they cancel the repair but don't tell me? Seriously? Does anyone know how to get their attention or get them to perform on the warranty contract?
