I banked with this company for 20+ years, being a loyal customer and even opening a credit card with them. Unfortunately I was a victim of a scam. When I went to the bank to see what they could do to help, they simply told me it was my fault and I was responsible for the negative balance in my account (-1500). Although I was upset, eventually I called down and asked if we could set up a payment plan. I had $1000 in my other accounts(for bills and Christmas) and essentially they said "ef your payment plan, we will take what little money you have to bring your account current". So they basically didn't give me a choice, took the other money and said I owed $450. I closed my account with them because I don't want to be associated with a bank that is not customer centered and willing to work with a loyal customer for 20+ years. When they went from Desert schools to desert financial, they became trash.

Don’t waste your time coming to this branch , they are the family dollar of banks , and family dollar is home of crackheads here in AZ. You switch out of this bank , you don’t wanna switch to this bank.

I have always loved this CU, until now with the new check policy...if you are like me, look elsewhere.The rep explained your new policy on checks. Have to tell you, I am seriously considering moving my accounts elsewhere after all the years I have been with you. I am a small business and I can NOT have my funds held up. Not fair to a small business that needs every dollar for payroll, supplies, fuel etc. In all my years, I have never had a single check bounce. Since everything is instant these days, you know right off the bat if the check is good. Not cool DSCU, not cool.

Horrible!!! Unbelievable that the ATM here will also not “read” my debit card. I do not bank here, but this is a CoOp ATM I can use. Please resolve this issue asap. Ironically the other credit union across the street has the same issue. If this is a service no longer available to other institutions, please make the banks aware. My drive is not around the corner. Waste of time and gas. Thank you

I was extremely impressed with the staff that helped me and my wife re-establish our account with your institution, especially her concern for my wife's disability in making everything so easy and convenient!!! Her thoughfulness made a sincere impression on me!

I would like to thank Desiree & Sean for their exceptional help. I was having issues logging in on a day where everything went wrong the moment I woke up. I don't know what Branch they are located at, and I would've like to email their supervisors direct, but I couldn't find that info. They were professional and very patient and I appreciate them. I will consider my retirement needs with Desert Financial

Every single time I come here the ATM's NEVER work. That is a major service to your customers that is never fully operational. Because the atms never work the lines inside the branch are always long. As long as this credit Union has been around I don't understand how this is still an issue.

I just want to thank Alleonor E, the Relationship Specialist that helped me with my car loan. Alleonor's customer service exceeded my expections. It has been a long time since I had such a helpful and friendly customer service. I hope Desert Financial realizes what an asset she is to their bank.

Third time I try using the atm here at this branch and this will be the final time. Usually I’m the weekends for some reason it never takes deposits. Today September 17 i came to make a deposit and it took my card but it completely froze on me . I have been waiting to get my card out the atm for 45 minutes as it stayed on the screen where it as which account you want to deposit money into but it doesn’t allow me to hit cancel or select and account . Now I’m worried someone may come after me and take my card once it decides to spit it out . I didn’t plan on spending my Sunday like this waiting outside for a atm to give me my card back . All the other members that have stopped by to use it I have been telling them it’s frozen . This truly is frustrating.

I visited the branch seeking assistance and initially contemplating the closure of my account. While explaining my situation to the representative, she was unresponsive and seemingly disinterested. She didn't make eye contact during our conversation, and when I mentioned it, she briefly acknowledged me but insisted that there was nothing that could be done to help.I turned to online services and spoke with a phone representative. He explored potential solutions and managed to find a way to address my concerns. From my own experience in customer service, I am aware that there are usually avenues to provide assistance, even if only in a limited capacity.My primary request was for any form of assistance, yet it appeared that the initial representative was determined not to extend any help. I hope she comes across this feedback and recognizes that making an effort to assist customers makes them feel a lot better than ignoring them

ATMs are never in service. Save your money and open an account else where. Cause nobody has time to come in during hours of operation due to working multiple jobs at a time. I switched to Mountain America and haven't had an issues.

Desert Financial is fine as a credit union. This branch though, don't try to deposit ANYTHING using the ATMs (both drive thru and walk up). Every single time I try to use them, they either are completely frozen, or do not accept deposits. I have been with Desert Financial for over a year now and unfortunately, they do not have many branches in the west valley. I work shift work, so I usually stop by during non business hours. If you need to deposit money, the ATMs are useless. Go during business hours and walk in. It's 2023 and they still can't get their ATMs to work.
