It was so cold and a lot of snow. But it was good and not many people.

Beautiful camping site, we can park our car near the camping site. Each camping site has separate Fire rings and a picnic table. Near to the store and you can purchase literally everything from the store. When we camped there it hit -11 degrees (25th of December) but we managed.Restrooms: Restrooms are very clean and they have flush toilets.

My family and I enjoyed this campground a lot. We’ve been camping in Zion and a few other national parks. This one was our recent favorite because the noise levels were respectful, no one bothered us, we had great neighbors, and of course great easy access to the Grand Canyon.

The best for camping inside the national park. It's inexpensive ($18/night). FYI sites are in close proximity so its easy to hear your neighbors & vice versa.Mix of tent & rv campers. It's unpleasant when RVers use their gas generators.Bathrooms are clean but noisy. They have air hand dryers which can be heard throughout the campgrounds.Dogs are welcome.Restrooms: CleanDog-friendliness: Plenty of dogs. Lots of trails to walk with them.

Decent campground but not great. Was expecting better in Grand Canyon. Showers are $2.50 for 5 min. They close for a while during noon for cleaning, but still dirty. Laundry and showers close very early. Camp store closes early. Quarter machine in laundry room stole a quarter. They do not take action during the quiet hours. A group of gen z rolled up at 8:30pm across from us and we’re loud till 1am. There’s no one to contact once office closes for situations like this. Campground assistant on duty is comfy in his large camper by the bathrooms. Wouldn’t probably stay again.

It‘s pretty hard to even snag any reservation at this campground, so we had to book two different ones for our 2-night-stay here at Mather. First CG was in the Aspen Loop, Nr. 50. Perfect spot right by the toilets and water-station. Aspen is very close to the shower & laundry facilities aswell as to the bus-stop. Toilets were pretty clean. Our second CG was in the Juniper Loop; number 121. Again, right by the toilets and water-station, however pretty far from all the other facilities. A pro is that it’s quieter there and there‘s more Elks roaming around, which tend to visit your campsite at any time of the day - don’t worry though, they are pretty friendly aslong as you don‘t get too close! Toilets in the Juniper Loop were a little bit on the older side, and not as well maintained. The showering-experience in these parks is always something new.. instead of having ONE consistent system, they are all different. The showers & laundromats here only take TEN QUARTERS (10x 0,25). There are change-machines; however they don’t give you *any* other change back except quarters, so you might end up with way too many of them in your wallet. The showers open at 7AM close at 6PM!! And there are 3 additional cleaning-times listed; 9AM, 12PM and 3PM. It appears however that these cleaners don’t know how to do their job - hair everywhere in the drains, dirty floors and a weird smell. You can buy laundry detergent for $1.45 (or 1.75?), however you need coins for that aswell..Rangers are really kind & helpful!

Came to shuttle rim to rim hikers and do a little sightseeing. Would have been 5 stars if not for the fact I spent the first 10 minutes picking up bits of trash. Spent a lot of time in camp which was very quiet during the day but filled up in the evening. Recommend a loop with spots facing the forest to keep activity/noise to a minimum and you have a better chance at seeing some wildlife.

The campsite is well organized and always tidy. The toilets are clean. The showers are not recommended. 5 minutes use cost 2.50 and they were dirty. DumpStation available.Restrooms: Toilets were always clean and state of the artPicnic area: The individual areas are equipped with a bench, a table and a fireplace.

Campground is well organized and laid out. Out site had reasonable shade and room for our tents, though one tree had fallen down in the campsite and was just hanging on. The bathrooms were pretty rough. Two of the toilets didn’t work in the men’s and one didn’t have toilet paper our entire stay, so one toilet was “functional” which was not great. Wonderful location. Just needs a bit of better care.

I definitely enjoyed staying at Mather Campground. I highly recommend it. The showers are up front, and you need 2.50 in quarters for 10 min of shower time. The restrooms were not the cleanest, but the campsites make up for it. Anyways, enjoy and be safe.

good place for camping. Can set up a tent, or stay in the rv. It's nice and quiet for the most part. Has a bathroom that is relatively clean, and a drinking fountain is also available in the area. Has firepit as well. We camped with a 4 year old and an infant. pretty satisfied ?

What a great experience. The first come, first serve tent sites are well kept, clean, and plenty of trees. The weather was a bit nippy the weekend we went, but we will definitely return to this camping site. ?

We were just here again this weekend 5.5-7.23. this is s still a Great place to camp. Clean bathrooms and water near by. Inexpensive and right in the park.I would totally recommend staying here if you want to camp. Sure you can camp for free in the forest but why not stay in the park for less than $20!?!Some spots have more shade than others but most have some sort of tree near by.Elk will walk right thru your camp site as well as other critters looking for a handout so pack your food away. :)Definitely a recommendation from me!

Very nice campground was clean and had restrooms nearby. The spaces were a good space apart. We have a camper van and the only place we could stay and sleep in the van was in the horse area which was fine. You can also gather wood for your campfire and there's a little grate you can cook over the fire with. The night sky was also a beautiful scene.Restrooms: They were clean and close by.Dog-friendliness: My dog was allowed and he loved it.Picnic area: You get your own fire pit and tables.
