Gold King Mine & Ghost Town is a fascinating and fun place with lots of history, located about a mile from Jerome. Visitors can explore vintage and rustic vehicles, cars, trucks, and historic mining equipment on a self-guided tour. The tour includes exhibits such as a 1914 sawmill, a mineshaft, and an array of historic buildings like a dentist office, school house, and mining cabin. There is so much to see that one could spend all day. The views are absolutely beautiful. Guests may also catch a blacksmithing demonstration, enjoy a petting farm, or try activities like panning for real gold, cracking a geode, or feeding the animals, though some youth activities are extra. The people are great and the experience is highly recommended. Be prepared for very little shade and a bumpy but fun ride on the approach.

Had a wonderful time. The views were absolutely beautiful. The ride was bumpy but fun. Vivian was an excellent guide, so friendly, very knowledgeable, and an excellent driver. I would recommend this tour to anyone and would say ask for Vivian.
