For a kitschy novelty motel, this place really comes through on the amenities. Checking in was easy, and the staff were really easygoing and helpful. The lot is full of classic cars (including an old Tow Truck that looks like Tow Mater from Cars), but there's plenty of parking around them. The room was clean and well maintained. The only issues I had were with the heater, which was a little loud and finicky, and the bathroom mirror, which is at a really odd angle due to the architecture of the wigwams.

Cozy, and the inspiration for Radiator Spring's Cozy Cone Motel of Pixar's film CARS! I stayed here once years back and recently visited again. I was doing a fun weekend drive down the Route 66 and stopped in to get some rest for a night. Such a throwback to a bygone era, the Wigwam was clean, comfortable, and temperature was perfect. There are classic cars and trucks parked throughout the property and there's a nifty little museum and gift shop in the lobby with curious artifacts.

We decided to drive Route 66, and came across the Wigwam Motel. Who wouldn't want to stay in a Wigwam. The vibe is definitely nostalgic. There's plenty of classic cars which is always a plus. This is a no frills place so you're not going to find big chain amenities. The exterior of the wigwams could use a fresh coat of paint. The woman at the service desk was polite. She turned on the heat prior to our arrival. I could smell the bleach upon opening the door. The room is bigger than expected, two full size beds. The inside could use freshing up too. The beds were comfortable. Nice hot shower but definitely bring shower shoes. The road noise and trains were okay with us, there's ear plugs available. Overall it was ok, we're between a 3 or 4 rating. The best part of our stay was we were near Mater's Grand Pappy's truck.

My husband was a bit skeptical as we pulled in at night, but quickly changed his tune. It is really cool how they preserve the nostalgia and still provide all the modern comforts. Loved the old cars scattered around. Also, no noise from neighbors, because they are all there own little house. Would definitely stay here again. Also, Holbrook is pretty historical and was featured in the movie Cars.

Very memorable place, has lots of charm and character. We had an issue with one of the heaters, but the manager very quickly got us into a different wigwam. Even though the back of the property backs up against the BNSF mainline (60+ trains a day), I would rarely hear/feel them. I had a bigger issue with mufferless cars just outside on the road.Definitely one for fun memories, and a pleasant change from the indistinguishable hotels we normally see nowadays.

Pretty neat and unique place to stay. Late check in was easy. The heater is super loud, which is my only reason for a 4 star review. Other than that, the room was clean and warm despite the freezing night and the classic cars scattered all over the lot are cool to walk around. The train noise is fine if you've ever lived near a train or highway before, I actually like the horns at night.

We decided to try something different this time in Holbrook. Wig Wam is a fun, little historical motel. Don't expect an upscale motel here. It's an authentic, Route 66 motor lodge (sort of). The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Nothing fancy, but plenty of space and everything you need. It is next to the railroad tracks but they do provide ear plugs if you need them. And the water pressure in the shower is unlike any place else! If you're looking for something fun for a change, check them out.

So glad places like this are still around to show my kids what life was like before the interstate. If your kids love the movie Cars, this is the place for them! This is a nice place to stay. Room is clean, bed is pretty comfortable.

Cozy, and the inspiration for Radiator Spring's Cozy Cone Motel of Pixar's film CARS! The bright green neon is as warm and welcoming as the manager who communicated with us as we drove east down Route 66. We didn't want to miss the opportunity to sleep in a Wigwam, and neither should you! Such a throwback to a bygone era, our Wigwam was clean, comfortable, and temperature was perfect. I was tired, so I didn't hear the trains rumbling by on the nearby tracks, but there are ear plugs provided for your convenience. There are classic cars and trucks parked throughout the property and there's a nifty little museum and gift shop in the lobby with curious artifacts. The next morning, we were treated to an amazing sunrise as we continued our trek toward Chicago. Strongly recommend!

Nestled along the iconic Route 66 in Holbrook, Arizona, the Wigwam Motel is a unique and charming accommodation that offers a nostalgic glimpse into the past. Built in 1950, the motel features 15 concrete and steel wigwams, each tastefully decorated with Native American artwork and vintage furnishings. The motel's central location makes it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, including the Petrified Forest National Park, Meteor Crater, and the Grand Canyon.#camping #nomad #sprintervanlife #rvliving #rvlife #sprintercampervans #sprintervan #nomad #vancamping #workcation #rvnomads #rvnomad #rv #digitalnomads #digitalnomad #rtr #quartzsitearizona #ctarmor

Such a fun little place to for an overnight stay! Not your typical motel by any means and in a good way! Super clean, quite and a fantastic collection of vintage vehicles!I love the craziness and nostalgia of it. Definitely stay here if you're looking for something out of the norm.

This review is a couple years over due, but wanted to pass on the great experience we had at the Wigwam Motel. Back in August 2021, our reserved room had an issue with the air conditioner, but the young woman at the front desk took care of us and got us setup in a single room bringing in another bed and linens to make it work for the 4 of us. A+ for service.

The bed and pillow were lumpy, but somehow were the most comfortable I've slept on during our trip. Hot shower, great staff. Wonderful place to stay. Great nostalgia, but also a good room. Highly recommended!

Took a road-trip doing Route 66 and this was our favorite stop!! We called last minute to get a booking and it was no problem at all! Even pet friendly! The woman in the office was sooo sweet. Stayed open later than expected so we could look around! I loved my experience here and would absolutely stay here again. Very affordable!! Pet fee was ab $25! Cheaper than hotels!! Best experience ever!! 10/10 recommend

Plan ahead and get your reservations months in advance. They have the only real Mater on route 66 I could find. The old car selection here is very nice. This is a must stop on the route to get a reminder of the road in its hay-day. I really enjoyed it.
