The BEST grocery store I've ever shopped at. There is a Fry's right down the street from our house, but we drive 4 miles just to go to this one.
First off, it's massive. They have patio furniture, grill accessories, a huge pet section, a big pharmacy area, a wine bar, a cheese bar, a salad bar, a sushi bar, and more I know I'm forgetting.
Everything we need, we can get from this Fry's, their selection is incredible.
The other amazing thing about this Fry's is that they actually STAFF this place properly and constantly have at least 6 register lanes open. Even at the busiest hours on the busiest days, I don't think we've ever had to wait more than 5 minutes. This is one of the rare modern grocery stores where it's actually much, much faster to go to a cashier and bagger than do self-checkout (unless you're only buying a handful of things). I
I really hope they never change. I hope this modern business model of having customers wait 15 minutes to be rung out so that they can keep the minimum staff possible never rubs off on them and they continue to hire people who actually care about their job. I know working at a grocery store is no one's ideal permanent career, but man does it make a huge difference when they have a good attitude.
We will be coming exclusively to this grocery store for years to come so long as they never change from the current model they have.

I've been a regular customer at this store. and unfortunately, my experience has not been great. The customer service has been lacking, and I often find myself having to bag my own groceries. It feels more like shopping at Walmart rather than the quality experience I used to expect here.
I'm not sure what's happened recently, but the store just isn't the same. I hope management takes steps to improve customer service and ensure there are enough employees to assist with bagging. A better shopping experience would make a big difference.

The self checkouts with belts need to go to make room for better self checkout lines.
Everytime without fail I am shopping alone, so I ring myself up, pay, then go to bag my groceries. Without fail, some idiot decides now is their turn to ring up their stuff before I even bag my first item.
I get it, no employees, baggers aren't in the budget... Or they're too busy chit chatting "retrieving carts". Whatever.
If I bag first then pay the machine yells. But the only other 3 self check out lanes are in use each time or broken/shut down.
It's dumb. Either bag my groceries, open a normal lane, or fix the machines.

Never. Any. Shopping. CARTS!!!!!! Talking and jawing clerks out in the parking lot? Yes. Any carts? No.
It is every single time. It’s so ridiculous. The rest of the store is nice. I just wish I had some kind of Sherpa to carry all my stuff for me when shopping.

I bought meat that got bad in my fridge after 2 days. It became stinky and black and slimy. I went to exchange it, they told no without receipt. Who would expect expired groceries and keeps receipt around? So I had to throw away $100 meats that I bought 2 days ago

This store is terrible. I hope Kroger is not allowed to merge with Safeway or Safeway will be ruined. Kroger has gone downhill quick.

The store is nice, but nothing looks worse than employees standing in the isles talking to each other and then looking annoyed when he kindly ask them to move to get to a item, don’t they know if they have time to lean they have time to clean, you can have the most beautiful state of the art store but if you have lazy employees just hanging around doing nothing it looks terrible

They never have shopping carts in the store. Every time I go here, I have to go hunt down a cart in the parking lot. They simply don’t have enough shopping carts!

Absolutely love coming to this Fry's! We always wait in line for Lori to be our cashier. She always makes our day and puts a smile on our faces. Give Lori a raise she is the best lady!!!

If it was possible to give negative stars, I would. Without a doubt, this is the worst grocery store in all of Phoenix. If the checkout person tries to help you bag your groceries. Don’t let them, they will leave something out and you won’t know it until you get home. This has happened to me 3 times. The produce is horrible, the aisles are crowded with personal shoppers and restocking workers yet they perpetually are out of things. Probably because the “locust” (personal shoppers) have grabbed it all. Worst grocery store.
